Qualifying Exam in Human Resource Journey: Did I Pass or Fail?

We had our Human Resource qualifying exam last Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Again, we must pass this 80 question-exam before graduating and taking the final exam, the CHRA exam (also known as the Certified Human Resources Manager).

I was cramming and anxious about the probable questions that might be asked in the exam a few days before the exam. I completed some free online quizzes to refresh my memory on some of the definitions of words used in HR Theories. This method has proven to be really effective in helping me recall each term.

January 5, 2022: Examination Day

As you can see, the time allotted for this exam was only from 1 pm until 3 pm. The pointers here are the Introduction in Human Resource, Job Analysis, and Recruiting and Selection.

I opened the Moodle (our university site) before 1 pm. And when I saw that the exam is now open, I started to open the specific file of the qualifying exam. Here, once you click the "start attempt" button, theres no way you can back out. You have to be sure that you are really ready to take it.

When I clicked it, the 1-hour timer started.

Question 1 up to 20 was so basic. I can tell you guys that I got perfects scores there. But when I got to number 23...

Gosh! The internet connection got lost!

I paused myself for a minute and did not pressed anything because if I reload the page, the site will no longer allow me to take back at the exam..

After a few seconds, a green notification popped up and saying that I can now continue answering the qualifying exam. Luckily, the timer also stopped when I had this connection lost.

Actually, this is not due to our internet connection in our house but the Moodle App itself. Good thing, my answers from the previous parts was also saved.

After 123456789 years, Joke! only 51 minutes.. I was able to finished the exam. As you can see in the above screenshot, I still have 8 minutes and 59 seconds left.

To make sure, i also took a screenshot that I was done with the exam. As you will know, I always do this everytime that I wll be answering quizzes or exam. It's just that, sometimes I tend to forget that I need to take some quiz.

After the Exam

I just straightly post in noise.cash how I feel about the qualifying exam. I said that I wasn't confident in my answers. I also posted an article here about it.

Well, as another activities, I just ate a lot of foods because it made me a little stressed thinking about the questions. Then, I just watched different videos in Tiktok.

January 6, 2022

The list of retakers posted in our selected group chats. The class representative first announced that if we see our names in the list, we must now ready ourselves for a retake in the afternoon, on that day as well.

So, did my name showed up in the list of retakers?

The answer is.....

NO. 😄😄

Meaning to say, YES! I did it!

I passed the Qualifying Exam!!

I am the person with the Red mark. (Sorry, I may not post here my real name for security)

Final Thoughts

Of course I am really, deeply happy with my first achievement this year!! This is definitely something I can proud of. Yes, I doubt myself but I am really so much grateful to see that my name is there in the list of qualifyers.
