Way back 2017 my husband's cousin dies because he was and trapped and grabbed by his friend.

Reports said that drowning is the 3rd leading cause of death worldwide. And the highest rates are children age of 1 to 4 followed by 5 to 9. The main reason of drowning are Lack of swimming ability, panic attacks, didn't wear life jacket and mostly lack of supervision. This is my own report of drowning here in our place.

Because we lived near in water area. After our door only a small bridge then without boat you'll all end wet because water is all around the only way is ride a boat so you can to store, schools, church and supermarket.

That's my son in our previous boat, he was off to school that day, this was taken before the pandemic happen. Early in the morning about pass 6am I'll take my daughter on the road so she can go to school. I left my baby in his elder brothers. Then about 7am after my son finished his breakfast he will ride our boat and go to school I can't go with him because our baby is to small to ride on boat so he will brought the boat with him. Then about 12 in the afternoon I already finished cooking I'm waiting for my the kids to fetch home. They'll be waiting for each other and our boat is there.

We have 4 kids, me and my husband is equal to 6 member only 4 of us know how to swim. But my two kids already experienced drowning because we want them to know how to swim. Because when rainy season came the water here goes high quickly and it will never came down it will but will wait until how many months I don't know because it really depends on the weather. In other words FLOOD will cause another drowning case.

This is our house want to come and visit? We have no Second floor either so water will come inside our house.. we only wear boots for safety and we also got along with every Years journey..

Back to the cases of drowning.

My husband's cousin went on to ride a boat the water was not that high, just about beyond people normals height. But they were stubborn they bring the boat that will sink immediately, but they were advised to use the other boat that will make them float. "They have 2 types of boat: wood and fiber ". The wood never sink it will just float even if it will turn around you can even hold to it if you can't swim. Unlike fiber boat it will easily sink once water filled inside and it will sink on the buttom of the water you'll lost everything, panic and you'll felt scared.

At exactly 28th of October year 2017 we saw my niece in a hurry and calling my husband to come immediately because they already found the boat that the victims used in sailing. It's been hours that they gone and his father went to find them he was shocked to see the floating slippers of his son his instinct know that they were already drowned but for a hope he shouted to seek help. Then they Were all looking for the 2 victims hoping that they are OK and safe. But they got the body cold as ice at buttom of the water..

My heart is pumping while writing this..

I was very close to this kid he even played with my kids. We cried so much when we heard that news. I've pitty my aunties husband its very hard to loose someone, no sickness. He lost his son without her on her side. He came and hug her dead son when she camed. And she saw a tear that felt on his eyes son..

They also saw scratches on the kid so they already know that he was grabbed by his friend. The relatives of the other victims said that he don't know how to swim so he might grabbed my husband's niece while panicking. But they were know case to accused because its an accident. Relatives are moaning in tears and shouting as it was a bad nightmare.

Conclusion:

We should take care of our kids not only kids but everyone because we never know how fast accidents will came. Before this story We have other victims that died here in our place because of drowning, I recall the victims are 2 to 3 to be exact. We can never bring our house to safer place but we can prevent accidents by keeping an eye on every thing they'll do. And pray always to have the guidance of our lord.
