Competing and being jealous are two different things and opposites to each other. One is in the north and the other in the south. But the two often mingle so that the rivalry turns into hatred. The competitive person works with his mind while the envious works with his passion. Unfortunately, the mind is often controlled by lust which results in unhealthy competition, even leading to hostility.

Competition without malice is a necessity because the two are indeed different and, therefore, the two can be separated. Competing is someone's effort to be able to match or exceed the main qualities or objects owned by others without at all expecting the loss of these qualities or objects from the owner. On the other hand, envy is a feeling of displeasure with the virtues and successes of others accompanied by hopes and efforts to eliminate those virtues or successes from their owners.

Life is a series of competitions; competition for a bite of rice, competition for jobs and business opportunities, competition for education, competition for shelter, competition for awards, and so on. Even heaven is made into tiers so that humans compete to improve the quality and quantity of their deeds.

There are two kinds of competition, namely commendable competition and despicable competition. Competition is said to be commendable if it is aimed at achieving various successes and virtues, and reprehensible if it is aimed at bringing about harm or just to satisfy lust and low appetite.

In competition, no one loses, everyone wins. When we compete in the field of intelligence, we will all become smart. Competing in worship makes us all diligent in worship. Competing in lessons makes students study hard. Competing in the field of work makes a better work ethic. And when we compete for progress, we will all gain.

Competition prevents us from being complacent and lazy in doing good, but on the contrary, competition encourages us to move forward in fulfilling life's tasks, encouraging us to become better human beings in our deeds. Yes, we live in a natural world, the world needs to compete in doing good.

By competing, people will be motivated to arouse their will. The will is the power that exists in humans. A man without will is a man without power. A person with a large and stout stature will not be able to lift a match if he does not have the will to do so. Therefore, the will must always be aroused.

The will is a giant that exists within everyone. He will rise from sleep if someone is motivated to compete for progress. Gather with knowledgeable people, with worship experts, with successful people, and read biographies of successful people, then your will will rise; You will be motivated to think and work hard to be like them or even outperform them. And rest assured that you too can be like them.

Faith strengthens hope, hope strengthens will. Thus, the stronger the belief, the stronger the hope and will. The essence of life is faith and hope. When we hope that our lives will be better and we believe in the power of Allah, then it is very likely that we will become better, not the other way around.

Everything we believe and hope for will be recorded and impressed in our subconscious mind to later manifest in life. Therefore, if we want to achieve the main qualities like other people have, keep our minds busy with good wishes and don't mix them with malice, then our subconscious mind will lead us to achieve them.

Catching up with others is actually relatively easy, but it becomes difficult when malice intervenes. Because jealousy often turns people away from chasing after being left behind, to trying to eliminate the main qualities and successes that other people have that make them even further behind. Learning not to feel envious and envious, that's what many people find difficult to do.

Jealousy is actually hidden admiration. When a person envy another person because of his main qualities and success, he actually secretly admires him. The subconscious mind will only make a stronger impression between the two. If a person's envy towards another is stronger than the desire to match him, then his subconscious mind will lead him to hate that person; while virtue and success will drift away from him.

Therefore, when he hopes to have the main qualities and success as other people have, he should not think about how to eliminate them from that person, for malice will be the biggest specific obstacle for him.

Jealousy becomes a barrier to one's progress because the envy spends more of his time contradicting his desires and thoughts. He wanted progress, but at the same time he hated it. Jealousy uses his thoughts negatively about other people that makes him forget that his desire for progress can only be realized when there is harmony between what he wants and what he thinks. If he wants progress, he shouldn't be worried when others get it.

Congratulate him sincerely; however, this does not happen because the envious mind has been overcome by lust. One of the most difficult things for an envious person to do is openly acknowledge the superiority of another.

Furthermore, the envy is also busy contradicting prayer and Allah's will. He prays for the ultimate quality, but on another breath he curses silently or aloud the success that God has given to others. He cursed what he wanted in his prayer which hindered his prayer. How can Allah give him paradise when he himself expects others to go to hell. Only the envious never achieve victory in the competition.
