Its been two years since we have been using face masks as a protection against COVID-19 virus. Are you still wearing facemasks when going outside your houses? Good thing that our country is slowly going back to normal thanks to the vaccine that was being mandatory many of our people agree to take those shots and it seems to be very effective because It lower the cases of COVID-19.
And I'll never forget the last day I got to the market wearing no face mask it was like a normal day but a lot of people were panicking because the lock down will be declaring. And the most essential stuff is probably out in the market.
What are those?
Alcohol and face masks
I remember I had a hard time buying and finding isopropyl alcohol and facemasks. I went to drugstores, supermarket market and public market but they have no stock available. It have it on the online but the online sellers grab the opportunity to do a price hike and we have no choice but to omorder. Alcohol had been a big demand in our country it is often used in houses and specifically when going out.
Our official notice the over pricing of face masks and alcohol in the market and the face mask was originally 40 pesos per pack but it almost reached to more than 100 pesos or 2$ and they said the sellers went corrupt.
We have no choice and we end up using cloth face masks. I was everyday outside because I was selling eggs, and the baranngay official told us to us we can't go any where without wearing face masks. And I remember cloth face masks was kindly distributed by the tailor for police officers who been patiently guarding checkpoints inside and out side there designated place.
Then many camed up with different ideas in making facemasks as a fashion trend. My first facemasks was a rectangular shaped and It didn't look fine so I find some trendy facemasks to fit my daily chores such as selling eggs in our Barrio. I encounter different people everyday so I need to look my best.
These facemasks went fast selling you can have it for 2$ or 100 pesos per 3 pieces and it's always out of stock I thought my friend will delivery it to our house but it went how many days and I really wanted to have some of those. So I decided to go through there house and pick it up and it was really beautiful and worth the wait.
A year after facemasks had also become a fashion statement In our country and all over the world. Because of the higher risk of the virus spreading all kinds of people wear facemasks as protection and it is really used everyday of our lives. And as we go outside we will see different kinds of colors, style shape of facemasks this will really help us enjoy the pandemic and ease our whereabouts and some of us wear facemasks as the same of our out fits. We can't see the smile of everyone but we are always safe to see one another for facemasks is built with love and concern.
Closing Thoughts
As we moved our selves to become a better person we must adopt the changes made In our world. The pandemic made us hide our selves in our house and and our faces but that's not mean we can't do anything, we just need to obey the rules for our safety. Because even the pandemic can't stop us from going outside our houses this only means we got a chance to enjoy our lives because there are many ways to make our selves happy.
