Rain, rain go away!

Rain could be enjoyable but it could be a struggle too.

A cold morning everyone!

It's been three days of consecutive raining and there are lots of bad effects that rain had given to us here on the other side of the globe. We don't know if there is typhoon or none since we can't access television yet here in my work place. Yet, there is only one thing that is certain typhoon or not when rain comes around there will be bad effects to us. Let me tell you what are those.

There quite few to mentions when it comes to the effect of raining. Some of these are floods, landslide, Lossing of electricity, cold weather, and lot more connected effects from those I have mentioned.

Floods

When raining season comes due to typhoon or just the weather, we always tend to be more affected because we stay in a low area and is near from the river and irrigation. I already share here few instances of flood situation in our place. Not just a problem of safety but floods can cause lot more problem such as landslide and ruining of plantation and other farming activities. It's will become a domino effect for us. And sometimes we worry more to our plants that we spend money and efforts just to have some harvest in the expected time, more than our safety. Like today we worry for our rice field that my sister had put a lot of work. It started to have some grains now and it's worry not just us but all of the farmers today.

Landslide

Since the typhoon Odette the road going to our place isn't safe anymore. The area where landslide happened keeps eroding. And whenever rain comes landslide happened. Just the issue yesterday and I believe if rain won't stop the mountain keeps on collapsing. Especially that the soil there is brown and sticky ones just like the soil used in making jars and pots, it's very much prone to erode. The issue of the area as well is that water comes down from the mountain. Most of the side of the mountain has small water falls and the like will appear during this rainy time and sometimes it can cause accidents in the road.

Lossing of electricity

When rain comes lossing of power is expected as well. Sometimes the officials will tend to turn it off to prevent accident or more damage. Other times it will be interrupted because of the damages already. Just like this morning the power was interrupted due to the long hours of raining. I just hope it won't be for too long since we just connected from the neighborhood who have electricity already. Whenever rain comes especially for too long we expect power interruptions and we tend to charge the things that needed electricity such as mobile phones, flashlights, and other gadgets.

Cold weather

Rainy days brings cold weather and more likely to make us stay in bed and do nothing. But for some of us cold weather is painful especially those who have health issues and undergone CS or Cesarian session from labor. My sister always complain when rain comes for she can't sleep will becomes of her CS operation. It hurts during cold weather. Her knees hurts as well during cold season. I don't know if she had bone illness but I guess she is more likely. If we notice people who have bone problem such as arthritis suffer during cold days maybe I presume since she is suffering such on cold times she had arthritis as well.

Accidents

Accidents is highly prone when rainy days than sunny days. It could cause a lot of factors may be from floods or from landslide. Either of the two the main reason is rain.

For some of us rain could be enjoyable but most likely rain could cause problems and worries especially to farmers and poor individuals. Those who have no good housing and shelter. Those people who are in the streets and people who have farms.

If rain continue for more days, I don't know if rice fields and other crops could be of use. So as the road could be accessible. It will be hard for me to go home for the coming weekend as well. Let's hope and pray for the rain to stop because there are a lot of people become affected.
