I always love to introduce me as a traveler. In my regular life still now i love to do three things and these three things are travelling, books and music. I have published an article on my travelling earlier. Where i wrote about the Longest sea beach of the world and my journey there. Today i will discuss about another trip. So Let's start…

It was a three day journey. We went to Barishal, a southern Division of Bangladesh. We were a team of two young man. We decided to go by ship on river route. It was my first long journey on river stream. We started our journey at the evening od the day. Ship was ta 9 pm. But we had reached to the station at 7 pm. It is the biggest ship station of Bangladesh called Sadar Ghat.

Faluda

As we had reached there earlier and we had two hours in hand, we decided to go to eat something special. Suddenly my friend told me about this renowned faluda. The name of the shop was Beauty Lacci and Faluda. It is a very famous Faluda in Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh. After finishing the Faluda we go back to the station and at 9 pm the ship started the journey.

Sadar Ghat

Look at this picture. This is the picture of Sadar Ghat (ship station). There was so many ships standing on the brink of the river. The name of the river is Buriganga. Though the condition of the river is not good now. Once upon a time this river had a great importance on the trade of our country but now it has been reduced in a great portion. The water of the river polluted by the garbage of the industry. But it has still importance as a river stream.

Whole night the ship ran and in the early morning we reached our destination. It was a great feeling that we spent a night on the river. We reached Barisal at 5 am of morning. One friend came to receive us there. We went her house and take a rest.

Let me tell you guys a description about Barishal. Barishal is a southern Division of Bangladesh as i said before and there is 8 District in this Division. Barisal is a River based Division. There is so many river on that. You know what Bangladesh is a riverine country. And Barisal contains most of the river. The most famous river of Barishal is Kirtankhola. The people's of Barishal loves fish so much and Barishal is the Kingdom of Hilsha..

The first day we visit the city and a famous mosque of Barishal. The city of Barishal is a neat and clean city and the people of rhe city is very helpful as i noticed there.

Guthiya Mosque

After visiting the city we went to visit Guthiya Mosque. We went there after lunch. It was a very beautiful mosque and the beauty increases thousands times more when it becomes dark at the evening and all the lights turn on. We Reached there at 5 pm, 1.5 hour before the evening. So we need to wait for the evening because we didn’t want to miss the most beautiful moment.

Guthiya Mosque

When it becomes dark at the evening and lights turns on the mosque became really amazing. Just look at the picture. It became so colourful with lights. I just loved it. Having a beautiful time there we came back to the city.

Epiphany Church

Epiphany church

In the 2nd day we went to visit the Epiphany Church. According to Google, this is the largest church in South Asia. It was beautiful too. But we were disappointed after reaching there. The Guard told us that we are not permitted to go inside. We were really shocked after listening that. There was a boundary wall taller than me. But i managed to take some pictures there. And come to city.

Brajomohon College.

Brajomohon College.

It is a famous college of Barishal. It was established during the British period. The famous poet of Barishal is Jibanananda Das. He is my most favorite poet too. He also studied from this College. The College has maiden with red bricks and all the buildings are red coloured there. There is a british style on every building. We have explore the college and found a cafe named after my favorite poet Jibanananda Das. We had a snacks there.

A place of peace.

And while walking we saw a beautiful and calm place. We sat there for a while. I can still remember we have bought two Ice-cream there. After exploring the college we came back to the city and backpack for coming back to Dhaka.

It was an amazing tour for us. We have learned so many things about the city and city people. Also acknowledged about the culture of the city.

Travelling can teach you so many things. Firstly it will make you know about the place you are travelling. Secondly about the psychology of the people of the place. Thirdly the culture of the place. And for me the food culture is also important. Because i am a food lover too. One of the great philosopher said that you need to look on the food habit of people of you want to know about the civilised nature of the people of a region.

End of the day travelling is good for the mental health of people too.

Thanks for reading my article with patience.
