SOUTH KOREA IS "READY PLAYER ONE"
Could you imagine the look on Dad's face 25 years ago when some tech venture told the world that we all would communicate and send messages with out pen and paper, He would literally think your crazy.
But 30 years later the internet is a part of our daily communicative life. Blockchain, defi, smart contracts, all these new technology has made a huge change in our lives over the pass decade and still keeps on making more room for innovativeness. And there's been particular country that has been obsessed with advanced technology "South Korea".
And the start of these decade has been all about the the "Metaverse" and you have probably heard about it of recent, except you live under rock.
South Korea. A country well know for its pop culture, technological advancements, social platform status and of course gaming has had quite an astonishing year with extraordinary innovations building up the process into a new era. At the start of the year all these industries have been sky rocketing thanks to blockchain technology, NFTs, esports, gamification and a countless hand helping effort from the crypto market at large and South Korea has been on top of their game into bringing all these technological based platforms and industries into a 'Virtual world".
SOUEL MUNICIPAL METAVERSE
Souel metropolitan government(South Korean capital) are working towards developing a metaverse platform by the end of 2022 and its exclaimed to be in full use by 2026. By creating virtual offices, fintech incubators, business sectors and industries to meet the reality from the comfort of your homes(VR), also engaging in economic, cultural and tourist activities 'virtually'.
In December 2023, they plan on creating a "meterverse 120 center", where by virtual public service are given to citizens by avatars. It also plans to use AI technology to optimise city operation for building a "smart city"
Although the details on how the metaverse is to come in the nearest is still very unpredictable as is regarded by experts a "natural" leap by man. But as blockchain technology and NFT leading the way, social "metaverse" related platforms from South Korea such as Zepeto which is used to buy digital products such as Nike and Gucci (NFTs) and business related platform Infland which is used for office training, meetings and virtual conferences are already a paving way in the country and it could exponentially give South Korea the up hand in the next path of technological change in the world called the "metaverse".
