Abuse simply means to mistreat or maltreat ,it could be a person , an animal or an object.
Abuse in any form is bad and it may have a long or short term effect on the person who is being abused.
EFFECTS OF ABUSE

*Trauma
*Depression
*Bad injuries
However abuse doesn't just take one form ,as there are various types of abuse ,to mention a few we have:
TYPES OF ABUSE
1. PHYSICAL ABUSE:
This type of abuse is more rampant in the world as people gets physically abuse when they are being subjected to violence like beating etc, which could leave injuries on the body.
Most physically abused victims are weak and can't fight back their abusers
Note: Both adult as well as children go through this type of abuse and feel threatened that they can't tell or call for help even at the verge of losing their own life.
2. EMOTIONAL ABUSE:
This type of abuse is manipulative in nature and when victims undergo it they sometimes have no idea they are being emotional or phycologically abused.
This abuser prey on ones emotions and gradually takes over the person's life .
They use abusive words to make the person feel worthless and bad about themselves thereby having the upper hand by killing the self esteem of such victim.
This kind of abuse is dominant in marriages and relationship.
3. SEXUAL ABUSE:
Any form of sexual activity without the consent of the other party is rape and as a result abusive . This kind of abuse is also rampant and is also experienced by children.
This causes traumatic experience for the child or adult which could affect there sexual performance in the future . For some they totally abhor sex as it brings bad and depressing memories to them and this could lead to problems in there relationship or marriage and even when they go through therapy it take time for them to heal while some never heals but become damaged for life.
Boys also get raped either during there adult or tender age but in this part of Africa when a man gets raped it is addressed with no seriousness cause it is believed that the man was pleasured even when he had purely no consent to such sexual activity, this act is bad cause it make boys and men who is being abused not to speak up but endure because the society might not take a man complaint of sexual abuse seriously as it will take a lady's complaint.
In conclusion, anyone you know who is going through any form of abuse ,try your best to help such person or report to the necessary authorities . This is because abused people abuse others, and damaged people damage others.
