Achieving something in life can make your life more enjoyable. Thinking about a goal and see yourself in progress on that goal is very satisfying feeling. But there's a biggest hindrance for people who wants to achieve thier goals in life. It is a silent killer that makes you quit even if you are not started yet. And that silent killer is what we called a " comfort zone " . Did you get what I mean? Choosing to stay on our comfort zone hinder us from achieving our goals that we want for our self.
If we want to grow and achieved something , you need to move out of your comfort zone. Once you choose to move out of your comfort zone you will see how your life change and have the courage to leave that zone for the good.
Before I proceed to the changes when you choose to move out of your comfort zone , I will first define what comfort zone is. Comfort zone is a behavioral state which a person operates in an anxiety condition, using a limited set of behavior to deliver a steady level of performance. To make it more basic , from the word comfort , it is the place your are comfortable at and because your comfortable to that you don't want to try new things because you have a lot of what ifs and fears and after those thinking you end up staying again in your comfort zone.
Life is a continuous challenge for yourself and also to improve yourself and for you to able to do that you must need to move out on your comfort zone or the hindrance on your improvement. Once you learn to move out of your comfort zone , you will feel a change in your life. To be honest , I am still on my comfort zone in some ways but I am trying to move out in other aspects of my life and this is what I've learn from those.
1. It's okay to feel scared.
It is not easy to move out of your comfort zone. I know that and I experienced that. You have a lot of questions and fear to try new things but I want you to know that it's okay. That's part of the process and it's normal.
What's important is you choose to move out and don't let your fear stop you from that. Face your fear!
"I feel scared when I got hired on my last company. TBH I want to quit because I don't know if I can able to do the work as an auditor.
2. It's okay if you will fail.
Moving out of the comfort zone means walking on the path that you are not familiar of. You will going to try new things that you didnt try before and you will learned new things that you never learned before. This is a step by step process, you can learn and familiarize with everything in a short period of time and sometimes you will experience failure but don't worry if you failed because the next thing to failure is to Learn.
"I fail so many times because I am not familiar with the nature of work as an Auditor but thankfully our team leader has a lot of patience to teach me step by step.
3. You can learn.
We can learn through our failures. The more we fail , the more we learn. You will learn a new knowledge and you will began to apply it in your life and it will lead to success.
"I learned new things because on my failure and got familiarize with my job and said to myself that finally I can.
4. Seeing youself in a different way.
Once you choose to move out on your comfort zone , you will say to yourself that you are capable of doing things that you didn't thought that you can. You will gain more confidence and that confidence will lead you to try more things and improve yourself and eventually you will see yourself as a different person you used to know.
"Now , I am confident doing my job and also teaching new employee when they are asking for help.
4. People around you will also see you in a different way.
People judge other people. That's the reality. And seeing you from your comfort zone makes them think that you are not capable but once you move out of your comfort zone you will prove to people that their thinking about you was wrong because you are more than capable and when people see that , more opportunities will come to you.
"Our team leader let me do different task on our team that makes me happy because she trusted me to do that.
6. Expand of your comfort zone.
Comfort zone is flexible. When you try new things outside your comfort zone and then you master that or got familiarize to that , it becomes a part of you comfort zone also. It is also means that you can increase and improve on behaviors that you are comfortable with and the more skills you have , the more it easy for you to achieve something.

7. Increasing of focus
When you are staying in your comfort zone , you are too comfort and focusing is not used more often because you are comfortable and familiarize on your pace but once you move out on your comfort zone, you are force to be focus on that new pace because you are not familiar with it.
"Learning something that is not familiar to you requires focus and deep understanding. If you choose to learn something new.
8. Developing new skills.
One of many reason why you should move out of your comfort zone is that stepping away from a limited set of behaviors. Developing new expertise and skills will only be possible when you are not in your comfort zone. In your comfort zone you have a limited skill and those limited skills will not help you form being successful but when you are out of the comfort zone , there's not limit on how much you can achieved.
"I must say that I learned a lot on my company, not just only in computer related job but also with being a team player.
9. More achievements.
This is the end point of our article. Why we want to move out of our comfort zone? Because we wants to achieved something.
"From an Auditor, I got promoted as Shift in Charge but now I am resigned . Maybe if I continue my job I am team leader now . It's a little achievement unlike other but if you will look at it you will understand what I mean ♥️
