Life is So Temporary!
The Indian music industry mourns the untimely death of a singer.
The 31st of May 2022 was a dark day for the Indian film and music industry.
KK or Krishnakumar Kunnath, a son of a Keralite parent, who was born and brought up in Delhi. KK used to give stage performances since his teen days. KK moved to Mumbai (Bombay) in 1994 to make a career in playback singing. He sang several ad jingles with many budding music directors, including Shantanu Maitra (music director of the film '3 Idiots'), Pritam, etc.
In the first four years of his musical career, KK sang more than 3500 ad jingles in eleven languages.
Later he made a place in the Indian film music arena and sang songs in numerous Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, etc. Indian languages move songs. KK was very popular and drew huge crowds to all his performances in India and abroad.
The popular singer KK expired after a power-packed performance
It happened in the City of Joy Kolkata or Calcutta, our hometown. We couldn't believe that it really happened. I remember casually watching for some time a live video of the program shared by a music lover.
KK collapsed just after returning to his hotel room from the auditorium. It was reported that KK was profusely sweating during the performance, and was complaining about the air conditioning.
But, KK continued with the performance with tremendous agility on the stage. Nobody knew that his heart was suffering to maintain normal pumping of blood through all the arteries!

How can we take care of our lives?
Life is so temporary. Nobody can guess what is going to happen the next moment.
Indian playback singer KK's sad demise after a lively and mesmerizing performance in Kolkata throws a warning to all the stakeholders engaged in show business.
Live performances of famous celebrity singers generally pull huge crowds that sometimes lead to unforeseen circumstances for all stakeholders.
The management of the auditoriums, the police and security staff, the organizers, and the state government administrators must be responsible for their duties.
There should always be enough crisis management facilities in hands, such as fire brigade and emergency medical unit.
Finally, the performer artists must be careful about their health conditions while giving live performances. The personal managers of the artists must be very attentive to all well-being of the artists during the performances.
In the last week's performance, if KK was more loving of his own body and health condition, he could have taken a quick decision to go for a medical checkup in a nearby hospital.
KK's personal manager/secretary should have been more active in looking after the well-being of his employer, i.e., KK.
Postscript
I feel sentimental while viewing how intensely KK was performing in his last show.
