History of Violence, my self-understanding

Have you ever watched this movie, "History of Violence", it was out way back in 2005,yes, it's a throwback film but I just watched it lately the full episode. It touched my heart because the story is very complex, it's all about family, and of course violence.

The character was named "Joey", he had a new life with his family, his wife is not aware of his past, or what kind of man is he before, because she loved him so much.They have two children a young boy and a baby girl.

One day, in the cafe that he owned, when they are about to close it, two men came and harass them by forcing them to serve them even if they were already closed, they were armed with guns and try to shoot Joey but in the end, the two men were killed by the actor. The people were amazed at what they see, and praise him that he becomes instantly like a hero for everyone. Somehow, it's they think why did he use to kill them easily and he is good with guns.

One day, the grudge of the past have come into their house, with three men riding in a car with Joey's son, and then the killings happened, he killed the two of them and the other one was killed by his son when he is about to die from the one-eyed enemy.He is a part of a group of people who did bad things and his companion want a to take revenge on him.From then on, their life as a family have changed a lot, he leaves his home to find peace and settle his past, and he finished them all, he cries a lot after he did kill the people in his past and then one day, he returned home while her wife is praying, and they open their eyes, they see Joey come home.

Sorry if I can't upload any photos from the movie but this is just a summary of that film. Though it was an old movie the message is relevant for me. To deliver a message of acceptance, forgiveness, and aspiring to live a peaceful life despite of his dark history in life.

Past Nightmare

Sometimes the grudges of the past life will soon come back if we keep on hiding them. Even if how small it is, for as long as it can cause trouble with us, it will keep on bothering our life.

Our life will form history and can be inherited by the next generation, like what happened to Joey's children, they suffer due to their father's past life.

But what encourages me, is that they are family-oriented people, especially his wife who understand him and took care of their children properly with the right guidance and always shows them to pray.As much as possible she wants her children to avoid violence.

• My Self-realizations

I've learned that if our family members can commit mistakes we should not mock them or persecute them to the point of rejection. The more we give pressure on these people the more they become worse and worse. But I have learned that with constant love and support with positive reinforcement, at the right time they can finally achieve changes.

If a person wants to live a new life, it's better to give them a chance for they also deserve it. As long as we live, there was always a time of transformations I believe that. I was once witnessed how did a life of a person who is rejected by the community but at the right time found a new life and live with peace.

How we live today will affect our family, kids, and the community. We must be careful with our way of life and consider not only ourselves but also the coming generations that will follow in our footsteps.

Have you heard the saying," a good tree bears good fruit, a bad tree bears but fruit", but in my observations, it's not true every time. There are a lot of parents also who are a good influence but their children are turning into a bad life.Lets me say,it's a matter of choice also, once we choose go against the right things we no longer live in peace.

The family has always bear history, whether it's about survival, life battles and struggles, success, and victorious moments. But I can consider the fact that how I live today will affect my future.

• Illnesses

A lot of things are hereditary, like illnesses like diabetes, possible if the parents have this illness, the children may suffer too.

Attitudes

Our character, behavior, and attitudes are also followed by our next generations, what they learn from us each day, will be applied in their life also.

• Family cultures

Whether it is related to religion, traditions, rituals, the family's basic practices can be inherited also.

In my opinion, our life history in the past should be remain buried with those that hits us but what if it's unavoidable, we should keep ourselves ready from f I just hope for God's mercy to guide us daily so that we can live our life which can convey a positive family history.
