Goals. They are one of the hardest tasks to stay focused on, believe me I know.
There are days when you sit down and make a plan to accomplish every single goal you have written, only to find yourself sidetracked somewhere along the line.
This was supposed to be the year that you finally started working from home, or you made it a goal to work out and feel better about your health, or maybe you had planned to retire somewhere warm and beautiful. But then suddenly, life happened.
You had to buy a new hot water tank, your job went from 8 to 12 hour work days, the covid19 crisis reared its ugly head and everything went right down the toilet from there. You are overworked, overcommitted and overstressed!
And all of those goals you had planned to focus on, well they're now the furthest thing from your mind at the moment.
You may be telling yourself it's impossible, you have too much to do just on a daily basis alone to even think about focusing on your goals right now. Maybe later!
But the truth is, if not now, when? Because there will never be that perfect time to achieve your goals. Life will always attempt to get in the way. Not only do we have that daily to-do list to check off, we also have to take care of our families, go to work to a job we dread, and keep our house in order. It's a frustration no one wants to deal with.
Yet here's the thing, you are not alone. There's something else you need to know, you can turn the impossible into possible. You can find the time to focus on your goals without abandoning your other responsibilities.
But I also know trying to focus on those goals when you already have a full schedule isn't easy unless you have a plan in place.
It doesn't matter if your goal is to work from home, start working out, or saving for retirement, if you have goals, you can achieve them even when life gets crazy just as long as you have a plan.
A plan means the ability to see what you have to get done, where you are currently at and what you have already accomplished!
Once upon a time in my life, you would have never seen me writing my goals in a planner, or breaking them down into steps that were manageable even when my day was filled with work.
But fast forward to today where I am sitting here writing this article, my planner right in front of me, my goals ready to be focused on next!
That simple daily planner changed my life! I use it every day to track my work from home goals and love it. The greatest part about it is, I didn't have to break my budget for it!
Honestly guys, a planner never has to be fancy expensive, especially if you are on a budget. Why invest in a complicated planner when your life is already chaotic enough as it is! Plan your goals with the rest of us by keeping it simple!
