A mistake can become a beautiful design
Guys, it's Sunday morning in these parts, so I just wanted to check in for a quick hello, and to share with you another picture of one of plants.
This is actually the result of an accident. A friend once told me that a mistake can become a beautiful design, and I agree with her. These two plants are growing beautifully together and they came together quite by chance. Here's what happened.
In our home, we had a pot of dirt in which we were actually intending to plant a snake plant.
The snake plant, scientific name Dracaena trifasciata, is said to be a good plant to keep in your home because it is not only a healthy plant, cleaning the air and releasing oxygen at night, but it's also good energy.
So we were intending to transplant the snake plant from another pot and we just had the dirt there in an empty pot and, I guess, a bit of laziness got in the way. By the time I got around to it, however, I noticed there were seedlings in the pot of the rice fern (the green plant) and this other beautiful plant with the purple leaves I don't quite know the name of. Do you?
How did this come about? Well, the rice fern for one has these little red berry like seeds that you'd see on the mature plants, like fruits. And when those seeds fall, if they find fertile soil, a new plant would grow. The other plant, I'm not very sure what happened, but there were these two plants together in the pot, and of course, I was intrigued because I wanted to know what they would look like together. A mistake might just be a beautiful design, right?
So I watered the plants every day for a few weeks and then one day, I noticed there were flowers on the purple plant, and the three colors- the green fern, purple leaves and lilac flowers were so beautiful, I could not bring myself to separate them.
Every mistake, as my friend said, can be a beautiful design. The plants have now almost outgrown the plant pot though, and it appears as though the purple plant may overrun the ferns if left untended, so I'd probably try to separate them now.
Well guys, as you may have figured out, I try to find inspiration in everything. Literally. It's how I keep going when I have to deal with situations that are daunting. This here reminds me that there is so much beauty in the world, sometimes in unexpected places, sometimes brought together in the simplest and most unexpected ways.
Every single detail doesn't have to go according to a rigid plan for things to work out well in our lives. Sometimes we may make mistakes. Sometimes we may find ourselves thrown into situations that are unintended. We can still thrive and turn misfortune into a beautiful design.
Happy Sunday, everyone.
I love this. We sometimes can salvage somethings from mistakes and turn them into a beautiful design. Nice. Thumbs up.
