•AGAR-AGAR JELLY Vs. GELATIN JELLY•
Agar-agar (Gulaman) Vs. Gelatin, what's the difference? The former is a plant-based (seaweed) carbohydrate while the latter is a protein substance obtained from animal collagen.
That thought crossed my mind while enjoying my mocha pudding this afternoon. I prepared this no-bake pudding from coffee-flavored Agar-agar powder. I just added boiling water, sugar, milk, and Ovaltine to attain that mocha flavor. I served it chilled with a cup of hot black tea.
Moreover, gelatin jelly has a smooth texture that melts easily in the mouth compared to agar-agar jelly which is somewhat crumbly.

Holidays are over but not for leftovers.
So excited to try this coffee from Sagada which my friend got for me as "pasalubong" (gift) during his holidays' stay in Baguio City.
This ground coffee comes packed in small drip bags that makes it convenient and easy to prepare, you only have to pour in hot water. Presto!
Then I took a slice of the bread pudding that I baked yesterday. That was the first time that I baked bread pudding. The main ingredients bread, milk, raisins, and pineapples were all leftovers last Christmas.
Anyway, pudding and black coffee made a happy Sunday treats perfect!

How are you, dear friends and Noisers?
I'm wondering what's new with you in twenty twenty two (2022)?
I've been from a brief hiatus after the holidays' celebrations. I deliberately put myself on a "holidays mode" to ruminate on the things that have shaped my recent year's battles.
Anyway, it's not good to dwell on past mistakes but use them as ladders for a glorious future instead.
We can always find new things in the experiences that seem similar to our perception if we can avoid the same blunders in the past.
Lately, my attention was caught by that phrase above, "twenty twenty too?" A pun of saying Twenty Twenty Two (2022) because of the new pandemic surge early this year. Unless we discontinue our carelessness we'll be in the same bubble of fear once again.
So keep a steadfast spirit and trust the One supreme author of the universe. For He alone can make all things beautiful even from the stark circumstances in our favor. God bless and stay healthy. 💙

~Thinking out of the box.~
I saw a Star, and it was Pink.
Of course there's no such as a "Pink Star," scientifically speaking. Yet, thinking out of the box makes life more beautiful.
Some regions in the galaxies turn overwhelmingly pink because of the new stars that are being formed. Such wonder of the universe that makes one awe stricken.
Moreover, the only existing "Pink Star" is attributed to the largest known diamond with vivid pink color formerly known as the Steinmetz Pink. It was mined by De Beers in 1999 in South Africa. For the image you can click on this link:

•Goodbye To My Long Hair Part 2•
(First Haircut In Three Years)
Hello, friends and Noisers.
I know that many of my countrymen are bracing at the moment from the ravages of a strong typhoon named Odette. Keep safe everyone. I pray with you.
Even here in our area which is placed under storm signal number one experiences the strong surges of winds and rainfall.
By the way, I thought my scheduled haircut today would be postponed because of the rain. But I decided to push through with my plan no matter what.
My first haircut in three years turned out well. I love my new looks. It was a refreshing experience for me. I commend my newfound barbershop for the cozy and neat ambience as well as for the efficient and courteous staff. These are the things that I usually look for in a barbershop.
After my visit to the barbershop I still managed to drop by at the nearby optical shop for my eyeglasses.

I was startled when my phone set off the alarm upon receiving a rainfall warning from the NDRRMC.
An orange rainfall advisory indicates an extremely bad weather. So the people are notified to be prepared.
It's been raining since yesterday. And it caused the drop in the temperature even more. So in chilly times like these you'd just love to stay dormant in the comfort of your chamber.

•Greetings From MEDUSA•
I spotted this pretty fuzzy critter crawling softly among the leaves of our hydrangea. It took me several minutes of taking some snaps with a good angle. But when it sensed some movements while I tried to keep the leaf still it stopped temporarily giving way for me to do my photo shoot.
Its red head and hairy fragile body looked fascinating. The curious child within me was roused. I began to appreciate its striking yet creepy appearance without cringing.
Sometimes we need to let go of that judgmental adult aspect of ourselves in order to admire in complete abandon the many things that life offer us with sense of utter awe. Rediscovering that childlike wonder in us "unleashes inspiration, meaning, and joy" (Kevin Eikenberry).
Moreover, the sight has posed a reminder to me that no matter how unpleasant a thing or circumstamce may be, we just can't totally dismiss it as such. For we do not know what has in store for it (with us) in the future. Just like this scary creature which might turn out to be a beautiful moth later.

•PAPAYA: Fruit or Vegetable?•
What's up on Friday, guys?
Our papaya tree fell because of the strong wind. So we picked its raw fruits which were matured already.
Some of those I cooked for lunch today. For us, nothing beats raw papaya cooked in coconut milk. I remember I prepared this dish before and posted it in here. But now I chose to add chicken meat instead of smoked fish. Put some spices like ginger, onions, garlic, green peppers, and black pepper. Uhmm that heavenly aroma when it began to cook with the coconut milk. I also added a dash of moringa leaves and sliced carrots to give some color.
📌 Going back to the trivia, Papaya is both fruit and vegetable. Scientifically speaking it is a fruit but when used for culinary purposes it seves as a vegetable.

Nope. I am not yet bidding you a 'good night.' It's way too early to hit the sack (at least for me).
Are you an insomniac?
Last time my Pops was prescribed with a sleep aid pill for his sleeping problem lately.
This is my first time to encounter about this food supplement that enhances one's quality of sleep. Yes it is listed among the food supplement category. So it is not considered as a medicine or a drug in that respect. It contains melatonin -- a hormone that usually produced by the body.
MELATONIN regulates the SLEEP-WAKE cycle of the body. It is also linked with other health benefits such as boosting the immune system, improving the blood pressure and cortisol levels, and acts as an antioxidant among others. 👇

As the month is ending so my shopping has just ended. I decided to treat myself with a simple meal of fried chicken and macaroni soup. So I had to drop by at the famous bee fast food restaurant to buy the stuff before going home.
This is my second time that I tried their macaroni soup which I find so tasty and creamy. 😋
📌 Remember this: don't be hard on yourself. Accept your imperfections as your "features." Take time to appreciate and reward yourself even for the least achievement you gained.

Seriously?
With the constant decline of Covid-19 cases in the country accompanied by diligent vaccination campaign resulted in the recent lifting of the controversial face shield policy in many areas including our province.
But, wait. What is this Omicron all about that posed a new threat lately? Oh God forbid. No more corona virus variant, please?
For the time being I just keep this last set of face shield in case a need arises.
