Recently, I've come to believe Airdrop is another way of scamming people and gathering people's information, including their wallet addresses.

Airdrop has been a way people Crypto projects builds community around their project and I must confess I've been a beneficiary of this Crypto concept but scammers have exploited airdrop at compiling addresses and information of Crypto enthusiast.

The growth of Decentralized Exchanges also emboldened these scammers to lure people with Airdrops for an eventual rug pull. So recently, most Airdrops out there are scams and hardly gives out any coin.

What's the solution to this debacle? Should we stop Airdrop completely or find a way to sanitize airdrop processes same way Cryptocurrency community regulated ICO by replacing it with Initial Exchange Offering (IEO)?
