I will love to share a little story about money ritual or what is recently termed “Yahoo in Nigeria”. This has cut deep into hearts of our youth that everyone want to be rich at all cost and live a luxury life. I concluded within my mind that those involving themselves in this act are lazy, heartless and foolish. Why do I say this?, they don’t live long and tend to leave behind a lot of sorrows and pain for their families and friends.

Ritualism don’t just shorten their own lifespan, it also makes use of other people’s children, parents and even friends. This present time there are lots of killing and kidnapping of human, mostly young girls who are covetous. They fall victim of this devilish act. The Devil doesn’t give anything for free, something has to be used as exchange, which is mostly blood. I have a lot of story about Friends and neighbors who dived into money Ritual to make money, Here is one of it...

There was this Christian lady back in the 90's, she did weave people’s hair with her hands, which we call adimole in Yoruba. She was so good that women from different streets in her area do patronize her a lot. She was very hardworking, adventurous, creative and popular. She takes care of her family with this Job as the bread winner of her family. This woman has only one child named Michael and her husband was jobless.

Mama Michael as people call her, takes care of everything in her home from feeding, clothes, house rent, school fees, and other domestic bills. On a very bad day Mama Michael slept in her room, slump from the bed and never woke up. Papa Michael wasn’t at home on this day. Micheal got back from school and found his mum dead. He ran out for help, the whole community and friends went AWOL, but find out she was gone even before help came in. With blood coming out of her nose and ear, everybody around were crying and kept asking God different questions without expecting any reply.

In order not to bore you, let me shorten the story. Within 2 months after the death of Mama Michael, things changed drastically for Papa Micheal. The same person who couldn’t afford to feed himself, or buy himself an underwear, turned into a multimillionaire overnight, he started importing cars and containers. He moved into his own castle and was now riding the best car in town.

People around were wondering how this happened and how it wasn’t when is wife was alive. Some were even asking this question “ Do Blood money exist ?.

 After 5years papa Micheal got sick and was swollen from his head to legs, he was in a lot of pain and agony, he confessed to have used his own wife for money ritual. His families tried to save him, they sold all he had just on treatment. Immediately everything was he had was gone, he gave up the ghost and died, leaving their son in abject poverty.

Money ritual is real, and dangerous. It doesn’t last for long and requires sacrificing something you love or doing some absurd things. Why do such when you can work add and love a happy life?.
