Amazon to create a TV Series about the FTX disaster
Hey Peeps!
The corporate giant, Amazon, has won the rights to produce a television series about Sam Bankman-Fried and the collapse of FTX.
The tv show will be based off an upcoming book by acclaimed author, Michael Lewis.
You are probably familiar with some of his previous work, such as Moneyball, The Big Short, and The Blind Side; all of which had been adapted into successful films.
It was originally reported, by a publication named Deadline, that Apple had landed the rights to product the show.
However, almost exactly 24 hours later Deadline reported that Amazon had beat out Apple for the deal.
There seems to always be some drama surrounding this FTX debacle, even between companies trying to pick at the scraps.
The production of this TV series is already churning as Amazon Studios has ordered an 8 episode miniseries.
The Russo brothers and David Weil have been tapped to write and direct the series.
Joe and David Russo are known for directing two highly-successful Marvel Avengers films; both of which are in the top 5 highest-grossing films of all time.
I cannot lie, I am immediately interested in seeing this story be told and how it will be characterized.
I am intrigued to see if Amazon will be as true and harsh as possible, or if they will be like the Mainstream Media and go soft on him.
What are your thoughts?
Will you be watching this TV series when it airs?
Do you anticipate it being good or bad?
See ya!
