There she was, youn and shy
And he who she loved, lived not far by,
She'd look at his window from hers and dream,
Love was what her heart would scream,
And of his he was not unknown
Fondness for her was in the heart of his own.
Glancing at the other they'd pass the day
All what the lips couldn't the eyes would say
Glimpses were exchanged but never a word
But their evolving affection was always heard.
They'd stare together at the moon at night
And from the window streak a flashlight.
Merry giggles which the other couldn't here
Although a little distance but just love and no fear.
Days grew by and so did the silent love,
And so did the smiles from the windows above,
She'd dream of he and he of her,
Pure and untainted in love they were
Everyday at the window, waiting for a smile
Would send their love to the end of the aisle.
Then one morning he shared out of the window with lost of cheer,
She woke up in an unlike room and window with him not here,
The truth hit hard and this time for real was her scream,
Two different cities, two scarred hearts and one broken dream.
