Does Sex Make You Fat?
Today, my sister and I started an argument on whether having sex can make you fatter or not. I was a proponet of the African mothers belief that having sex makes you fresher, firmer and problem firmer while my Sister stools her ground that sex will never make you fat. To adjudge ourselves we ran to good, old Google.
Based on research, sex is a form of exercise and like every other form of exercises, it helps you to loose weight. Sex is not a fattening tool. However good food coupled with good sex has a way it works on people's bodies to make them look healthier. Sex is good, very good and has a lot of benefits. I will discuss a few.
Studies have shown that sex is extremely beneficial to our health. Sex activates a variety of neurotransmitters that impact not only our brains but several other organs in our bodies.
The benefits of sex for women include:
Lower blood pressure
Better immune system
Better heart health, possibly including lower risk for heart disease
Improved self-esteem
Decreased depression and anxiety
Increased libido
Immediate, natural pain relief
Better sleep
Increased intimacy and closeness to a sexual partner
Overall stress reduction, both physiologically and emotional .
Takeaway
Sex is an important part of life and overall well-being. In relationships, orgasms play a significant part in bonding. Physical and emotional benefits like reduced risk of heart disease, improved self-esteem, and more can come from having sex.
You can still have similar benefits without sex. Engaging in other pleasurable activities like exercising, interacting with a pet, and having a strong network of friends could potentially offer the same benefits. Sex is just one way of improving your quality of life.
But if sex is part of your life, due to a relationship or desire, it’s important to be able to communicate and experience sexual satisfaction. You may find relief and an increase in happiness when you take the time to have sex.
So Sex does a lot but not get you fatter.
