Unbroken Ukraine, Fighting For Their Lives
Hi friends. 5 days I was not active here. I am very sorry, because I often want to be with you. It is difficult in a foreign country, but I am happy to have met Ukrainians in the village where I live. Meeting your people is very heartwarming. We talked and everyone told stories about how they got here. Women with small children who find it difficult to be in another country. And there is no opportunity to go to work to feed their children. How much longer do they have to suffer? How long will the war last?
Continuation of the war
We can be proud of our defenders every day, but especially today. The Armed Forces liberated the town of Trostyanets in the Sumy Region from Russian occupation. People who have been afraid to leave home for three weeks and who have been bullied by Russians feel safe again. But shelling in other cities and oblasts continues, and this evening was uneasy for Lviv - it was twice attacked by Russian troops.
Volunteers from Belarus, who support Ukraine in the war with the occupiers, formed a separate battalion, which became part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They will help us defend the land from the occupiers.
Losses of the Armed Forces and civilians
In the Kyiv region, there are victims of the shelling of settlements from the enemy "Gradov". For last days in the Nikolaev area 41 people were wounded.
Russia's war against Ukraine: how many Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes
According to the UN, more than 3.5 million people have left Ukraine since the beginning of the war. Also, according to the UN Migration Agency, about 6.5 million Ukrainians have become internally displaced persons. Ukraine has already announced payments to migrants, employment and compensation for utility bills.
How many people were evacuated during the month of the war
During the month of the war, more than 219,000 people were evacuated through humanitarian corridors. During this time, Ukrzaliznytsia transported about 2.8 million people by evacuation trains. About 2.2 million children, women and the elderly have temporarily left Ukraine. More than 435,000 of our citizens have returned to Ukraine during this time.
Russia's war crimes during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine
The worst thing is that 128 children have already died among the civilian population.
Russia's war crimes against the media in Ukraine
Russia has committed 148 crimes against journalists and the media since the start of the large-scale invasion. This was reported by the Institute of Mass Media (IMI). Monitoring data, in particular, indicate that:
Five journalists were killed in the line of duty and seven were injured. One journalist went missing.
More than 70 media outlets were forced to shut down due to editorial seizures, threats and temporary occupation.
Six cases of abduction and torture of journalists have been reported.
Month of War: destroyed civilian infrastructure
The Ukrainian Legal Advisory Group has drawn up a map of the destruction of civilian infrastructure by the Russian armed forces. Destroyed at least:
• 4,431 residential buildings;
• 548 educational institutions;
• 135 medical institutions;
• 8 cultural and art institutions
Ukrainians are brave, strong people who prove their integrity. Strength and faith help to hold on, because Russia wants victory and is advancing with all its might. Our people do not have such weapons as in Russia. But do not give up, do not give up their land. Ill-treatment of Russians and Ukrainians. Ukrainians will go to the last breath.
