Rules Aren't For Politicians *There's a criterion one must follow to become a politician and fit for government public service posts. Every country has its own set of rules and the majority of are similar one must be a citizen of that country, one must be above 25 years of age, one mustn't have been involved in any criminal case, etc. And every politician must have these qualifications.* **Reality** **But the reality is different. In India, these are the set rules for someone to stand for any political post.** *Must be a citizen of India and registered as a voter.* *One must not be less than 25 years of age.* *Shouldn't be involved in any illegal and criminal activities.* And these qualifications increase with the increase in political posts like the chief minister, president, etc. *All the two points are followed by them but the last point, hell no. There are many FIR for criminal activities charged against them but the action taken is minimal and after some time the FIR record itself is removed. In case of multiple legal FIRs against a chief minister, he should be immediately removed from his post but in reality, what happens is that in the name of investigation and justice the police as well as the court takes years to conclude a judgment and they just increase dates or either delay the court meetings. Here every 5-year election of the Chief Minister happens and after their corrupt tenure their reality is revealed but till that time they have enough stories and proofs made to escape from such cases.* **While if you are in any government job a simple fake or real FIR (First Information Report) for fake reason can cost you your job or even make you unfit for getting any government jobs further on.** **I think I have mentioned above this in one of my posts still I would post again, the winning party of last previous 2-3 year's election, appointed a 10th fail political leader for a post of Education Minister in my state Jharkhand. Can you imagine this troll, I know we shouldn't judge people but here it's a very bad decision to put such an underqualified leader for such a responsible post. There are many more troll examples but I wouldn't talk more about them or I will lose some brain cells, lol.** **Fake Influencing And Promises** *Why do people vote mostly? Frankly speaking, people vote for a specific candidate based on his promises like many politicians in India use this approach that they will give employment when their political party wins this election and after becoming there's no word for it. India has a great unemployment ratio probably 2/10 are employed. And all politicians use this to their advantage. But one thing I don't understand is how people get fooled by the same fake promises every time.* **An Action Has Been Taken** *And against this fake influencing, this time words are reached to the apex and* ***Supreme Court of India*** *to stop such fake influencing and promises done by them and make strong rules and punishments for such parties and politicians. But I have very less faith that something good will happen over this as the dates are being delayed for no good reason. The people in power or electing for power doesn't really fulfill the eligibility criteria as you said they belong to criminality and corruptness
Judiciary is turning such a blind eye on them, it's a shame.
It is really bad when a rule is followed by a noble citizen but not by politician. We need to break this tradition and punish these culprits who are involved. Really sorry to hear this drama is found in India still.
Judiciary has the power to bring them in right track but they don't bother to look into this matter.
A couple weeks earlier, I learned that almost 50 percent of the leaders of BJP government has criminal charges, and almost 63 percent in the AAP govt. and more or less around 50 percent in the Congress leaders too.
Divided by political parties but united by crime and corruption.
In a least or developing country like ours(Phils.) ,unemployment is one of the major problem as well that has been included in every promises of politicians running for office but after winning it seems forgotten. Sad truth.
This requires heavy punishment for such fake promotions.
Everyone wants their country's government to be competent. Now if you look at the present day it will be seen that most of the incompetent people rise to the top political positions.
One thing these people know is corruption and mafia like presence. That's all to be a politician.

We all wanted good governance from the politicians, yet disappointment is what we get in return.
The misuse of position is so visible yet nothing happens against them.
It is unfortunate thing in our countries that politicians thinks themselves above the law and main reasons in corruption, crimes and illegal trade are these culprits. They know how to escape from law & inforcement.
That's why judiciary should make strict laws to grip on these corrupt humans.
What you wrote here is exactly true. Corrupt politicians are in rise due to which our country is stopped from becoming a developed one. In the five years tenure they loot maximum and make sufficient ancestral property for the next generation also. To make it worse, they will see to that they take the tenure of next 5 years also so that the country is ruined.
They say sweet words before election and after that do poisonous activities without worrying about the country and citizens who have trusted on them.
Politics often make complicate things and they are used to cheating the rules.
There's another supreme personality above them in democratic countries named as Supreme court which can easily punish and stop these if they want to but no everyone is involved in corruption.
It is not only a problem of any specific country. It's a problem of almost every third world countries. An imbalance system persists there for a long time and still running.
The most victims are the developing countries. Heavy adjustments and rules are needed to put a stop to them.

I don't know if they taught them the art of politics because they are all the same, full of lies, think they are above the law and rules and would always steal from the public coffers while providing little value in return. It's the same in Nigeria too. It's really sad.

The politicians of every country are similar to each other, they see the state's money as their own money, but as you said, this actually comes out of our taxes, that is, of the people. It has always been like this and will always be like this, unfortunately.
Most people still don't know that we pay these politicians and think of high class people while we are ones who employee them. If people have that information they wouldn't have let these politicians go such bossy and mafia like.

I was watching about politicians and even people in authority and local citizens earlier. Every story has it's side and as a "Christian" there are many things we should consider watching and judging the situations fairly. You're right, men's rules are not followed and in your country it's depressing to know 90% of them are corrupted of hurt or painful childhood programming, carried on until adult. As we are moving to more developments, it would be uplifting to let people know how taking responsibility now will help us removed the bad programming we had. Empowerment and building up is better than passing the issue to our elders, to the government's system, to our pasts, to what we don't have. It's better than complaining and not living fully.
