Blood donation and blood transfusions have been used for the human body since time immemorial. As ‘Ashraful Makhlukat’ or the best creature of creation, blood is a very important and essential fluid for the protection of precious human life and body.
If blood is lost from the body in any accident, if there is bleeding from the intestines or any other organ inside the body, blood is very necessary for surgery. Blood transfusions are essential during childbirth operations or in critical situations such as major accidents.
Just as there is no alternative to taking blood for anemia in the human body, the sale of blood to meet the demand for blood is not legal. However, it is legal to buy blood for a patient if he does not get it for free, but the seller will be guilty.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘Every disease has a cure. So when the medicine is taken according to the disease, then the patient is cured by the command of Allah. '(Muslim)
In the eyes of Islam, voluntary blood donation saves the precious lives of other people and one's own life is also at risk; Therefore, there are no restrictions on blood donation in Islam. But thousands of people in the country are dying every year due to lack of blood.
Donating a bag of blood can save the life of another dying person. If someone donates blood voluntarily, it will save the life of an endangered person or a dying patient, as well as build a blood bond between the blood donor and the recipient.
Donating blood voluntarily will not only save the lives of others, but also keep one's own life risk-free. To ensure the highest security of the precious lives of endangered people, the Holy Qur’an declares, ‘If anyone else saves someone’s life, it is as if he saved the entire human race of the world.
