Island Travels Good day noisemates. I want to share with you one of the highlights of my visit to Coron, Palawan sometime in 2019, just before the pandemic period. I'm glad my sisters and I decided to take that vacation and bonding with our eldest sister who seldom comes home. Since we opted to stay at an island resort, we need to ride a boat every time we want to go to the town and back. The boat in the photo is our ride going back to the island resort after our day tour. This is the passage to the resort. One time after our tour, visit to different islands, before reaching our docking area, a strong wind and heavy rain suddenly poured and everyone of us got wet inside the boat. Good we brought with us a Dry Bag Ocean Pack waterproof bag to keep our valuable things safe. The boat was able to dock safely, but it was docked near another boat, so our guide had to ask everyone if we are willing to go down passing through 2 boats. I'm glad that we were able to safely go down. My younger sister got outbalanced along the way and was able to hold on and she was helped by some boat men. Good she was safe too. We had to stay for about an hour to wait for the rain and winds to slow down. We were advised that because of the winds, the boat from our resort can't leave to get us. We found a nipa hut facing the shores and we stayed there. My 2 other sisters went to the nearby market to get some food to eat for dinner. After our dinner, our resort boat came to pick us up. That was quite an experience, especially that sudden burst of rain and wind. We learned later that it usually happened in Coron so next time we go there we should be ready and always bring our dry bag along to keep valuables from being wet. My own content and my own photo .
