Get Flipd: Focus and Increase productivity
To focus and increase productivity (study) you better go get Flipd.
To be locked out of your own phone: Well I was watching the 9th season of The Blacklist series and I was automatically locked out of the MX Player App. I couldn't proceed with watching the movie.
Earlier this year, someone gave me a time management book, that says:
Identify specifically what takes up your time. Once you locate it, kill it or step up and be in charge.
And then came the app - Flipd
Flipd - Focus and Study Timer
Productivity and time tracker, stay focused with friends.
The app completely locks you out of your phone, based on the time you set. And no matter what you do you can't use any app, and no notification comes in until the set time has elapsed.
Whether you're studying for your exams or learning something new, you can turn off the distraction from your smartphone and make it into a sophisticated productivity timer & tracker with Flipd.
With several features like a timer, reminder, focus lock, background music, study challenge and competitions, live groups (communities), and productivity tracker among others, the app helps students and productivity enthusiasts to stay focused and increase their productive activities to reach their goals.
The Flipd Focus Lock
The focus lock mode locks all apps for uninterrupted focus.
This is my favorite feature of the app. If you just can't find a way to avoid distraction and keep your eyes off your phone (social media, games, movies, etc), then this feature is for you.
Once enabled it completely locks you out of all your distracting apps and games on your phone (no notifications from them too) within the set time. This will let you focus on your study or whatever task you want to accomplish at the time.
Even if you want to give up on your study or the task and go back to using your phone, you won't be able to access the apps and there is no feature to pause or turn off the lock mode while it's active. So you must wait till the time has elapsed.
There's a feature where you can exclude a particular app you really need from being locked during the focus lock mode. Maybe the ones you work with, But that's a premium feature. Also, the time limit for the free version is 40 minutes. So you can't flipd off for more than 40 minutes.
Just saved you 100s of hours, so if you want to do something about your time, you can get the app.
Flipd is available for both Android and iOS, to help increase your productivity
Android users can download the app here.
How much time do you spend per day on social media? Are you wasting too much time on Facebook or YouTube or Instagram? Does Twitter or LinkedIn consume more of your day? Does Tiktok or Snapchat distract you from studying? How about the urge to complete that interesting movie series or play games that take your focus away from completing your task for the day?
We now live in a digital era where our attention is constantly being drawn toward devices such as smartphones. While these gadgets are useful, they also come with risks such as addiction, distraction, and poor sleep habits.
Social media, movies, games, and gadgets can be a major distraction for many people (students). But you don't have to let them get the best of you!
So how can you balance social media or movie time and studying or completing your goals for the day? The answer lies in self-control.
Managing our time wisely is something that every person should strive for. The problem is that we often don't realize the importance of time until we've wasted it away. Time management isn't always fun or pleasant, but the benefits far outweigh the inconvenience.
Don't be afraid to increase your productivity. ensure you have a goal, and more importantly, a system to help you achieve your goal(s).
Flipd can take away the addictive distractions to help you regain focus and study more (increase productivity).
To increase productivity, you better get Flipd.
Wow! My first time hearing about such an app to make you study and focus on other productive things. This is incredible.
We all need time management and self control over things we should do on time and with such an app, it would chase away procrastination. Thanks for sharing.
