Always value yourself
Your deal might be the best deal in town, but then again it might not. People will tell you what they want, but they won't always tell you if they are in a position to buy today.
The creative process is partly science and partly an art form - knowing when to stop and asking the right questions. We often recommend people test their value proposition with three questions:
1) Is this good value?
2) Would you tell a friend about this offer?
3) Would you buy this at this price?
If the answer to all three is yes, you have a good starting point. If the answer is no to any of these questions it's time to consider changing your value proposition.
If you're struggling with the value proposition make sure you aren't over estimating the competition. The most common mistake we see is people believing that their competitors offer poor quality products or poor service. They don't - people like cheap for good reasons.
We all have our own values, we learn it from our first day to this moment. It is the most important thing we learn in early age. We are learning a lot of things at that time, but what matters most is learning to value yourself. When you grow-up, and start making your own decisions you will learn that it is not as easy as it seemed before, there are a lot of pitfalls and obstacles in your way and the only one who can support you is you.
Nobody can value you than yourself. When you start a business, the most important person to trust is you. If you don't trust yourself, no one is going to trust you.
Value is not the actual number. Value is the mindset and mentality. If you have a certain mindset and mentality of trust, value would be different from your competitors. You have to win in value, not in price. Low price is easy, quality isn't easy.
At the same time when you see a competitor always losing its value, it means quality is affected and most likely there is something wrong with their mindset and mentality.
It is difficult to evaluate your worth accurately. It's easy to say that you are a talented person, but somehow it is not enough to fully define your value. The only way to be sure that you are worth your salt is to put yourself in the market.
