Beware who's knocking the door

First of all, a good day to all of you,its our second day of attending the VBS, and as usual the kids are very excited, that they can meet new friends and enjoy as well.

I am happy while watching them playing now, and it seems that I'm a kid again.

This are my green shots this morning that I want to share you first before I jump I to my main topic. Okay, enough for pasakalye,I intended to share good vibes first before the negative one to keep it balance.😅

Now, to my topic.

"We literally close our doors at home at night, and yes we should to secure our family if there are some invaders who will destroy our privacy and life." 

Last Sunday, when we go home to our parent's house, my mother have asked me if we heard the news about" Tuk-tok", These are the people who knocks the door of a certain house and they will robbed, or else they do a physical harassment.This was already in the news on the radio in our locality, but there is no one who get caught, or proven that it was really true, which I hope it's not really existing. 

A lot of women here are so afraid, for their young lady and girls at home. There was one time in our barangay that one of our neighbor have opened their door for a man who's knocking the door, and they find out that the man was wearing a helmet,and it seems that his uneasy and wet in the rain. That was the time that the barangay tanod was alarmed every night and they are vigilant to watch over the place. 

There are a lot more stories that I heard today, when one of my friends told me that there is a pregnant woman that is being harassed in their own home, which seems to me to be very scary news that causes panic with some residents. 

So, this makes me think that it's too dangerous to visit someone's house without I forming first the owner or else you'll be a suspect of the case, or get shot,. Might as well, inform the homeowner before visiting them. 

What do we plan because of this situation? 

Double lock the doors and windows

We have two doors, one in the main door and the kitchen. It already had a lock in the door knob, but because of this situation, we have planned to put a double lock in the door, so that it cannot be opened easily if anybody wants to. 

Check any entry points in the house 

The carpenters have already fixed the destroyed parts of our house many weeks ago, but I think we need to check some entry points of the house that a man can get in. It's better to always be prepared than doing it too late. 

We have planned to have a dog

Dogs are vigilant when there's somebody who's coming just like my parents dog, a "Aspin '', or asong Pinoy, it's a brave one, and friendly to us too, especially with our kids. I have planned to ask my aunt with one of her dogs to our new home, so that there is somebody who will help us guard our home. Way back 2017,we did have 7 dogs, and they all died when we transferred to a new home.And now, we're planning to have new sets of dogs because here in our place, our neighbors are living a distance from us,we never see each other. 

Don't stay late at night outside 

I told my kids that when it's already 6 pm they should stay inside the house and help me fix the house, like in terms of food, dishes and laundry. 

They must also be aware to always be safe, because they are too young.

Maybe I was just too worried but for me it's natural to feel this way, since I have already experienced being harassed when I was in my teenage days, when my parents have left me alone in our house one night. For me, it's not advisable to left a young lady at home alone because, as time goes on there are:

People who did bad things

There are wicked people, whether we like it or not, they really exist. They can do things that we can't imagine in our own brain, it's like a great evil surprise that may come to us at any moment. It's out of our control so we should always be vigilant about it. 

Most of all, let's not also be overwhelmed with fear but we need to be strong and be wise like a serpent. 

Above all, always pray and keep trusting for the greatest protection with God.

I am not writing this to cause you fear but to give us warning to always be aware all the time, especially for ladies, and women. 

The recent happenings in our place lately, and the mystery of the "tuk - tok", was not yet solved by the authorities, that is why it pays to be vigilant all the time,and help the local officials by doing our part in our own home.
