Simple yet happy

Yesterday was my first nephew's birthday. We celebrate his birthday in a very simple way yet I could see in his eyes the happiness his heart contain.

I know it's late to celebrate his birthday here in this platform yet here I am writing about his celebration because I had found lesson and happiness while celebrating with him. I wasn't able to write it yesterday since I had to celebrate my 11 months in this platform with you friends since I've been missing many months of celebration so I made up this time and make sure I could celebrate and write my heartfelt gratitude to all of you yesterday.

Last day April 26, 2022 is the 9th birthday of my first nephew. I could remember how I cuddle him in my arms right after he was out from the maternity room. He was so cute and beautiful baby but now his growing fast as time flies so fast. He is becoming a teenage boy. I'm sorry I'd become an emotional tita here 😁😅. I can't hold myself huhu.

Anyways, to continue my story, his birthday was just a very simple one. We don't have much and even I myself wasn't able to give much that day. We just hang a simple decoration for him. And we cooked just a few viand. We are just bless by her godmother who have sent him a thousand bill for his birthday, which his mother bought a pasta for spaghetti, some pork for the humba and pansit, and a cake.

We didn't invite many people just family, close friends and few neighborhood. Even so we enjoy the celebration, the celebrant enjoy his birthday. One of his visitor jokingly said to him, "You have a lot of visitors coming, your cake will be eaten and nothing will left for you." He responded saying," It's okay as long as I have visitors and they will be happy and full, I will be happy." I am really happy of his response. He never worried about himself but he look for the welfare of his visitors. He is a big boy indeed. He even take care his friends who came to celebrate with him. And had so much fun. Her mom greet him and asked if his happy and he said he is happy. The reason of his happiness is so simple, he had his favorite food as what he requested, he had cake from his godmother, and his friends is coming over.

Conclusion

In life sometimes we forget to appreciate the simple things because we are not contented and looking for more than the things we acquire thus we could not feel happy with those simple things. Let us remember that this simple things are the things that we need and could make us happy. We shouldn't have to look for the things that is not there because if we do so, we could never feel happy in our lifetime. Children had simple happiness and they could appreciate simple things, things that we, adult couldn't even see as worthy or have value.

During birthdays we want nice dress, good food and many gifts without even asking ourselves if that could really be the necessary things to make us happy. Cause we we see closely, it just take a family, a friend and whatever food present to make a celebration become wonderful and full of life. Because what's the use of the nice dress, good food and gifts if your family isn't present? If no friends arrived because you have none? If your visitor isn't happy attending? It will be surely useless. So, whenever a celebration is celebrated let's makes sure that whatever you have you are happy and contented with it cause even how simple it could be you could still be happy.

Life isn't about the richness nor the luxury of being rich but it's about having true people who supports you, guide you and be with you through thick and thin.
