Jealousy occurs when something we already possess is threatened by another person. i.e a relationship /marriage being threatened by a third party.

CAUSES OF JEALOUSY

  • Anxiety issues

  • Inferiority complex

  • Fear og being alone or abandoned

  • Problem with self images

  • Unrealistic expectations

  • Insecurity

  • Anger

  • Competition with other

  • Pain

  • Worry

  • Doubts

Jealousy can occur/happenĀ in many reasons which few are mention below.

  • Feeling intense possessive or having a desire for control

  • Worry about losing a loved one or something so important

  • Having unrealistic expectations about a relationship or marriage

EXAMPLE OF CAUSE OF JEALOUSY

  • CAUSE OF JEALOUSY IN SIBLINGS : siblings jealousy is cause when a child's fear that the parents will replace him/her with a new sibling or when the parents shower more loved to another siblings more than the other.

  • CAUSE OF JEALOUSY IN MARRIAGE /RELATIONSHIP :

Lack of trust is the major cause of jealousy in a marriage /relationship

  • CAUSE OF JEALOUSY IN THE WORK PLACE: Many things can cause jealousy in the work place but the major causes are

* Lack of Recognition

*Promotion of others

*Favoritism

*Lack of teamswork

Finally the roots cause of Jealousy is connected to a person inability to see what God has done in their lives and lacks of thankfulness to God

*Romantic

*Sexual

*Intentionally

*Abnormal

*Pathological

*Irrational

  • ROMANTIC JEALOUSY:

Romantic Jealousy is as a complex of thoughts, feeling, and actions which follows threat to self-esteem or threat to the existence or quality of the relationship.

This threats are generated by the perception of potential attractions between one's partner or rival.

SEXUAL JEALOUSY:

Sexual Jealousy is a specific emotional response to the threats of sexauls infidelity.

INTENTIONAL JEALOUSY :

Intentional Jealousy is a type of jealousy that is done on purpose by deliberately be jealous.

PATHOLOGICAL JEALOUSY :

This is a pathological disorder in which a person is preoccupied with the thought that their partner is being unfaithful without having any solid proof.

ABNORMAL JEALOUSY :

This kind of jealousy is almost the same as pathological jealousy. But this maybe as a sign of and underlying mental health issues such as anxiety and others.

ADVANTAGE OF JEALOUSY

In anything in life there most be an advantage and disadvantage of it. So this are the advantages of Jealousy

*Jealousy is a good Motivator

*Jealousy can help you focus on your goals

*It's help us learn in area we need to grow

*Jealousy can be positive

*Jealousy can be really good if we can turn it to our advantage

DISADVANTAGES OF JEALOUSY

It's disadvantage are;

*It's can destroy your family

*it's can make you murder your family or friends

*It's can lead to uncontrollable anxiety and anger

*It's can lead to depression

*Itscan leads to guilt or shame.

HOW TO OVERCOME JEALOUSY

To overcome or get rid of jealousy you have to do the following to help yoirself

*Voice out your concern to your partner

*Be contented and show gratitude to what u have

*Learn to trust your partner

*Trace what cause your jealousy back to it source

*Celebrate the success of others

*Spend time with grateful people

*Talk with your religion leaders .
