Fruška Gora, one of the few mountains in the plain of Vojvodina, hides many beautiful corners, and one of them is the Ledinacko Lake. The lake was created during the bombing of Serbia by NATO in year1999. During this beastly rampage (there is no other way to call it), the NATO pact did not choose targets. Many civilian objects were destroyed and number of civilian victims were three times larger than number of military casualties. Among other things, NATO dropped bombs on a quarry on Fruška Gora near the village of Stari Ledinci. The bombing damaged the pumps that pumped water from the quarry which eventually led to the creation of the lake. The lake was a dispute for several times between nature lovers and the owner of the quarry. According to the latest information, nature lovers have won for now. It is planned that the lake will be the center of the new nature park, in which there will be a picnic area, beach, sports fields for basketball and football, cycling and sports climbing. Currently, access to the lake is prohibited. #photography #nature #travel #Serbia #Srbija #Vojvodina

nice. even with that bad event still creates a wonderful thing
Hello my wonderful brother, after all this beauty I will travel to Serbia one day and enjoy this beauty
The pictures are really nice. I am in North America and I wish NATO was disbanded. Today it serves exclusively as a forced weapons buying program... For instance in Canada, we are forced to spend 1.5% or 2% of our GDP (not of our tax revenue...) on weapons. Thanks for telling the truth as to what happened. I wish we had peace in this world and more nature lovers.
