Lessons from the ant
Many ants make their homes in the hollows of trees or below ground in the root systems of plants. The entrances to their homes are narrow and surrounded by plant fibers, which protect the ants from larger predators. While small insects can crawl through the spaces between the fiber, larger creatures cannot. Auxiliary doors such as those in the photo are often used when the ant nest seems like it may be threatened by predators.
The ants are an example of a "social" insect, and as each has no single leader, no real way to make decisions and solve problems without the input from the rest of the colony. But ants do have a queen and she is responsible for producing offspring. She does not have to make all the decisions though, which is why it makes sense for her to be just one of many.
As we take life, we must understand that all our actions have consequences. Everything we do, every step of the way, we are preparing to live, and in those preparations, there is a learning. It is silly to think that you can do something today without having been taught something along the way. Everything we do today has a meaning and a lesson:
Sometimes, you make mistakes while learning. Sometimes you get a bit confused or things are not working exactly how you had thought they would. That is normal, because when we make our first small steps, we don't understand the world completely. We come from the woods of ignorance. It is always an adventure, and even if it is difficult at some point, it is never impossible.
A quote from the ants is taken from the fable of Aesop, meaning it is old, but also that ants are still great to teach us a lesson.
The ant makes sure to take along food in times of plenty because they know they need to be prepared for the rainy days. In good times, the ants will work together, gathering food and taking care of their family.
When it rains, the ants will make sure to bring out the food reserves and will go on a hunt for some more food. During the rainy season, the ants are unharmed.
We learned so much from the ants and wish there were some we could talk to about what is happening in the crypto world today. As we move forward into 2022 I wish you all good luck.
The most important thing is to continue walking because in life there is no such thing as failure. There may be obstacles and setbacks, but that does not mean it's over.
