Time + Skill = Some Cash

The sudden downfall of the price of cryptocurrencies is a concern of the financial market observers. Most cryptocurrency investors are having a hectic time.

Time is a currency that nobody can store, but can only spend cautiously.

The price of the cryptos is not in our hands. The time currency is our resource. Should we not care about our precious time?

Time can play a decisive role and yield a tremendous impact on our economic life.

Time is limited in a day

We have one life to live. The total length of life is not the same for all. Then, who is to blame if our achievements in life are not of a similar standard? Nobody can take responsibility for our lives except us.

In the limited twenty-four-hour, a day people did a lot of work. They work, eat, sleep, enjoy art, listen to music, watch movies, and do social services too.

Late Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore started to learn about modern physics, especially the theory of relativity, in his seventies. In those days (before the 1940s), there were no Internet and FAX. Letters and parcels used to be delivered by seamail.

And, mind it, Tagore was a poet, novelist, short story writer, wrote and composed thousands of songs. He also directed a motion picture. He founded a university now famously known as Shantiniketan - The Vishwabharati University, and his printing press.

If we wish, we can learn and accomplish a lot of work within a day. There is no need to put in super hard work. A sustainable and learning attitude is enough.

Use your time to acquire a skill

Most of us have our core areas which are very close to our hearts. I am saying about specialization in school, college, or university studies. Some of us must be having some years of experience working in those fields. These are the major field of work experience, such as electronics, economics, etc.

Major and minor field of studies often complement each other.

Then comes the areas that are our minor fields of study that are well nurtured while obtaining the diploma or degree. Somebody majoring in electronics might have opted for economics as a minor study. We may make the minor field very useful when performing duties in a job or consultation work.

Make use of a part of your daily time in learning something new and worth it.

The other vocational fields are often overlooked during college studies, but those topics also become a breadwinning vocation for many. We can also learn new subjects and acquire new skills. Nowadays, blogging is a natural field most professionals dive into. Writing skill is required for all professional work. Therefore, learning and developing writing skills is a must-to-acquire skill of today.

Monetize your acquired skills

Most of our skills may turn out to be beneficial for ourselves. Either we utilize it for a job or employment, or we use this knowledge to earn by being self-employed.

Making money is not the primary purpose of acquiring knowledge. But, everybody has to make a living out of their knowledge and expertise. In that sense, earning or creating a career is one primary life goal.

There are a few fortunate people who are able to mix vocation and passion.

An example is blogging. It gives mental pleasure and satisfaction by writing. The writing skill acquired by informal blogging can create a striving career for some.

I can give a striking example. I have known somebody in an advertising career for almost twenty years and was also a performing flutist. The guy got the idea of using music in advertising and started his own branding business.

Monetization of a skill is a brilliant way to add a secondary earning stream.

Bringing it altogether

Time is a limited resource. We must adequately make use of our total available time in a day. We must learn and add new skills to our portfolio.

Our primary fields of study should always be utilized first. In a cooperative environment, the minor areas may also support the major domains in a complementary manner.

New skills may also remain handy to bring new income streams.

In the end, time + Skill may help to earn some cash.

The crypto market tumbling is a regular incident. I concentrate more on my core work and spend my precious time reading, learning, and growing.

I develop solutions for cybersecurity, data privacy, especially authentication technology and password security. I also write blogs here and elsewhere.
