Improving English

Hello, lovelies!
This article is about my personal experience sharing about how I improved my English.
But before starting I would like to flex my sponsors..
So, I come from a very small town and most of the part of my life I also stayed in my village, the village which does not use to have well-connectivity to the nearby city, but it is now connected with the nearby city with a metallic road Thanks to the schemes rolled out by the government of connecting villages to their nearby cities.
And, we can very well expect the education which is received by the kids of a remote village and the medium of their instruction which is usually in a regional language not the books but the medium of instructions.
But then, my parents shifted to the nearby small town where there were only 2 English medium schools and others HINDI MEDIUM SCHOOLS so my parents enrolled us (me and my 2 elder brothers) in one of the English medium schools. The environment was good in the school the discipline, rules were all worth embracing but still, we could not really learn English so very well because the same thing the medium of instructions was in Hindi despite books being in Hindi, we can understand what we are taught and what's written in the books but when it comes to speaking English it was horrible.
Then I get enrolled in the military school after going through various stages and there I realised how weak my English really is I remember one incident a little senior-junior talk-
Him: "where are your batchmates?" ( in an angry tone)
Me:"Sir, He are coming."
Him: (Very politely and gently) "You should say that 'They are coming'".
Me: "Yes sir
Him: "Now f**k off"
Though I improved my English there I could speak and understand well but still we used to talk in Hindi itself so I haven't learned to speak English fluently.
Then I had an interview for the army when I was in class 12th and when I was practicing for the interview I realised that I am stammering while speaking and also the word which needs to be spoken off in a sentence does not strike off in my mind.
Then I passed out from the military school and while I was in military school I do not used to read newspapers but definitely used to see the pictures printed in them. After passing out from school I made up my mind that I will inculcate some good qualities in me and one of them would be to read the newspaper daily.
Bang! when I started reading the newspaper it seems so boring at first and so cumbersome but gradually I keep on giving more time to read the newspaper and in the process of reading it I learned the use of punctuations, correct use of modals, determiners, parts of speech, etc (Though I wouldn't say that I am an expert in it but I am willing to learn)
Then I also started watching Hollywood movies in English (earlier I used to watch them in the Hindi language) with the subtitles and I used to pause and look for the sentence when I encounter some beautiful sentences and some sentences which are spoken in a savage manner. Slowly I realised that I can understand what they are saying without the use of subtitles so I switched off the subtitles in all movies that follow ahead.
I also keep a diary where I write off the vocabulary which is new to me and I revise them in my free time. While mentioning those vocabs I also sometimes try to write their synonyms too but only sometimes because if you keep on doing this for every word you encounter then it will feel like hectic work and might be possible that you end up losing interest in learning new vocabs.
Lastly, I would only say that when I passed out from school I was 16 and I advised myself that in this post modernisation era Knowing and speaking English is a must and when I will hold some high positions in my life later and If I keep on stammering and unable to speak English fluently It would convey a bad influence to my juniors, subordinates and all the people around me who follows me. So I decided that I will invest my time into improving my English and the time I will be in such positions I will be able to speak so lavishly.
"LEARNING ANYTHING IS NOT A ONE DAY PROCESS OR A WEEK, OR A MONTH SOMETIMES IT CAN TAKE A REALLY LONG TIME BUT JUST KEEP IN MIND THAT THE LONGER IT TAKES THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IT WILL BE"
Thank you for your time reading my experience:-)
The newspaper in article is actually "The Times of India" I never preferred reading that.
