Capabilites Fear
For a long time, I felt like a prisoner. Today is one of those days. I'll let the voice I have in mind explain further.
Hi, I am the little voice in your mind, telling you that someone is watching you while you sleep. When you were a kid, I told you there was something big and scary living under your bed or in your closet. Yup, I'm the same voice that tells you not to look in the mirror in the middle of the night, and to 'go' to the bathroom when you're hungry, so you don't catch a urinary tract infection.
Sometimes I warn you about logical things, like being extra careful when driving in stormy weather, being on the lookout and keeping an eye on your surroundings when you're out late at night, or taking extra time to wash your hands carefully so painless.
It's like telling you to prepare for a crash every time you hear an airplane overhead. Or maybe there's a bomb in the subway and you better tell your friends and family that you love them when you get the chance.
A mentally ill gunman will walk into your workplace and start shooting randomly, so you'd better plan a good hiding spot before it's too late. The winds are getting stronger, are you ready for the storm?
However, I put your mind to the most complex to the simplest of concerns - and they all work beautifully together! Your heart beats faster, you start to get restless, you have trouble breathing - like paralyzed. You are paralyzed by your fear of your own imagination.
How can you be confident?
How can you believe those voices in your head?
You really think that you are worthy of trust?
You have no control over what I say to you, and obviously can't get in my way either.
So, what will help you?
Have you ever struggled with scary thoughts that filled your mind?
Talking about it with someone really helped me, and it can help you too.
