Roger Ver "the Bitcoin Jesus" reported on his Twitter profile that the social media network of instant and real-time short messages platform, is blocking his tweets related with Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
Since the Hack of high profiles on Twitter on Wednesday 15, the security team of the social network media blocked messages containing string of numbers and letters affecting messages with Cryptocurrency wallets on them. And from Roger Ver report today on his account we could confirm that the measure still on and affecting tweets that involves also Bitcoin Cash (BCH) related matter.
The incident from July 15 didn't affected Roger Ver account on Twitter, but several other accounts of Worldwide well-known figures were attacked and used to spread fake giveaway scams with successful defrauded 12.86 BTC (~120,000), with took the social media network to block, as initial measure, all messages containing crypto wallets to prevent more harm on the platform blocking the hackers hability to promote their address to steal assets from people.
On Saturday 18, Twitter released a post-mortem update on their blog explaining the incident also the immediate measure they took to protect users well also the steps to take to ensure in future situations like that could be avoided. The team also assured that the investigation still running in collaboration with Law enforcement.
So, from the tweet of Roger Ver seems that Twitter staff still not allowing messages with Crypto wallet on them, and that could be a problem for people who actually live promoting actively Cryptocurrency related matter also to control suspicious and large transactions on crypto space such the whale-alert account which with the measure couldn't do their job properly.
Let's see what will be this week and if the Twitter team will unblock the feature to send messages containing string of letters and numbers.
