The figure I want to highlight today has been in the Bitcoin world for a long time, in fact, he has been in the crypto space since 2011 and has many stories of his journey to tell. He has already been denied access to bank loans, had problems sending money because he is a foreigner residing abroad and so many other incidents that upon finding, that is, discovering Bitcoin, he was sure that he had found the solution to solve most of the problems that he was having.

This was not automatic, no no, he first heard about Bitcoin and that it could allow people to send and receive money quickly and safely without intermediaries, he soon had a "scam" after all, it didn't make sense to him that there was this kind of digital money that allowed people to make transfers in that direction! Or would it be possible\(°o°)/? These doubts quickly dissipated as he learned more about the currency and read its whitepaper to realize that he was facing a major revolution in the decentralized financial market.

Today I'm going to talk about this irreverent and friendly figure in the Bitcoin Cash community who gave a few minutes of her time to answer some questions I asked via Telegram Chat, I'm talking about cheapLightning! I'm sure many know about CheapLightning but they will deepen their knowledge about this big name in the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem.

CheapLightning

As you can see, cheapLightning is a pseudonym of a big figure in the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem, he is a co-organizer of meetups in osaka-Japan and has been in the crypto world since 2011. Like many, cheapLightning entered the crypto world through the door of Bitcoin Core but, unlike many, he started his knowledge in the crypto ecosystem, also entering as a Bitcoin miner.

As I mentioned, he suffered several mishaps during his knowledge about Bitcoin, and before entering the ecosystem he saw a need to find a source that would allow him to circumvent the various inconveniences he had been having as a Foreigner, residing abroad and also a trader who, despite of having a positive Credit Score, the banks did not trust him enough, for example, to grant a loan.

He ended up living more than 2 years without a bank account, living only thanks to the generosity of the locals to have a way to live and feed himself, and when discovering he Bitcoin world was fascinated by the ease of the entire payment system that was behind the blockchain and had found a solution for sending and receiving money in a peer-to-peer manner. If it was easy! Of course not, but it opened up horizons for him to devote more of his time to investigating and following the BitcoinTalk forum closely to stay abreast of what was happening in the crypto world.

Gavin Andresen was the great catalyst in the times and his interviews helped cheapLightning and the tool he prepared (faucet) to promote Bitcoin helped to earn his first Bitcoins. His article "Now this is intheresting" is full of shenanigans and a whole story behind the foundations of what cheapLightning went through and today becoming a prominent figure in the Bitcoin Cash community. Like many, cheapLightning had its "shift" from the Bitcoin Core community largely because of the scalability discussions leading to the split in 2017. Since then it has been at its core in the world of peer-to-peer decentralized digital money that doesn't need government authorization to be issued or even used.

Participation in the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem,

CheapLightning has been in the Bitcoin Cash community since its split in 2017, he was one of the figures who participated, for example, in the first Bitcoin Cash conference that took place in Tokyo where he met several figures both for Bitcoin Cash and not so much, as well as a bunch of vultures who were there only for the purpose of gaining donors for their crypto projects that were in ICO phase and who thought he was a whale, as they heard that he was a Bitcoin miner since the year 2011 and were disappointed to realize that he had nothing to do with the beliefs they have established.

It was at the Bitcoin Cash conference where CheapLightning met Yumeno and together they agreed to conduct meetups in Osaka- Japan promoting Bitcoin Cash, they live in the same location and since then has been prominent as a co-organizer of meetings for the development, adoption and expansion of Bitcoin cash.

In addition, CheapLightning is also a part of the angels of Satoshi angels and has been dedicated to producing news and other media for the non-profit organization that works towards the expansion and appreciation of the crypto world and especially Bitcoin Cash.

It should be noted that cheapLightning is also a trader in Japan, which was able to encourage many colleagues in the same field to accept and repair Bitcoin Cash as a means of payment for the products and services they sell, as well as helping the currency to have a huge weight among Japanese and Osaka residents. He is the contributor, organizer and host of the Bitcoin Cash Network discussions that take place on YouTube.

After the side-chain was launched, cheapLightning became moderator of several Telegram groups (and also SmartBCH discord) focused on SmartBCH as well as many others that are aimed at the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem. He is the creator of the Moon Moon (MMMM) project, a meme token that I had the pleasure of writing about him and has a maximum supply of a thousand coins and has been on the market for several months.

CheapLightning in addition to the above mentioned projects and contributions, also operates the Build.cash website.

Summary,

@CheapLightning is a prominent figure in the Bitcoin Cash community and people need to know more about him, this space is a scenario where these names are obligatorily mentioned so that people know more about the history and achievements of the big figures in the Bitcoin Cash community. Passing articles of this magnitude allows people to realize that the Bitcoin Cash community is made up of people who believe in peer-to-peer electronic cash and do everything (voluntarily) to make the currency prevail in the crypto space and beyond, after all Bitcoin Cash also works in the real world for purchasing goods and services.

I particularly enjoyed writing about cheapLightning, many only know that cat picture on his profile but I saw much more than that in the few minutes we can exchange a few words via chat, he is a charismatic and influential figure in the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem, very and contributes greatly to the currency getting its well-deserved recognition in the crypto space, as can be seen in the role he has contributed to projects, as a moderator and merchant for Bitcoin Cash.

The Bitcoin Cash community is large and has people from all walks of life working towards the development of Bitcoin Cash, whether it's onboarding people and merchants, working for the coin's performance as I should or programmers, spreading the word about Bitcoin Cash and much more; but all with one unanimous goal, to make Bitcoin Cash the best and most accepted decentralized digital money in the world.

Don't forget to read the article written by CheapLightning about two years ago where he talks about the journey in the crypto ecosystem, an article containing an incredible story of a warrior walking the winding paths of Bitcoin.
