5 Stress-relieving things you can do at home

Stress is a common thing that people usually feel. After a long day working for your boss, maintaining your high scores, keeping your job, spending your time doing tasks, and the like can trigger stress. In addition to that, having heavy traffic on your way home, hear hurtful gossips from your office mate, getting scolded by your boss, and the like. Stress is the worst feeling we humans could ever feel. Now, let's forget about stress, and let's know the ways on how to find relief while at home.

1. 30 minutes of coffee time with your family

For a coffee lover like me, coffee has its aromatic scent that could relieve stress. It can keep you mentally awake and energetic. So, during your day off, instead of you locking your doors and sleeping all day, why not have coffee time with your family and talk about life. It can be a way for you to express how stress you are at work. It can be a way to burst out your feelings because you know someone is listening to you. Look, it can also be a way to get closer to your family. You can build a connection with them and the next time you feel stress again, they would know and invite you to have coffee time again.

2. Spend time playing with your children

If you are a family man, playing together with your children on the lawn or in the backyard can be a relief of stress. Your children's laughter is the most precious thing to witness. Take time to look at them and see how they have changed and grow so that you will not be surprised one day. Since you are very busy at work, sometimes you tend to forget about watching over your child. Thus, whenever you feel stressed, spend time with them, play with them! Instead of you venting your exhaustion over to them.

For those people who don't have children yet, play with your siblings, just like in the old days. Where you are just free. No doubt, no pain, no problem, no burdens. Stress-free!

3. Go to the kitchen and cook!

For those who are stress eaters just like me, cooking could be your option. Whenever you feel stressed, browse through the web, and look for a new recipe you can make. Cooking can help you forget about your problems because your attention will be focused on measuring the ingredients. Once done, you'll have your delicious meal! I would suggest you cook something that is sweet. Chocolate perhaps! Eating something sweet can actually change your mood. It can actually make a heart happy!

4. Watch your favorite anime series

I just so love watching anime. If you are not an anime fanatic, then watch your favorite movie series. Watching movies, sitting on the couch while eating feels like heaven. After a long stressed day, have your self a break. Do your me-time. Just you, alone. For me, I really need something like this. Where I can freely roll over my bed the whole day or even just after work.

5. Pray

Prayers are the best sword to all of your pain, anger, worry, sorrow, and the like. Whenever we are stressed, we tend to overthink. That's why we feel sadness in our hearts. I believe that prayers can lift your heavy broken heart. Because God is always listening to us. You may feel suffering, but that is included in God's plan. Thus, pray, talk to Him and he'll listen.
