January 1st Hike and some new photo opportunities ;) Today is a very beautiful day. I decided to take a walk along the bank of the Danube next to the protected natural habitat of endangered birds and try my New Year's gift - the Dji drone for which I saved a good part of the year. The weather was not ideal, the wind was quite strong, so I took off with the first signs of sunset and tried out how the drone behaves in the air. I have a lot to learn, and I am very eager to…

Sunset Although my intention was primarily to take a walk, fortunately I took my faithful camera with me. Fortunately, because the sunset decided to be unforgettable ;) (Sony A6000 @ Sony 18-135mm, f/5.6, 1/125 sec, ISO-100)

Sunset Panorama The previous photo of this scene that you can see here https://noise.cash/post/n9q2qkzb0nq6w was taken with a professional crop 24mpix camera with good lens. This photo was taken from almost the same location at the same time with the help of a drone and its much more modest camera. However, the drone offers the ability to create panoramic photos that you can assemble into a panorama yourself. However, as usual, I used Lightroom to combine several photos into…

About Me :) I guess it would be polite to say a few things about myself. My name is Dejan and I come from Serbia. As a young man, I was a semi-professional cyclist. That love has remained to this day. Today I am almost exclusively involved in mountain biking. I climbed many (surprisingly tall and surprisingly muddy) mountains on a mountain bike. I also have been hiking for decades. I still do mountaineering whenever my time and obligations allow. Over the years, I have…

Another ultrawide panorama I re-exported the photos and found that I have an even wider panorama of location from the same scene from my previous two posts: https://noise.cash/post/85rkzkgb0xp59 https://noise.cash/post/n9q2qkzb0nq6w This one was made a few minutes later with a slightly changed place, hence the considerable difference in color. #photography #travel #nature #sunset #panorama #serbia #srbija

Vršac Castle, Serbia On the highest, and almost the only hill in the whole of Vojvodina, the lowland province of Serbia, rises the beautiful Vršac Castle. Of the former castle, only the donjon tower remains. It now represents a silent guard over Vršac, one of the most beautiful cities in Vojvodina. Vršac Hill, The Turban Lookout The Turban lookout on the Vršac hill is one of the most famous lookouts on this mountain. Although a relatively steep path leads to it, it is easily accessible and is visited by the youngest mountaineers. It offers a beautiful view of Vršac Castle and its surroundings (Sony A6000 & Sony E 18-135, f/5.6, 1/60 sec, ISO-500, LR panorama of 5 vertical photos) #photography #travel #nature #vojvodina #vrsac #serbia #Srbija

The Best places of 2021 - Stara Planina, Babin Zub, Serbia let me explain you names on that mountain: Stara Planina = Old Mountain Babin Zub = Grandmother's Tooth Yeah, names are 'Native Indians' descriptive :) Old Mountain is a mountain range that it's widely consider to be a link between the Carpathians and the Balkan Mountains. It is located in the southeast of Serbia and Bulgaria. It is known for its wild beauty and untouched nature. #photography #travel #nature…

@Vule

The Best places of 2021 - Stara Planina, Midžor The highest peak of southern Serbia and Stara Planina is Midzor with its 2169 meters above sea level. Although it is one of the highest peaks in Serbia, it is relatively easy to climb. A good road leads to the Babin Zub mountain lodge, from which you can reach this peak after a few hours of moderately difficult walking. #photography #travel #nature #hiking #mountaineering #Serbia #Srbija

The Best places of 2021 - Stara Planina, Selište The view in the direction of area known as Seliste from the top of peak Babin Zub seems to have originated at a much lower altitude. The hills are there, only the vineyards are missing, and a few cypresses for this region to be declared Tuscany. But, the peaks of the Balkan Massif from behind shows that this is just another beautiful play of the Mother Nature. #photography #travel #nature #hiking #mountaineering #Serbia #Srbija

The Best places of 2021 - Stara Planina, distant road Photos of the roads taken from the air are always an interesting sight. This one was photographed from the top of Babin Zub on Stara Planina in southeastern Serbia. That evening I went that way as I rushed to further destinations, but I can tell you that it looked much more beautiful from a distant mountain peak. #photography #travel #nature #hiking #mountaineering #Serbia #Srbija

The Best places of 2021 - Stara Planina, lookout One of the lookouts on Stara Planina is very beautiful and easy to visit. You can get almost to the lookout point by transport, and then it is only a 10-minute easy walk away. At dusk, it is worth visiting. #photography #travel #nature #hiking #mountaineering #Serbia #Srbija #photo #landscape

The Best places of 2021 - Stara Planina, evening Before I take you to another place, we are greeted by Stara Planina. And what better farewell than a wonderful evening :) #photography #travel #nature #hiking #mountaineering #Serbia #Srbija #photo #landscape

Yesterday and today I wanted to get some fresh air. And to be alone, to be honest. That is why I have been dedicated to snow hiking for two days now. I can tell you that I really enjoy it. #photography #photo #dailyphotography #snow #winter #cold #walk #hike #hiking

The second in a series of bad years, 2021 is behind us. When I look back on last year, I can't be satisfied. Although all numerical indicators are good, the year was still below average. For example, the sports tracker Strava says that out of 365 days, I was active for almost 270 days, cycling, hiking or gym. I climbed 29,000 meters, both hiking and cycling. Just riding a bike, I covered over 5000 kilometers, which is pretty much when having in mind that I ride exclusively…

'𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱' - A poet once said. A couple of days ago, I decided that the day was too difficult to return directly to my home. Instead, I decided to walk to my, now I can say for sure, favorite lookout. The night was cold. The stars were beautiful. I was completely alone with my thoughts. I need to do this more often. #photography #dailyphoto #myphoto #travel #nightphoto #stars #winter #snow

A few photos taken a couple of nights ago. These are a bit blurry due to the very low temperature and complete darkness that prevailed that night. They were created as long exposures of 30 seconds. They are blurry because the camera didn't have enough light to determine the focus, so I had to use manual focusing. In the pitch dark, I made a few mistakes. But I still like these photos, even though they are technically imperfect. #photography #dailyphoto #myphoto #travel…

One of the weirdest photos I've taken lately. Late night, snow and modern windmill. Photographed with a long exposure of 30 seconds. This is not the result I wanted to achieve at all, but I was pleasantly surprised how the photo turned out in the end. I'll have to go back to this field of windmills one day to experiment a bit with different camera settings. #photography #dailyphoto #myphoto #travel #nightphoto #stars #winter #snow #windmill

This are the ruins of the ancient church of Arača somewhere in the middle of the Vojvodina plain. The scene is completely unexpected. Tens of kilometers in any direction, you will find only fields of corn, sunflowers and grain. History says that the first church on this location was built in the 11th century. One hundred years later, Arača was built on the foundations of that church. Many legends are told about this church. One is that Attila the Hun hid a huge treasure near…

In the end, I didn’t finish a story about that winter hike to Hallstatt. I am not going to finish it even now, to be completely honest. It's a long story. After hiking to Lake Hallstatt, I found a small hiking trail that meandered into the mountain. Although at the beginning of the trail it was a sign that it was closed, I met a couple of mountain rangers who were working on maintaining the trail. With their blessing, I decided to walk the trail just a few more miles. But…

Hallstatt is one of the most famous Austrian and world villages. It is part of the cultural heritage under the protection of UNESCO. There is almost no person who has not seen a photo of this beautiful place. Although I have visited Hallstatt dozens of times over the years, I will always remember him for these scenes. Tucked away in a snowy idyll as I approach him from the mountain. The towers of its churches, the peace and quiet of the snow-covered streets and the beautiful…

Over the weekend, I revisited the same mountain I had climbed the previous weekend. However, last time, only half an hour from the top, I was caught in a very strong snowstorm. First, I gave up the visit to the lookout because it was obvious that visibility is zero in a thick snowstorm. Instead, I headed straight for the summit, expecting the weather to improve. I climbed for another hour to the point that is on the edge of the forest and from which only 50-60 meters of…
