Fear is the ultimate game-changer, especially when it comes to making a decision that could impact your goals in life. You're either plunging feet first into something you know absolutely nothing about or you are sitting on the side of life wondering what the heck happened ten years from now.
Maybe it's that idea of failing that has you scared and running or maybe you are simply exhausted and not ready to face another challenge. I know what it's like and just how easy it can drain you.
But what if you could push past that fear. What if you could face that challenge head-on and live your life to the fullest. You can, but I guess the real question is what's stopping you?
I know with the covid crisis we have all been a little more cautious with our lives. Yet we cannot continue to live in fear for the rest of our lives. Instead of going through a daily motion of safe, we need to throw caution out the window and live in the moment. Live like there is no tomorrow.
Step up to the plate and bring it. Stop letting fear get in your way. Mistakes happen and are a learning experience. Learn from them and keep moving forward. Change a different direction if you must, but do it.
Not sure where to start?
Start with the smallest task and work from there. Once you have completed that task, move one to the next smallest task and so forth. If the tasks need to be broken down into smaller steps that are more manageable, do it.
Once you have completed one goal, move on to the next goal, starting with the smallest task again.
Taking tiny steps (tasks) to get to your ultimate goal lets you push past your fears without feeling as overwhelmed. You can do this. All you need to do is take that step.
Ready to get motivated?
Write Your Goals Down - Grab a pen and paper and write out each of your goals. Then take it one step further by breaking down each of your goals into the steps you know you will need to take to get there.
Take Those Steps - Stop making excuses. Stop worrying about the what-ifs. Give yourself 15 minutes of your undivided attention and start stepping.
Do it Often - Once you have spent 15 minutes working on your goal, repeat that habit daily. The more time you spend on the task (step) at hand, the quicker you get to achieve your goal!
Power Through it - When you are feeling overwhelmed or unmotivated, step back and take a small break. Go for a short walk, turn up the music, play a video game, or grab a mug of your favorite herbal tea before you get back to your goal!
Visualize it - To keep your motivation going, create a visual board. Cut out photos from magazines of your wish list, your dream goals. You can even add powerful words that inspire you to succeed.
Visual boards are a great way to envision what your future could become if you stay on track and stay focused!
