16TH MARCH, 2022.
43RD ARTICLE IN ALL.
13TH ARTICLE IN THE MONTH.

The word "trust" is a wide word. In grammar, it can be a noun or a verb. I would discuss "trust" as a noun in this article.

Have you ever trusted anyone? Has someone ever trusted you? Has someone ever professed before you that you are trustworthy? Did anyone betray your trust? Have you ever betrayed someone's trust?

These and many other questions need to be answered. The word "trust" means different things to different people.

How did I come about this topic? A scenario displayed before me today and that was what gave rise to this topic. A student went to our school library to return the material she loaned. She took the material from the reference section of the library. After signing in the circulation section, she asked the lady at the loan desk( circulation clerk) whether she should just drop the material on her(the lady) table or take it back to the reference section. The student asked this question because the circulation clerk is charged with the responsibility of returning books back to the shelves to make sure it is properly returned but she was busy with some arrangements at the time.

The reference section is another part of the library in a different room. The circulation clerk answered the student's question and said "I trust you". That statement has been ringing in my brain since that time. I must confess, that statement means a lot. It means the circulation clerk has studied the student and concluded that she is a person that could be trusted. What an indispensable quality!

"Trust" according to the dictionary is confidence in or reliance on some person or quality. It is trustworthiness and reliability. Trust is also to believe that someone is honest and sincere and will not deliberately do anything to harm you. Sometimes, a person may not have the intention to harm us but because of what we have heard about that person before, we conclude that a person can not be trusted.

There are some things that can make us not to be trusted. It might be because of our past mistakes or what has been said by blackmailers about us. There are so many reasons why people are not trusted.

The circulation clerk believes the student will surely return the book back to the reference section and not take it somewhere else. Trust is what we want to see in everyone we meet and have a dealing with. Do something that will make you to be trusted.

Thanks for reading 💞

Trust is an important thing we have to offer and earn. We need to be trusted and also to be able to trust people

It is always good to be of good behavior. The circulation clerk has studied the student and have seen that he/she is loyal and won't get away with the library's book. We need to be of good conduct, so we can be trusted too.

They lady at the loan desk had studied her over time, and knew she could be entrusted, so she trusted her. Though, in the world we are today many can't be trusted, some even don't trust themselves, talk less of another person trusting them, but despite this, there are still faithful people that could still be trusted, that girl was one.
