Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup potatoes, diced
1 cup carrots, sliced
1 cup celery, diced
2 16oz can diced tomatoes in juice (or substitute 2 small cans of tomato sauce)
4 cup water
1/4 tsp dried basil, crushed
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tablespoon beef bouillon
1 16oz can corn
1 16oz can green beans
1 16oz can green peas
Preperation
In a large soup pot, brown ground beef and onion, drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT for last 3 items (canned vegetables). Simmer on low heat until vegetables are tender, about an hour. Add canned vegetables and simmer 5 minutes. Remove bay leaf and serve.
