What Are You Preserving?

There's always something about us individually that makes us stand out, There are a certain images or personalities we look to preserve, we want people to see us that way, infact we spend so much time trying to preserve it. For example an athlete may be looking to preserve is image as a good sportsman, now everything he does must align with the main aim and objectives of being a good sportsman. No wonder there are certain things they love doing initially but they had to cut off from it totally, not cause they got tired, no rather because they have something more valuable to protect.

Life itself is full of different sides to oneself, everyday we explore, different opportunities, trying new things every now and then, its really isn't easy finding oneself, however when we do, when we have made up our mind on where and what to focus, we begin to conform our life and culture to supporting that dream. Funny how most of the great personalities we have today were formally having the most unadmirable personalities, but as soon as they discovered and accepted what they really aim for, especially when the mind is fixed, it becomes easier to preserve. Indeed its safest to know yourself earlier so we can preserve earlier too.

Simply because we don't know what tomorrow holds or what we may become tomorrow, it's better we play safe from the onset. Playing safe from the onset entails keeping a good attitude, well behaved in and out, so when we finally get our footings it'll be easier to link the past and the present together. It would be easier for a respectable citizen of a state to be voted for as the mayor compared to that thug who has once terrorized the town. In another way it'll be easier for that bad guy to become an pop star compared to that good guy who's so quiet, you see each road has its linkings.

Its more like a planned lifestyle, only that we don't know from the beginning, infact we were not informed we have something more valuable as a personality to preserve, by which everyone around us would know us for, all what we were taught was to be good, hardworking, good Reading habits, respectful, lovable and those general good traits a kid should have, true it helped, much more if we knew it would be a life time something, not something we can end once we live our parents house. A lot of us already have attitude and characters we can't change, we've gotten so used to it already.

Fast forward to the future, the work doesn't get easier, infact it gets harder, now the world knows and identifies you with a particular traits or personality exhibition, and you've got to preserve it, like it or not, be you very popular or just an insider, there are at least a person who looks up to you. Even if it happens to be one person only, it still is enough reason to be up and doing, cause from a person begat a generation, and from a generation begat more generations which in turn would spread all around the world. So we are all opportune to teach, let's teach right.

Indeed preserving a prestige or identity is never easy, especially when there are other lives paying attention to you, we've got to ensure that we do a good job, at least to make the world a better place. In the world today we clearly can see how celebrities are idolized, people don't mind going the extra miles to see those humans they idolize, all to scream and faint, for some others they have built an habit of following the footsteps of the celebrities, so that celebrity whom luckily is aware he now has fans, must learn how to be good at what he does and portray good examples, even if they may be faking it. More reason why its good to build it early so it comes real and part of you.

Preservation is for everyone to do though as individuals. Maybe when we begin to realize we are more important than we assume, then we can take up the need to preserve our nature aright. What happens then when people care less about their life and what they exhibit to the world at large? It leads to increase crime rate, increase immortality, possibly increase case of death. Cause the thieves stealing, the killers and rapist don't think much about preserving their name and image, so they keep influencing other both knowingly and unknowingly, and this is not good for the society at large.

I put it to us that we are more important than we think or know, its paramount we look to preserve each other, We can only help the world by keeping our own end of the bargain, make the world a better place by keeping a good personality and preserving it. It's also worthy to know and note that people can change, oh yea change is constant, so that personality you are looking to transform is very possible, may not be easy, but it's very possible. So let's see to be good and uphold uprightness and godly characters, cause we are more important than we think or know.
