Don’t hate great people. Emulate them. Don’t criticise them. Analyse them. Avoid envying them. Instead, focus on studying them. Don’t be the hater among 9 great men. Instead, be the emulator and you will be the 10 great man. ‪Friends of the rich become rich. It is the law of attraction. What you hate you repel. What you appreciate, you attract. That is how Abraham became wealthy. By appreciating Melchizedek. Like a mirror, you reflect what you appreciate and emulate ‬

Forgetting the past In a relay race, you can only emerge a success if you keep looking forward and not backward. In riding a bicycle, you can only remain on track if you're looking forward, not backward or downward. In life, yesterday's success is an enemy of today's success. You always have to forget the past. Have you made a landmark achievement in your career? Have you been accorded an award of a great accomplishment? If you don't quickly set a new record for tomorrow, today's achievement will soon become obsolete. Yours may not be a positive achievement but a negative thing that keeps pulling you down or a failure of the past. You have to let that go as well. You have to forget about it. You need to look ahead of you. Never submit to that guilt; it does not define you. To shape your future is in your hands. God says "I will never remember their sins" (Hebrews 10:17). Truly He doesn't remember because He cannot lie. You are the one trying to give it a life. Paul's letter to us today highlighted that there is a great future ahead of us. We should focus on that future and not the past. Whenever the devil reminds you of your past glory or fault, tell the devil that you're not in the past tense, but you're in the present.

Savings III Yesterday, we looked at four ways you can keep your money without touching it except for the purpose it was designated for. *Banking Saving Schemes:* There are a number of helpful saving schemes in bank that can help you save against the future. There are schemes that help you save against the school fees of your unborn children or even your own. These schemes make it very difficult if not impossible for you to access your money until after three years and beyond. You can walk up to your bank to ask for details. You can get a scheme that is as low as #5,000 per month. If you can persistently save that for three years to ten years, it would mean a lot of money for you. You can use such money to do some business or pay for your children‘s school fees. All of these schemes come with interest. The interest is always minimal; it is usually around 7% in the Nigerian system. One benefit the interest has for you is that, you are sure your money is not going to be reduced for any bank charges, it would rather be added to. Many of these schemes have provisions for insurance. If there is an accident or health situation or death, there is an amount they are required to pay to the beneficiary. There are insurance companies that also do these schemes as well as a number of other companies. I can‘t recommend anyone to you, I can only advice that any firm you are dealing with, make sure they have a physical office building where the transaction is sealed. *Fixed deposit and Treasury Bills:* fixed deposit is a banking system that allows you to fix some amount of money over a period of time: short or long. Treasury Bills on the hand is usually between 7days to 90days. Before now, these two schemes are highly profiting and have more interest than other saving schemes but the recent policies of the Nigerian government have crashed them. Meanwhile, you can seek the advice of your account officer or a banker before considering any of them.

Savings II There are only a few people that can avoid not spending their savings. Many of us are wired in such a way that we can't keep our eyes off not touching our savings. Once a problem is identified, the solution comes in handy. You spend your savings because it is available, if you make it unavailable, you will not spend it. Some would say they borrowed or help people with their savings but once you make it unavailable and out of your reach, you won't find yourself spending it. You can help people but you cannot help everybody and the more prudent you are, the more help you will be able to offer in the later future. You will also be able to cut down on excess spending. Today, I will be giving you tips on how to make your savings unavailable. A. *Two Bank accounts:* this is a basic method many people practice. One of the bank accounts would be designated to savings while the other would be for business or personal transactions. You can easily transfer from your other account to it at a reduced cost if there is any charge at all. B. *Another person:* you may have someone very close to you probably your spouse or fiancée or sibling that is very good at keeping money. Such people are strict to the point that if you request for the money on anything aside what you told them initially, they are not going to release it. C. *Thrift:* this usually comes in the form of daily or monthly contribution. D. *Get a box:* this is an archaic form of savings and people still make use of it today. You simply get a wooden or iron box that has a tiny hole that only allow you put into it and cannot take money from it until when you are ready to break the box. E. *Piggybanks:* this looks like the box thing but this time around, it is a banking system that allows you drop any amount in the savings which cannot be easily accessed until a time. But please beware of fraudsters.

Savings We started two days ago by checking how we can all be financially intelligent. A man once said he started saving long before he got married and before his first child gained admission, he had all the school fees saved, this can also be your testimony. To answer our questions from yesterday on what do I have to save? Simply save at least 10% of all your incomes and earnings. Any money that comes to you and that is yours; take out 10% of it! *SAVE YOUR INCOME:* save 10% of your income after deducting tithe, if you receive 100,000 save 10,000. Don't bury it in your stomach or activities that have short term value, save them, just like we read in our focus for today. That's why there is no difference in the life of some people. No difference from when they received 100,000 and when they received 200,000 because they are always spending all. Some would say the money they received was not even enough let alone saving from it. My answer is, treat that 10% as another expense you must make. Or treat it as a debt you must refund. *SAVE SURPRISE MONEY:* when surprise or awuf money comes your way, don't squander it. Don't spend it anyhow! Save everything or up to 50% of it! If someone gives you a little change don't eat it up, you were never expecting it anyway, so save it, don't put any budget on it, immediately you get it save it, put this in mind. *SAVE 50-100% OF YOUR INCREASE:* as soon as the salaries of many folks increase they quickly adjust to the new lifestyle and spend more. They quickly move from their one room apartment to two rooms or flat. They stop eating fish and upgrade to meat. That is a very big mistake. The increment should be an opportunity for you to save for some time, at least three months then you can begin to adjust or upgrade after some time. Some people have problem with savings, they just can't save without spending. I will tell you what you can do about it tomorrow. Have a great day today.

Financial intelligence The moment you started earning money is the day you can decide to make as much as you want to make in life, Most of us especially in this part of the world are financially unintelligent. Take a look at the maize having up to 1000 seeds, if you just take one and plant it, it can grow to give you another 1000 seeds. In this series we shall discuss three important things to do to be able to have financial freedom. One of it is 👇👇👇 *SAVINGS:* ask yourself these questions; at what age did you start buying things on your own? At what age did you receive your first One Naira? Let's assume you are 23 years and you were 3 years old in your primary school, which means for the past 20years of your life you have started earning money, if you have saved #100 daily for 365 days, what you will have today is #730,000. If you are 23years, this is how rich you should be today! But many of us are above 23years and we don't have that in savings. With good financial intelligence, you can actually walk out of poverty. Savings can really secure your financial future; lets see what Jesus who is our perfect example taught about financial intelligence. He talked about the parable of the talent: When the master came back and asked for the account. The man with one talent or let's call it one dollar says he went to bury it, but the master asked why he didn't deposit the money in the bank at least to get some interest on it. In actual sense, talents in the Bible doesn't mean gifts, it was a currency. Some other versions called it Bags of Money. So, the least business God expects that you do with your money is savings not burying in your stomach. Quite a number of folks have wasted God's resources all in the name of burying it. Someone would ask: what do I have to save? We shall discuss this tomorrow.

How to read the Scriptures ✅ *How to read the Scriptures:* Schedule a regular time for it. It is best done very early in the morning for at least 20minutes. Daily Communion is recommended as a guide. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you from the Scriptures. You need to say it consciously, speak aloud to Him as if He is by you. Tell Him you want to hear His voice as you read the Bible. Think into the Scriptures as you read. Whether at your quiet time or any other time. Remember the Holy Spirit speaks from your heart, so you have to engage your heart while reading the Bible. As you think, ask yourself questions, clarify any confusion you may have while reading. It is advisable you use other simple versions aside KJV for clarity. As you think into the Bible, you will understand what is written and the small still voice of the Holy Spirit will speak to you in form of promptness or inspiration. I want you to understand, that promptness and inspiration often come in form of thoughts. Luke 24:30-31 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Circle of life Life has been designed is such a way that it goes all round and round , we get to meet several people in life and when we sit back to check you'll discover that those set of people are not around anymore . At the long run you meet another set of people and it goes on and on like that but the thing is how well do you threat those friends when they are around you? Fine they might leave you but they will always make reference to your act of service wherever they are. And guess what? Life might simply bring them back to you, so what will be your reaction when they are back to you??

@Emmans20

Time and season The time is a very important factor that determines the season that comes in every human life. Remember very many of us sees time as something else but it's actually a factor that determines life, we go about doing things we are not supposed to all because we feel it's the right time for us to start flourishing. Naturally there are time that has been assigned to everything and every season that comes, some of us are envious of our neighbors forgetting that their timing is quiet different from ours, some are depressed because they feel they are not making edge despite all their efforts honestly we we understand the principle of time and season, we won't be bothered with what goes around us, we keep working and trust me that time to flourish will come. Just give it time.

God reveals that the reason people were cursed is because they did not lay it to heart to consciously give Him praise. How many of God's blessings have we taken for granted? A young man bought a bike and invited the Pastor to dedicate it. Not long, he got a car. A man got a car beetles (Volkswagen) which people regarded as small then he announced: God gave me a very big car but someone ridiculed it. That man changed his car several times to bigger ones while the man that ridiculed him still pushed his old car around. Do not despise God or what He has done for you. Magnify Him. Jesus magnified the small loaves and fishes and God increased it. David magnified his testimony of killing a bear and a lion and God made him slaughter Goliath which according to the people was estimated to worth 10,000 lives. David praised God on every little thing and God raised Him in all areas of his life. God is at work to raise you in this year as you lay it to heart to praise Him. Remember, it is a command
