We can now change our focus from demand, to the producer's side, to discuss supply. What is consumers demand are supplied by the producers. It is important to point out from the on-set that the general public's viewpoint of supply is extremely different from the economist's. Supply is not the total production of the producing firm. It is the quantity of the commodity the producer is willing to offer to the market at a particular price and time.
