Sunday evening already here in Manila. It is a holiday tomorrow since it is National Hereos day. No work so I got invited to a small drinking spree. What is a drinking spree without bar chow? We are having chicken wings. One is spicy while the other is salted-egg flavored.

I grew up in a time when weekends meant spending Saturdays going out to the mall with the family while Sunday is reserved for staying at home and sharing meals with the family as well.
We'd go to my grandparents and we'd spend the whole day there. It is one big binge fest.
Too bad with what has been going on, we can't do this anymore. At least not until this pandemic is over.

Dinner and midnight snack rolled intoo one.
Ordered a cheese burger meal, one piece chicken meal, ten-piece nugget meal, two sundaes, and a soda. Load up for the long night ahead. It is the weekend but the work doesn't stop. Made posts in my paid platforms. Submitted resumes to potential new companies. Also did soem networking nd marketing for my online store. Just finished but very productive of the past five hours.

Dahil ilang araw na lang ay 'ber' months na, alam na this. Malapit na kumnta si Jose Mari Chan at syempre ever present na din ang mga paboritong pagkain pag Pasko - ang puto bumbong!
Dito sa amin, year round yun nagtitinda ng bibingka at puto bumbong. Naapektuhan din sila ng pandemya pero dahil MECQ na uli ay nakakapagtinda na sila. Favorite ko itong puto bumbong lalo na kung madaming margarine at muscovado sugar. Partneran mo pa ng kapeng barako... sarap!

I know it is almost lunch time but I wanted to post what I had for breakfast earlier.
Fried rice and salted fish. It is actually called 'tuyo' in the local language. 'Tuyo' actually translates to 'dry'. So this is a type of dried fish. It goes well with rice and even with champorado, a sweetened rice with cocoa.
Anyway, tuyo goes perfect as well with a dipping sauce of spicy vinegar or fish sauce with tomatoes.

Late post, most likely last post for the night.
Dinner tonight was a home made burger by yours truly. When making burgers, I always follow what the late great Anthony Bourdain said about burgers. It should be structured well, minimal condiments, minimal toppings, with a juicy patty, and can be eaten with just one hand.
So here is my version, slightly toasted sesame buns, two burger patties, one slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce, two slices of cheese, mustard, mayo, and with a dipping sauce of Worcestershire and hot sauce.

Another gem in Netflix.
It is an adrenaline-filled action movie with some comedy splashed in. The first 15 minutes is all action with car chases, gun fights, and a hero dying so soon.
Anyway, one can only imagine if there billionaires out there who would follow the path of One and create his own team of ghosts to go after and take down untouchable criminal elements around the world.

This is a great movie. Perhaps one of the best opening scenes in movie history.
Maybe I'm exaggerating but I can never get tired of watching the opening scene of 'Baby Driver'. Everything about it - the music, the car chase scene, the costume design - is perfect.
Not going to bore you with a review but let me just say that if you are looking for different kind of action film that involves cars and doesn't go overboard (I'm looking at you Fast and the Furious franchise), 'Baby Driver' is a great choice.

I understand the need to moderate the channels but I'd like to see some transparency when it comes to the basis of approving/disapproving posts. I know that there are times that moderators are busy and after 24 hours, if one's post isn't approved, you will be notified. If we can shortened the turnaround process for this and have a valid reason stated why the post was not approved, that will be much appreciated.
Anyway, quick light dinner for tonight. Sinipag ako gumawa ng corned beef patties. Corned beef, potatoes, and eggs. Actually, pang-breakfast ko ito tomorrow, niluto ko lang ngayong gabi par bukas either i-toaster ko na lang or i-microwave ko. Pwede i-ulam at pwede din with bread.

Just got back form doing errands.
Grocery. Laundry pick-up. Restocked my vitamins. Got some stuff from my condo as well to put here in my room.
Decided to take a photo of my OOTD. This has been my go to OOTD during this pandemic. Double mask, shirt, shorts, foot socks, and my trusty Ultraboost. Featured in the shirt is the popular Japanese woobdblock print of Katsushika Hokusai called 'The Great Wave Off Kanagawa'.
Just got out of the shower and I'm ready to interact with everyone else.

Share ko lang yun laugh trip na story tungkol sa friend ko na may pag ka-coño. Bale officemate ko sa dati kong work. Lumaki sa ibang bansa pero umuwi ng Pinas para magwork sa family business nila. Tinamad at naghanap ng ibang work at dun ko nga siya nakasama. She is an all-around good person, may pagkasablay lang talaga ang utak.🤣
Meron kamin tinatawag na breakfast club. Bago magstart ang shift, kain ng breakfast at kwentuhan. Si officemate one time naghanap ng isa daw favorite breakfast meal nya na dito lang nya sa Pinas natikman. Tinanong nya ako kung anong tawag dun at bibili sya. Ang description nya 'sweet dark rice'. Admittedly, I didn't know what she was talking about and then she mentioned it is the one that you eat with those small smelly salted fish.
Eureka moment!
Champorado pala ang sinasabi nya.
Wala lang. Share ko lang.
Kaya ngayon, pag tuwing kumakain ako ng champorado, naaalala ko yun officemate ko na yun.

Got three pizzas (pepperoni, manager's choice, and angus steakhouse pizza), mojos, with smoky barbeque and cheddar dips, plus fried chicken. I already transferred the food in containers so I can place the leftovers in the fridge.
Iba din talaga yun paminsan-minsan ay bumibili ka ng gusto mong kainin. You treat yourself for getting through another week. Actually, yun isang kasama ko sa business ang nag-order para sa amin at pinadeliver nya sa bahay. Para daw ito sa successful business presentation nun isang araw. Been awhile but watched a movie last night online.
Watched 'Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins'. It was a fun movie that showed the story of both Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. The story though has differences from the animated series and comics. It has good action scenes but nowhere near the big shoot-outs in previous G.I. Joe movies.
When I was younger I had an action figure of Snake Eyes and his wolf Timber. The Snake Eyes action figure had an Uzi, a backpack, and katana. The back pack had a slot wherein the katana can be slid through.
Back to the Snake Eyes movie, truth be told, I find the story of Storm Shadow more appealing. I can relate to it more.

Masyado maaga yun meeting ko with potential business partners. Buti na lang Zoom meeting lang. Ganun pa man, I have to go to the place of one of my local partners so we can set up in her place since she has a home office that has a more formal set-up. Plus her internet connection is stable and more dependable.
The meeting went well. It was better than expected. To celebrate, my business partner cooked a big breakfast for us. Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, toasted bread plus rice. Tas may coffee at orange juice pa. Nag-enjoy ako sa breakfast kaso kailangan bumalik sa bahay para naman sa shift ko na kaka-start lang ngayon ng 8:00am.

Maaga akong nag-dinner pero dahil nag-crave ako, nagpa-GrabFood ako ng siopao sa Kowloon. Buti may Kowloon sa katabing village. Favorite ko itong siopao na ito simula nun pagkabata. Madami akong masayang ala-ala pagnakain ako nito. Ito kasi ang gusto ko lagi ipabili pag may honor ako or may achievement sa school.

This was my snack earlier. It was given by my neighbor yesterday, suman. Wasn't able to eat it so I had it stored in our fridge. Kaninang hapon, naisipan ko kainin. I fried it in a little oil until it got toasted. Of course, kulang ang suman kung walang asukal. Buti an lang may muscovado sugar/

Dinner and late night snacks for tonight is Jollibee.
Ordered their Chicken Joy, cheese burger, and pies to go. Nakadalawang spicy chicken ako kanina at isang order ng rice. Tapos for dessert, yun ube cheese pie nila. Tas kanina mga 10:00pm,nagutom uli ako kaya kinain ko yun cheese burger at un buko pie. Sarap din.
Minsan kahit na madami ng nagsulputan na ibang fast food, foreign man o local, babalik-balikan mo pa din yun Jollibee eh.

Sunday is usually meant for rest and relaxation but needed to run some errands for the week ahead. Decided to rock my Punisher shirt when I went out to do my errands. If there is one Marvel character that deserves a movie reboot, Punisher is definitely high up in my list.
I know there were movies before and there is series but I would very much like to see Punisher in the big screen again.
Is some ways, I want to be Frank Castle and be a vigilante and punish people who deserve it.
