Vaccine News!
Weeks after the initial application to the FDA, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is set to be approved on Thursday, December 10. If approved, the vaccine will be able to be administered on the 11th, hopefully marking the beginning of the end of the COVID crisis. However, despite this good news, many criticized the FDA's slow response time. The UK's equivalent to the FDA had already approved the same vaccine last Wednesday (December 2) and both Russia and China have already made huge leaps in the delivery of vaccines. China, for example, has already administered about 1 million vaccines. Of course, it is very important that the FDA gets this right so that it would be safe for the 100s of millions of people expected to receive the shot. Speaking of which, as expected, frontline healthcare workers and their families will be given the highest priority as far as getting vaccinated goes. The everyday person won't get access to it until about April or so.
Last week, the markets reacted well to the positive news of the vaccine in UK so there is the hope that that bull run will continue this week. Air BnB's IPO will hit markets this Thursday so keep your eyes peels for ABNB. It's predicted to trade between 56 and 60 dollars.
