Rise towards the Challenge of a New Beginning
June 12 1898, was the first proclamation of the Philippine Independence Day. Tomorrow we will be celebrating the 124th Anniversary of our freedom from the rule of Spaniards a long time ago.I always remember this day, since we will bring a stick and a bond paper every year from grade school to high school, to make a flag.
Last Monday, my daughter told me that they have draw a National flag on a bond paper and put it in their respective rooms as a part of the commemoration .This is usually what we do every year during this day. There are also parades while we raise our flag, it maybe sound so silence as we remember those days, but the cry out for freedom from the past years was worth to celebrate that it was heard. There'sno enough words an describe how glad we are to be free.
With regards to my topic, "Rise towards the Challenge of a New Beginning", it's the theme for this year's commemoration. In my own view point on why did they choose this theme is that we are now on a "New Beginning", in different aspects way back when the whole world and our country have faced the trials from the past years.
New Beginning for a New President
This is a very timely topic because we just elected our new President of the Republic of the Philippines, Mr. Bongbong Marcos.Majority of Filipinos have believe in this man by voting him, so as a countryman, I am hopeful that he will do his responsibilities wholeheartedly for the nation, which I think he will.
Let's just throw out all the hates from the past election and moved on to a new chapter of our nation.
New price hike increased or decreased
As of now, we are in a tough times due to the price increase of all essentials like gasoline and rice which are basic of every Filipino household. I'm looking forward for at least a changes which is to decreased the prices, hoping that they can make some ways to help the majority of people to make the living and not just relying on cash subsidy but to gain their own source of income.
New Challenges to face on
We don't have a clue what the future may bring for the next 6 years, just like the pandemic that surprise us all. This new administration of government will face new challenges in leading the nation from the problem of economy, health and security.
As a part of the nation, we should take part of our responsibilities as we live in this nation, by supporting our government programs and obeying the laws for the sake of a peaceful action.
Rise or Go up
This is a good encouragement to all of us my countrymen that we have to rise from a lower position to a higher level, which means there is a positive vision to recover from the joblessness and lower economy.Though its just a word, and need to put into action to really take effect in each of us.
Rise in terms of our Education, Technology, jobs, and more opportunities for every graduates this year. That's what I'm hoping to happen in the coming months or year.
Fears and Doubts
Without a doubts some people have felt the fear of the new administration because of the past history of the president's father when it's ruling the country. Hesitations and being uncertain may come up but still, we need to rise as one, as one nation. Let's hope and pray for unity and good governance.
Take risks
We're like taking risks as we choose this new elected officials of the government. But, as we all know we don't have a choice but to decide through voting. It is one way of exercising our freedom as a Filipino. We will not improved or learned, progress and become stronger if we don't have any challenges to face. We are all risk takers in our daily life.
Final Thoughts
Advance Happy Independence to all my countryman! I've written this early, because tomorrow is Sunday, I might not be able to write this one.
Filipinos are so grateful with the freedom that we have right now, we should take charge to support our nation and took care of this freedom that we have and not to abuse it. And because we are being set free, we should also respect and relate to everyone by not putting them into the chain of bondage and oppression through abusing rights to live.
Our freedom was priceless and it cannot compare to any amount when we don't have it.
Good day Patriots!
I love my country Philippines!
