I believe that once a man gets the one thing needed as said by the Jesus the Lord, most other things will be in place. The conversation between Jesus and the two sisters revealed how to get most event of life right Luke 10:38-42. Let's get a few point from here;
As a believer of Jesus, the first thing I must imbibe, is allowing my heart to be filled with the very of word of God. This is what Jesus meant in Luke 4 when he said man shall not live...but by every word of God. And apostle puts it this way in Col 3:16 let the word of Christ dwell in you richly... All of this is to help us live right and get it right as we navigate the phases of life!
Obviously, there were some characters in the Bible who became our examples in this subject matter:
Saul the king must come to mind, how did he get it wrong in his quest? Disobedience, this doctrine defines my drift and shift from details and truth. This is what get him twisted and he became so wrong!
Absalom the heir to David's throne; what happened to him? Pride, this is a destroyer. He was so prideful of his personality and position. Also a reception of false information and growing a false idea that is contrary to your believe.
Joshua the successor of Moses; to some level, got a measure of successes in his journey of life, but how? From the beginning of his journey he has to involve God who called him... Josh 1:1; 8. Three things he imbibed to add upbhis success are; having a right attitude or character informed by the law of God; 2. He kept practising the law he had received from his predecessor; and 3. He refused to quit even when he had the chance because Jehovah kept encouraging him. (The Joshua, his life and his journey)
Timothy, a protege of apostle Paul; guess what apostle Paul never wrote to Timothy about marital relationship. Because he knows that once the young man gets it right with God and His word, apparently most things will fall in place. There are a few things the apostle told him to help get it right:
1 Tim 1:4, stay focus on the word and do not be derailed by what you hear that is contrary to your believe.
1 Tim 1:19, be resilient in your believe and practice clean conscience as you journey in life.
1 Tim 4:13-16, embrace the doctrine of Christ, uphold your giftings and godly ideas, work out your believe, goals and check yourself. Checking yourself does not have you to relate with the self Jesus said you should deny. It is the self that is already relinquished to Jesus, which you are now Rom 12:1.
Ladies and gentlemen, we can go on and on, to talk about so many like Judas the betrayer and Peter the denyer. These are two different characters but approached the event of life differently. While Judas never got back into the right path, Peter got it right and stayed on the path. Observe, what Peter did, he returned to seek for his relationship with his Lord. Judas did not come to his Lord rather he went to those he did business with in the sale of Jesus. Wrong!!! There are places we should not go and be, because of our vocation, this cut across marital relationship and choices, business relationship and choices, etc. Where are you right now? It is not always too late to return, I mean getting it right. It is always a choice, please choose to get it right now!
There are places we should not go and there are places we should not be. Because of our vocation it cut across our businesses, marriages and other aspects of our lives
It is not late to get it right. Rest on God, he is ready to give the part of life that will suit you. I hope these word of encouragement will help some one to remain make all things right like Mary the sister of Martha.
Thank you for reading. And God bless you all.
