One of my favorite beer brands. Definitely got a bad rep because of the virus. At the onset of the pandemic, there was a liquor ban so wasn't able to drink this in a long while. So when the liquor ban was finally lifted, I decided to stock up on this. Imagine the look in the faces of the grocery clerks when I asked if they have 'Corona'. Their jaws literally dropped on the floor. #Beer

One of my favorites... the speed ball. Punching the speed ball helps in timing and eye-hand coordination. It is hard at first but certainly something that you'll get better at when you practice it. Cooked some spaghetti to be given out to some kids who are living in a nearby community of informal settlers. Made about thirty packs. The spaghetti isn't ground beef or pork. Instead it is tuna with finely diced vegetables like potatoes, carrots, and eggplants. Thirty wasn't much so the next time I do this again, I'm looking to make fifty to sixty packs. #Food

Mentioned earlier that I cooked some spaghetti and gave it away to kids in the nearby community of informal settlers. I also cooked a viand of beef with broccoli and potatoes and gave it to the street sweepers and vendors near my area. Managed to cook enough for ten tubs. They are not medical personnel but they work every single day and I consider them front liners. They contribute and do what they can to keep the economy and the society moving along during this pandemic.…

Been craving for pizza since last week. Told myself I'll get some over the long weekend. Slept in the afternoon on both Friday and Saturday and woke up almost 6:00pm on both days. The brand that I want takes at least an hour to deliver so I wasn't able to order. Didn't want to go out past curfew. Finally got some today. Creamy Spinach is always a favorite. One of the things that I was able to catch up on during the pandemic is my reading. Big fan of books... actual books not any of those online books or eBooks. One of the books I read is a different look on travelling. Very apt since we are all stuck at home. #Books

Among the local commercially brewed beers, this is my favorite. This is San Miguel's Cerveza Negra. It is a dark lager and has equal amounts of bitterness and sweetness in it. Words can't describe it so it is best that you try it yourself. #Beer

Trying some commercial beers from other countries. This is Kirin Ichiban and although it is originally from Japan, Anheuser-Busch purchased the company, Kirin Brewery, and took over brewing in 1996. Kirin Ichiban hasn't been brewed in Japan or anywhere near Japan since that time. The beer has a crisp flavor but one can taste the malt in it. #Beer

One of the best thirst-quenchers this summer and an all-around popular snack here in the Philippines... halo-halo! Halo means to mix. Halo-halo has shaved ice, milk, sugar, sweet bananas, sweet potatoes, sweet beans, jackfruit, jellies, tapioca pearls, sugar palm fruit, nata de coco, and a variety of toppings such as ice cream, leche plan, and ube halaya.

Missing the bar in Puerto Galera. The bar is owned by a previous boss of mine. Needless to say we got a big discount in what we ordered. Also worked part-time here when I had an extended stay in the island. The bar was stocked with different brands of beer that my previous boss had to import. Good times. #Beer

PM snack for today is the Korean Chicken Burger from McDonald's. No, this isn't an ad or a paid post. Taste was good. Visually, the black buns didn't work for me but it did serve as a good 'backdrop' to all the colors popping out. Would have ordered the Korean Beef Burger as well but wanted to try this one first. I'd order it again but I wouldn't miss it if Mickey Dees removes it from their menu.

Good morning. Having taho for breakfast. It is actually silken tofu with caramelized sugar and tapioca pearls. Of course, it is commonly known as 'taho'. Was ready for work early in the day but after logging in got a message from a colleague that today is a holiday in Australia so we do not have work today. Had to check it online myself. Taking up the challenge posted by @judithka80 . The challenge is to post an object with your name on it. Here is mine. It is a table marker that is also a table cloth napkin. This was given as a souvenir in a wedding that I got invited to. It was a relatively small wedding , around 60-75 guests and each guest got a personalized table cloth napkin. Really classy if you ask me.

This is my breakfast for today. A late one at that. It is boiled sweet potatoes. I like mine with some cheese spread, hot sauce, and brown sugar. It is an odd combination but it hits the right spots. Do you have any weird food combinations that you like? #Food

One of the things that I miss during this pandemic is putting on my hand wraps and training in boxing. Spent a good amount of my time in Elorde which I consider my home gym. I trained boxing, muay thai, and worked out there a lot. #Boxing

My go to beer when I drink in bars... Cerveza Negra. Cerveza Negra is brewed by San Miguel Brewery and it is a full-bodied dark lager with the right balance of bitterness and sweetness. The first time I tasted it, I fell in love! Paired with a very popular Filipino bar chow, sisig.
