Would this be a good network setup? Well I do work in the IT for whole my life, my network related knowledge is below par. The oldest son already is complaining for a long time with the lag on his PS4. This due to the fact that it is connected through wifi. I know not the best option. Probably today the Playstation 5 for the youngest will arrive, so it is time to take some action and set-up a LAN network. Lan network is a big word, because I am only planning to pull some cables to their bedrooms. So, in the past days I have been reading a lot about these things and this is probably what/how I am going to do it. Cables! Currently both have a COAX cable in their bedroom but I do assume that this wont be used a lot. Even when they are older I doubt that they will watch TV like I did when I was young(er). So my idea is to replace that cable with a network cable. Due to the fact that the cable still has to pulled to those rooms, I do have the freedom to select the cable I do want. Quickly it was obvious that if I would pull a Cat5e cable, I would start immediately with creating a technical depth! So that wouldn't be smart. Also the Cat7 cable probably is to overpowered. So I will have to choose between Cat6 and Cat6a. It is also clear that it is best to take shielded cables. Also because I probably will install it in the living room behind the TV, where it will run in a tube next to a COAX cable. So I will purchase some CAT6a SFPT cable, which should do the trick and be a little bit future proof. Of course I will go for the solid version. Patch panel vs Keystones! Another decision I had to make if I did need a patch panel. In first instance this did look obvious but all/most patch panel are build for a server rack, which of course I don't have at home. Then I did stumble on the Keystone thingies. So in stead of a patch panel I will use keystones, there are small boxes where I can combined all starting cables in one box. So from the Ethernet Switch I will use some Cat6a Patch cables and connect those via keystones to the solid Cat6a cable, which are them pulled towards the desired rooms. Also a benefit from keystones is that I can buy a wall mount where I can easily add one network cable and a coax cable connector, which is ideal for the living room. Set-up So in a nutshell this should be the result. The only thing I did need to decide is if I will pull 2 cables per bedroom or just 1 and work with a hub or other switch. So here are the questions: Will this work? Did I miss anything? Is there any other solution I will have to take in mind? Thanks, Peter

Daily rewards and opening of 6 Chaos Legends Packs First let's start with the daily rewards. Just like in the past 2 days, the quest had to be battled out with neutral. This suits me pretty well, so the quest was pretty quickly completed. 6 cards out of 8 is a pretty decent catch. Too bad only one rare or better. Chaos Legend Packs Decided to purchase 6 packs and decided just to send them to the alt account and open them there! Pack 1&2 A golden Monk is never bad and a first Werding Warrior. Could be better but not too bad for a start. Pack 3&4 Howla, a golden foil summoner. That's a firm push in the back of the account. Does mean that I suddenly have a summoner on lvl 2. Also another General Sloan. Pack 5&6 Guess all my luck was used with the previous packs. Still great improvements for the alt account. Cheers, Peter

Trying to analyze my sleeping pattern with Apple watch and Pillow! I did get a Apple watch from my wife in the beginning of December. Wasn't so sure if I would like it or experience the benefits from it. But I was wrong, I does make you more aware of your condition, health but also about your sleep! There are plenty of app which does try to track your sleeping pattern and does try to analyse it. And I am amazed how well they do their job. I decided to try out Pillow, and quickly purchased the full edition to get more metrics. Their conclusion! To be honest, I knew this already. I go late to bed and wake up pretty early. I also just can't sleep out. Even in the weekends when nothing is in the agenda I am awake early and just want to get out of bed! If you do have a look at my optimal bed time, proposed by the Pillow app, one doesn't have to be a genius to connect the dots! Daily Analysis Each morning I do get an overview of my sleeping time, quality of sleep and other metrics! The basic overview looks like this! Great that I didn't have any awake time. Looks also like a regular night when I do look at the light and REM sleep, but a high amount of deep sleep. But this has been the case since I am monitoring my sleep pattern. Not only it does measure my sleep but also does keep track of my heart rhythm. While the average heart rate is okay for my age, the trend isn't exactly great. One does expect a decreasing heart rate until the lowest point and after that a slow increase so that it is around normal rate when you do wake up. This maybe is an indication that I don't sleep enough. Also crazy that they do try to measure your blood oxygen level. This could be better, and I do expect an increase here when I do stop smoking on the second of January! Trends! What I do find more interesting is the trend based on longer periods. Due to the fact that I don't have the app and my watch so long, at the moment it does only cover a little bit more than 2 weeks. It mostly does look consistent, which doesn't mean it is good or bad. I did know that I don't need a lot of sleep, but on average 5hrs 53 min is maybe too low. Surprised that my sleep quality is also pretty consistent. Still have to find a way to get it too 100% at least once. Also good to know that it also does track naps. As you can see on the fifth! Had to get used to wear a watch again and for sure during the nights, but I got quickly used to this again! For a number cruncher like me this is a great app! I don't know scientifically proven all those metrics are, but they do give you some insight in your sleeping pattern, quality and duration. No regrets that I did install the app! When you do have an apple watch, I can highly recommend Pillow! Just start with the free version, which will show you some basis metrics, good enough to start with. It is up to you if you do want to purchase the full version of the app. Cheers, Peter

Purchased some more Chaos Legend Packs Decided to purchase some more Chaos Legend Packs today. The idea behind this is that I would cross the 50 Chaos Legend Packs mark, which should increase my chances in the future airdrops. I do want to purchase more packs, but the big chunk will be purchased when the public sales does start! In stead of opening the packs with my main account, I decided to move them to my alt account, where I still do have lots of potions left. The cards will stay at the alt account, hoping to move back to Bronze II, which will give me again small pieces of DEC when winning a battle. I would like to move to Silver, but that would mean that I should start buying some summoners which isn't the plan at the moment. For some easier match, let's assume that my packs did cost $7.5 per pack. $4 for the pack and $3.5 for the vouchers needed. So the investment was $135. Let's see if I could recuperate most of it. The openings I decided to open them 2 packs at a time. I do love opening these packs! Opening 1: Well this wasn't a good start. Nothing special and worth only $8.3. So still a loss of $126.7 Opening 2: That's more like it with an Epic Gold! Combined this with a common gold and 3 rares and you do come to a value of $49.12. This does help a lot with decreasing the loss, which does stand now at $77.58 Opening 3: Sweet another Epic. Still only worth $7.84, decreasing my loss towards $69.74 Opening 4: Haha, this will be probably the sweetest opening from the set with a legendary Queen. That's more like it. This opening was worth $38.34, bringing down the initial investment towards $31.4! Opening 5 till 9 weren't great packs. Still combined it did turn my virtual loss into a virtual profit of $8.69 The last opening, number 10, was a little bit better. 5 rares and a summoner, always great. So I ended with a virtual profit of $26. Not only a profit was made, but this will also have an influence of course on my SPS airdrop, resulting in being able to stake more SPS, resulting in more vouchers, or at least decimals of it. Cheers, Peter

The opening of my first Chaos Legends packs (Splinterlands) Today was the day that the packs bought during the first pre-sale of the Chaos Legend editions could be opened. Not only that but also it is possible again to purchase packs again and the day of the first airdrop! I did purchase 12 pack during the pre-sale phase 1. All were bougth with SPS, which is airdropped to you on a daily basis, combined with 12 vouchers, which were also airdropped. I could have sold the voucher which were worth around $180. But decided to use some for the purchase of packs. With a cost of $4 per pack, these 12 packs did cost me in total around $228. Money which was for free. Airdrop Let's start with the airdrop. To be honest I didn't expect any cards from the airdrop. I only did purchase 12 packs and there is a 2% of getting such an airdrop card per pack purchased. So in fact I did have around 24% chance of getting such a card. The card in question is: Doctor Blight! But I was lucky and did receive one. Due to the fact that I not planning of buying these cards, there is no possibility to upgrade it. So I decided to put it on sale for $150. And it was quickly sold. So I did net $142 for it. Not too bad! So after this sale, my investment did drop to $86. The opening of the packs! Luckily I do have lot of potions. Per opening 2 potions are used, one to increase the chance on a legendary card, the other one to increase the chance of getting a golden foil! The opening of the first pack was immediately spot on! The second chest I did open, did contain a golden foil rare card. Good for $22. When I did open it, the value was $44, but prices are dropping fast! The opening of my third pack was even better! This one did contain a Golden common card but also a Legendary. The combined value of this pack is $36. Not to bad I guess. Pack 5 was another great pack! Another golden foil. Yeah, worth $17. It is adding up nicely. Too bad, the other 7 packs were just normal rewards. But it all added up towards $152. So overall a virtual profit of $66. Just the way I like it. Not only that but the combined burn value is 2365 DEC, which means a small extra boost for the daily SPS airdrop! I also forgot how much fun it was to open packs. Not I do have to control myself and when until the sale of the Chaos Legend packs will go into public sale. Each pack now would cost around 12 virtual $. $4 for the pack and a voucher which is needed to purchase cards does cost around $8. Cheers, Peter

Crypto Portfolio overview: November 2021 I did miss the update of October. Not that it was bad, not at all, but I was on a holiday and didn't find the energy after my holiday to write a decent one. But hey here is the November 2021 edition and it was a blast! Let's first start with my main goal for 2021, which was to pull back all my money investment in the past years out of crypto without hurting my portfolio too much. And this mission was completed successfully. In the past 11 months I did withdraw my initial investment out of Crypto, which does pass 5 figures in euro. So, now I am in the situation where I did dream of, I do have a portfolio which has some value and I am free riding the crypto train! Overall As you can see the Orange line did represent my fiat investment into crypto and is nicely below 0. The grey line is my profit/loss, which is the combination of the value of the portfolio and the money I did withdraw out of crypto. The blue line is the most simple one and is the value of my portfolio. And in the past 2 months this has doubled! So what a great month it was! Portfolio share And suddenly something happened, which I never imagined. More about that later. Last month the top 3 was: BTC: 25% KCS: 15% Hive: 12% So, like always Bitcoin was the king of my portfolio, but it has been dethroned. It didn't even drop just to second place, but was passed by and Hive and KCS. I did expect that KCS would be capable to take the first spot, but the rise of Hive did come as a complete surprise to me. The current top 3 is: Hive: 29.9% (+18%) KCS: 23.35% (+8.35%) BTC: 18.51% (-6.5%) It is not that I did sell BTC in the past month, the value of Hive just tripled in the past month, while KCS was capable of increasing 50%. But I am not counting myself rich, I do understand now that crypto has cycles. And it could crash hard. But my plan is to let it ride. I still have some stables on the side waiting on a moment to step it in. December Goal It is strange I would have thought that after running free on crypto my interest would decrease but the opposite is true! Crypto is really addictive. While the pressure to withdraw fiat out of crypto has decreased a lot, I still have the dream to withdraw on average 500 euro per month out of it. Still the idea is also to keep growing the portfolio, this is a thin line to balance on. The idea is that I do live now and the ultimate idea of stepping into crypto is to make life a little bit easier. But also to have some kind of retirement funds. This second goal has been renamed to Operation Andalusia. Would be great to be able to buy an apartment in the Southern of Spain with crypto. I also will try to be more active on the crypto related social platforms, the place where I did start in crypto. The money earned from blogging will stay in crypto and will be used to strengthen my portfolio. I will try to focus on 3 or 4 coins this month. These are KCS, Hive, ETH and Betfury. Cheers, Peter

Why people do look differently/wrongly at the Covid numbers? For once this will be a COVID related post. Like in most countries Covid does rules the news here in Belgium. So people do talk about it! These discussion vary from the restrictions in force, vaccinated or not and so on. I always try to stay neutral in these discussions because most of us don't have all the information to have a discussion based on facts and figures. I do have friends which aren't vaccinated but most of them are. Last Saturday just before the Football game of the oldest son, I asked a mom who recently had Covid if she was vaccinated or not! The answer was no, not vaccinated. Quickly followed by the fact that she was in the hospital and 6 out of 10 people with Covid were vaccinated so it doesn't help! And this is were she is wrong, but I quickly changed the subject because such a discussion would go nowhere! It is a fact that in Belgium we do have a vaccination rate of close to 87%. Let's suppose to make the calculation easy that we are with 10 million people older than 18 years in Belgium. That would mean that 8.7 million people are vaccinated, while 1.3 million isn't. Let's also take here reply that 6 out of 10 people in the hospital with covid are vaccinated, while the other 4 aren't. Any idea what is wrong with here conclusion? The answer is simple. 60% of the hospitalized people do come from 87% of the population, while the other 40% does come from 13% of the population. This does prove that the vaccination does work! If you add some more variables into the discussion and extend it to the people on intensive care, the figures clearly hint that if you are vaccinated that you do have much more chance to stay away from the hospital! I know that people do question the vaccination for several reason! But saying that it doesn't help is according to me a bridge to far! Cheers, Peter

The weekend is over, up to the next one! They do say that time flies when you are having fun and the past weekend did prove that this was correct! Not only a great weekend but also an expensive one! By the looks of it, I can divide the weekend in 2 main chapters! One is sports related, the other one is shopping related! Shopping! Like written above it was an expensive weekend! Last week they finally installed our garden shed. This 7 months after ordering it! So it was time to dress it up and order a lounge set. After browsing the internet I told my wife that it was better to go to a store because there is sometimes a complete difference between seeing something online or in real life. And this did pay off. My wife had 2 favorites and one in the shop it quickly showed that one of the favorites was to bombastic. So the decision was pretty quickly made. Still expensive! And with the winter being around the corner, I also needed to buy a new winter coat! A quality one, which also does look good, is apparently more expensive than I did imagine! So, let's hope I can use it a winter of 3 or 4. Than the oldest sun told us on Friday evening that his football shoes were wearing out. With a European size of 42, this mean buying them in the adult section, which does double the price! Like all kids he does choice by colors, back in my day football shoes were only black. Finding a black shoes these day is hard to find! So, he found 2 which were okay by price but weren't in his size. So the salesman was trying to hint us in the direction of pretty expensive ones. So I told him that maybe my son would like those, but that I didn't like the price at all. At the end we got a 30% discount, which did made us pull the trigger! Sports related! The youngest son, didn't had any games during the weekend, but the oldest one had 2. One outdoor (football) and one indoor (Futsal). Outdoor they had to face a team in form, winning their last 3 games. But they won with 5-3, what makes is special is that he did score from 25 meters. He doesn't score a lot as central defender! On Sunday morning, we had our first golf lesson in ages. One hour at the driving range, hitting around 100 balls! It was around a year ago that I did see my golf clubs! So of course the first attempt was an air shot! Had to make lots of changes to my grip and back swing. Will take some time before I will be used to that! But it was fun doing it again. The idea behind the winter lessons is that we will get back to the golf club. The kids do have an age now, where we can leave them alone at home for a few hours! The last sports related activity was the futsal game of the oldest! He only started to play indoor competition since this season. And 8 from the 9 players in his team are also rookies. And the competition is tough. They do play against top level teams, from which most players are already playing 2 or 3 years indoor. So it was a tough start with loosing all games so far! But each week progression was made. And this week it did show that hard work does pay off! They finally won their first game of the season. At the end of the game 3-1 was blinking on the score board! Also indoor he is a defender of the team, but also he managed to score. Not even once but twice. His best game of the season so far indoor! So proud dad here :) It is great to see how the team does make progress and how much support they do get from the club! Forza La Baracca! Cheers, Peter

Our City Trip to Malaga (Spain) During the past week we had a city trip to Malaga, Spain. Normally a city trip is with friends without kids, but due to the fact that most of our Holidays were cancelled due to the Covid Pandemic, we decided to take the kids with us. Our kids are used to Holidays in a all-in hotel with a swimming pool and lots of activities, there are used to the fact that we do have some road trips during these holidays. But this was a complete new experience for them! Day 1 Day 1 is like always a transportation day. We had the misfortune that our flight had a delay of one hour, but it could have been worse because a lot's of flights had a delay of over 4 hours up to 9 and some were even cancelled. Waiting on an airport is never lot's of fun and for sure not with a child of 9! Also no fun to keep the face mask on during the complete flight. But we made it. After landing and collecting out luggage we did pick up our rental car! It was only a short trip from the airport to the center of Malaga, where we did rent an apartment almost next to the Cathedral. We did reserve a table at the Hard Rock Cafe. Choice of the kids! After dinner we did make a small walk and it was great to see that lot's of buildings were in Halloween sphere and also most people were dressed up. In Belgium Halloween is nothing so this was a great experience. For sure when sitting on a terrace enjoying some drinks and see all those dressed up people! Day 2 During day 2, we did stay in Malaga and started of course with some Churros and Chocolate! It is cheap and tasty. Also make sure that you do eat churros where the locals go. Often this means a better price and better quality! After breakfast we did climb the Alcazaba! This do gives you great views over the coast line and the harbors! Also you can see how many cruise ships do touch Malaga. The rest of the day was just wondering around in Malaga center, some window shopping and lots of food :). Ending the day without the kids, who did stay in the apartment to have a late night drink. (This was just on the other side of the street). I always try out the local beers. And I must admit that I do like the Gran Reserva from Cruzcampo! Day 3 Day 3 was a surprise for the kids! We did book tickets for the Champions League game between Sevilla and Lille. So we drove to Sevilla during lunch time and did park the car under the stadium! During the day we did wander around Sevilla, which is also a great city but can't be compared to Malaga. And of course we did have to visit the place were some shootings were done for Star Wars! ***Plaza*** de ***España***  After again some great food it was time to visit the fan shop of Sevilla to be prepared for the game! Will try to upload the video of the singing of the club song by the complete stadium! Really a great moment! After the game we did go to eat somewhere because it was too crowded in the parking lot. We did arrive back in the apartment at 2.30 am! Day 4 Our last full day in Malaga. It was time do something again for the kids after sleeping out! So we went to the beach Malagueta. While they were playing some football, we were enjoying a beach bar! We did end the day by going to an outlet store nearby! Day 5 We had to be at the airport at 5 pm. So we decided to visit Marbella. Not the rich part of the city, but the old part. Back home we had to turn on the heating. Going from over 20 degrees to below 10 isn't funny, but it was a great trip! The kids loved it and for sure the Champions League games! Up to the next one :) Cheers, Peter

100K BFG (Betfury) tokens reached! Well a few weeks ago I started with the idea to acquire 100K BFG tokens before the year was over. The idea behind this is to have a decent base for some passive income in 2022. I did start with 20150 BFG in the 22th of September. The goal was to win/earn 1038 BFG per day, which would give me 100K BFG before the year was over. But look at that. Now at the 8th of October, the mission is already completed. Not only did I reach my initial goal, I also did swap some into fiat, DEC (Splinterlands), ETH, BTC, BCH and KCS. At the moment I do have 90K BFG staked in my account and 10.5K in the farm. The farm is running at it's end and has for the moment an APR of above 90%. I also do notice that the daily divs I am getting is climbing. Not so fast, but for the moment it does go north, which is the right direction in cryptosphere! This morning for the first time I did earn more than 5 euro ($6) as dividend, bringing the monthly total so far on 33.51 euro ($40). Imagine if I would be able to earn 5 euro ($6) average on a daily basis next year, that would mean a yearly income of 1825 euro ($2190). Which would have some impact on our lives. I still have the dream, that I will be able to withdraw 500 euro per month in 2022. And this of course is a firm push in the back! If I can keep up this pace, the dream of getting all my fiat investment into crypto back in real life could be accomplished this year. And this without selling a major part of my portfolio! How great would that be! I will slow down the staking of BFG at the moment and will focus more and the swapping of the daily earnings into fiat and other crypto! If I could add 500 BFG on a daily basis, I would come close to 150K BFG before the year is over. Now the most important thing is to not loose it! With my rules in effect, I should have some protection against this. But every day I do play, is a day closer to a big loss. And this day will come for sure, it is the question how I do cope with it and how much I will loose when going into tilt mode! I am also close to another dilemma. The value of my BFG staking is also as big as my remaining fiat investment into crypto! So I should handle it carefully! So, if you do want to have a nice passive income I can advice staking BFG. It can be purchased on the markets ( https://biswap.org/?ref=c27f206d3d82e0cd0330) or earned by playing on Betfury (https://betfury.io/?r=602e3adb18edfa1999ca8264). Hey if I am really lucky it can even give my challenge of owning 2.5 BCH before the year is over a firm push in the back. Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

Crypto Portfolio overview: September 2021 The last day of the month, so it is time to write down my portfolio overview. Like almost all month I did set some targets I did want to reach. So let's find out if and how I did reach them! September goals! Looks like it did set 4 goals. The most important one was to decrease my fiat investment with 10%. The ultimate goal is to be free rolling on crypto. I did knock it out of the ball park. I was able to decrease my fiat investment with 48%. So I am getting a lot closer to my ultimate goal. Another goal was to slowly increase my stake into ETH. The idea was to reach 0.6 ETH. And I also was capable of completing this. I now hold 0.618 ETH. That was increase of 32%. While I won't make it a goal for next month, but still I want to crawl closer to 1 ETH. The third goal was to have 37500 BFG (Betfury) in my portfolio. The idea is to keep it growing so that I can have a decent daily passive income in 2022. But during the month, I did change the goal from 37500 BFG toward 100K before the year is over. At the moment I do have around 70K BFG, so mission completed for the month but not the year. The last goal was Hie related. Starting the month with 3440 Hive I did want to pass the 4000 Hive before September was written to the history books. And I now have 4107 HIVE, an increase of 19%. Overall August was the first month that my virtual profit did have 5 digits and luckily I was able to increase this virtual profit a little bit more. While the overall value of my portfolio only did increase with 1%, the virtual profit did increase with 24%. This of course because I did decrease the fiat investment a lot. The main focus for next month will be to have the orange line as close as possible to the 0 mark. I won't succeed with this next month, no doubt about it. But it would be great if I can pull this off before 2022. Also I did say goodbye to Neblio and XLM. Did sell them just on the right time. Portfolio share! Last month the top 3 was: BTC: 27% KCS: 20% Hive: 10% This month the portfolio share pie looks like this! BTC did drop another 2%, KCS even 5 % but Hive increase 2 %. ETH ends up just besides the podium! Let's have a more detailed look at some tokens! SPS (Splinterlands Governance token) Last month it did have a share of 2.8% as newcomer, but it is climbing the ranks fast. It did climb from position 9 to just within the top 5 with a share of 9%. This due to the conditions of the pre-sale of the Chaos Legend packs. While my holdings did grow with 110%, the overall value did increase with a massive 238%. I do expect that the value will drop in the coming weeks and maybe almost vaporize in November! We will see how that turns out. I will use some of the daily airdrop to increase my holdings and use the rest probably to buy some Chaos Legends packs with a 10% discount. BCH I wasn't too active on noise and read in the past month, so my holdings didn't increase a lot. Only an increase of 18% in holdings. It would be great if I can have 2 BCH in my wallet before the year is over. I know what I have to do to achieve that! October The main focus in October will be fiat related. Like I did write above the fiat investment has to decrease even further. I don't expect to convert as much as this month to Fiat, but I do hope that it will be set on 0 before the year is over. Also I will focus on gathering 1ooK BFG. Maybe also a small increase in ETH and of course Hive. Will be happy with 0.7 ETH and 4250 Hive. I won't use a lot of DEC or SPS to be swapped to Hive, so I also know what to do there! Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

Update on the 100K BF challenge! I do hope that I don't Jinx myself by writing this post. Time will tell. On the 22th of September I started the challenge to have 100 K BFG before the year is over. The idea behind it, is to have a nice and decent daily passive crypto income. By holding BFG, you do get a share of the daily dividend pool of the gamblin dapp Betfury. 100K BFG would earn this at the moment: When I did start the challenge I did have 20150 BFG. Spread out over 2 accounts. To reach my goal I should earn/win a little bit less than 800 BFG per day! Let's see where I am at the moment. First of all, I did remove all the BFG from the alt account into the main account. There is no use to have 2 accounts. And better to have a bigger stake on one account, the 2 smaller stakes on 2 accounts. We all know that withdrawing crypto from a dapp always does cost something. So by going back to one account, the withdrawal limits are reached faster and I will reduced the amount of fees I have to pay! I also decided to put some BFG in the farm. At the moment the farm has an APR of 88%. So that is just free BFG every day, of course the downside is that the BFG which has been parked in the farm, doesn't give me any dividends! Currently only 8750 BFG has been put in the farm by me. But the plan is to increase this on a daily basis. Of course only if I do win some BFG on that day! The main account is doing great. Let me rephrase that to superb! It now has 61000 BFG in the account. This entitles me already on the following daily rewards: Not bad in my opinion. Already close to one USDT per day. So in total I do have 69750 BFG in my pockets. But it is still at risk because I do gamble with the BFG to reach my goal. My strategy can be found here: https://read.cash/@TheCryptoGambler/the-chase-for-100k-bfg-fa650f55 I know that a next loosing day is coming closer each day I do play. There is no problem with that as long as I do stick to my strategy. I have been thinking to increase my stake, but I decided that I am not going to do that! It is a marathon, not a sprint. My total holding could have been higher! But I also did convert some of the profit into fiat, DEC and ETH. The idea is that from next year, the earnings can be used to increase the stake into other cryptos. And of course into other gambling dapps. But first let me try to complete the challenge and to reduce my overall fiat investment into crypto to 0! Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

The chase for 100K BFG! I like to create challenges for myself. That is something that keeps me going. The idea behind this challenge is to create a nice and decent passive income for 2022. If I succeed, great, if I don't no harm done! But I really believe that I should be capable of completing this challenge! BFG? For the ones who don't know BFG, let me explain this to you! Just like on almost all crypto gambling dapps the player can earn some native tokens when gambling. On Betfury this is BFG. For each BFG you have do you do get a share of their profits. So earning some passive income. Of course the more BFG you have, the bigger you share of the profit is. As you can see on the image on the left, 100K BFG would earn you around $5 each day! Just for doing nothing but having it staked! Of course this can fluctuate! Due to the fact that each day people are mining these tokens, your income will probably decrease when the tokens are just staked and not growing. But those are problems (if it is a problem) which have to be solved when the problem occurs. It will be hard enough to gather the 100K BFG. The road to the 100K BFG! So the goal has been set, now it is time to determine how to get there. I do have a head start because at the moment of writing this article I already have 20K BFG. Not so bad to start with. This 20K is spread out over 2 accounts. With one account I will be playing/gambling with my BFG on the other I will try to just stake it and the idea is not to take any risks with the BFG there! But also I will use some of my other passive income to purchase some BFG on the market. This will be around 1000 BFG per week, which isn't a lot but will certainly help. When the saving account will have 12.5K BFG, I will also start to put some BFG in the BFG farm. Hey a BFG farmed, is a BFG less I need to earn! But my main income will be from gambling with my BFG on my secondary account! I could use gamble with TRX, which would earn me some BFG, but I will try this route. Which is and could be extremely risky. But I do have faith in my approach! To have 100K BFG at the first of January, I will need to earn around 800 BFG per day, which is feasible! There will be days that I will earn more, but there also will be days that I will loose some BFG. That is part of the game, but I need to make sure that it is nothing more than that and chasing it back! Earning 800 BFG per day isn't so hard, but keeping that profit is much harder! Dice! I will solely gamble on the Betfury Dice game. I will use some kind of delayed martingale! I will start with a bet of 10 BFG and will start with over 4 or under 95. At the moment when I do have 3 rolls in a row above or below 50, I will increase my bet to 20 BFG to the opposite side (Over 52 or Under 48). When I do win, I will o back to the over 4 or under 95. If I loose my bet, I will play the same bet again but then with a double ante (so 40 in this case). This will repeat itself until I did win or reach my stop bet which is 1280 BFG. After this stop bet, I will just return to my base bet. I will start each day with 12.5K on my gambling account. So if I do reach my stop bet, my base will still be a healthy 10K. This is a mental thing. But also because I do believe that winning 2560 BFG back isn't so big a hurddle as going bankrupt! I just need to play with strict discipline. I only need around 4000 winning bets of 20 BFG to reach my goal :) Easy peasy isn't it? At the end of each day I will withdraw all BFG above 12.5K. Most of it, will be moved to the savings account or to the farm, but probably I will also swap some into TRX. Which then will be moved to fiat and frozen as TRX for some extra daily income. These swapped BFG will not be taken into account in this chase. This is just collateral damage :) I will try to post a weekly update about my challenge! Feel free to try out my system on: https://betfury.io/?r=602e3adb18edfa1999ca8264 I am sure you won't regret it! Cheers, Peter

Crypto Portfolio overview: August 2021 Another month did fly by, so it is time to create my portfolio overview of August 2021! I can already tell that I am very happy with the past month! Overall For the first time ever I can report a virtual profit of 5 digits. For me it is still a virtual profit because as long as it isn't back in my real bank account, I still consider it a loss! There are 2 main reasons that I did knock open the door to 5 digits profit. First of all is that I was able to decrease my fiat investment into crypto with another 30%. This is obviously visible in the orange line above. Of course the rise in value of most tokens also did help! I finally also said goodbye to some tokens, but there are still way too many in my portfolio. I am tempting to say goodbye to Neblio and XML. For sure Neblio wich is only 2.96% of it's all time high. The worst performing coin in my portfolio! Portfolio share pie! The share of BTC did drop with 5%. I am not worried because of this, because I do want to spread my risks. It is not that BTC didn't increase in value or that no BTC was added to the portfolio, but other tokens just got more attention. Also some new tokens were added to the portfolio, like SPS (Splinterlands Governance Tokens). SPS does have a share of 2.8% after one month! KCS During August I finally reached my goal of having 300 KCS in my portfolio. And at the moment that was a good gamble. While my holdings only did increase with 13.21%, the total value did jump 54.53%. I am not done with accumulating KCS but in September it would get the highest priority! FUN Fun is another token I do have to mention. Despite a small increase of only 5.57% in holdings, the overall value did increase with 113.78%, placing it 9th in the share pie. Just like in the past month I will buy Fun with the earnings on https://freebitco.in/?r=41852558 NEO One of my all time favorite tokens. At it's highest I did have 31 NEO, but in the past year I was taking some profit. Recently I started to accumulate it again. During August I did increase my holdings with 3 NEO (+18%), but it's overall value did jump with 73%. With NEO 3.0 coming up, I do expect it to keep growing in value. I would like to have 31 NEO again, but also this token won't get the highest priority! BCH The fastest growing share in July! During August my goal of obtaining 1 BCH was reached. This mostly was earned on Read and Noise. Since I did reach my goal, the progress did slow down again. It will keep on growing and I still hope to reach 2 BCH before the year is over! https://read.cash/@TheCryptoGambler/crypto-portfolio-overview-august-2021-97eb9e26 And https://noise.cash/u/Fullcoverbetting September It is always hard to set some goals and targets. And it is also hard in cryptosphere to make the right decisions. I am also constantly in a split between re-investing into crypto and pulling back to fiat! Fiat I don't expect to pull back to same amount to fiat as in the past month. I will try to withdraw 10% of my outstanding fiat investment. This way there should be enough left over to re-invest into crypto! ETH Ethereum will get the highest priority. I am slowly accumulating towards 1 ETH. This won't happen next month. For sure not. The goal is to add some more so that I at least have 0.6 ETH. My original goal for this was 0.5 ETH. But I will try to stretch it, so that I have again the same stake in ETH as in the beginning of the year! BFG For Betfury I will set a very challenging goal. I would like to have 37500 BFG before October. While this seems a lot, I do think that it is possible to reach it. I do need to earn them around 600 BFG per day! Not impossible, but also risky business. I never have farmed BFG before but I did start yesterday. I will try to add 500 BFG to the farming each day, until I do have 12500 BFG in the farming pool. This will of course help me a little bit with reaching the goal. https://betfury.io/?r=602e3adb18edfa1999ca8264 HIVE The last goal is to reach again 4000 Hive. Currently I do have 3440. Last month I was able to add 489 Hive to my Hive account. So also a feasible goal. Most earnings from playing Splinterlands will be converted into Hive. The long term goal here for the remainder of the year is to be back above 5K Hive. So lot's of goal. And like always the split between Fiat and re-investing. We will see how many of the goal I can reach and which will be out of reach! Time will tell! Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

Decided to move my dice operation from Wink to Betfury! Wink was the first TRX gambling dapp I really used. Okay I had some first experiences with some gambling dapps on the Steem/Hive blockchain! But after switching to TRX for my gambling affairs. Wink became my preferred gambling dapp. This was in the day, that you did earn Win but just staking Win. The days that they still had an hourly leader board for their in house games. It didn't matter when I did logged in, it was always full of people. But times do change! Until today I was still building up my Dice stack! Indeed until today! Today I look at my overview from the Dice income and to be honest it is just below par. I am not holding so much Dice, only 5614 worth $130. So it was time to ask myself why I do keep playing there! Besides an occasional profit, there aren't any benefits anymore. Even worse, because you do play out of your wallet your Energy and Bandwidth is just getting crushed. Meaning that moving TRX around, which I do a lot always does cost me small bits of Tron! So it was time to reevaluate and see if there are much better options! And of course there are! Don't get me wrong, I do still believe that there is a bright future for Wink, for sure in the Live and sports betting section! So, I will keep my sports business there but did already find a new home for my in-house game betting! Mostly dice! And I also still will accumulate some of their Life tokens, because they do give me a div of 8 TRX per day! Betfury! I have been playing on Betfury for a long time and they never let me down! They do what they promise! Like their token listing, adding new games, game supplier or like recently their sportsbook! In my opinion it is the rising start in the crypto gambling world! So, why will I be moving my dice operation to there? Well there are lots of reasons for that! The daily leaderboard They do have multiple leaderboards. A leaderboard is great, not for me directly but for the one who do hold their native token! A leaderboard makes people play and sometime more than they do want! People do want to get some free BTC, because it is payed out in BTC. I did reach the payed places on the daily in-house game leaderboard yesterday, which was good for 8K sats. Not a lot, but hey I won't mind any free BTC. Not only they do have a leader board from in house games, but also for the slot machines! Not that I am into that, while I do love to play them from time to time. Again it is good for the dividends! Currencies! Not so much important for me, because all my gambling related activities are paid with TRX. But they do support a shitload of coins. They have all the bigger ones, the bigger ones running on Ethereum. Probably you do have at least one or two coins in your wallet which they do support! But like I wrote, I do play with TRX. It is cheap and easy to move around and they do support it! Also their withdrawal limit for TRX is only 0.1 TRX and there is no withdrawal fee! In contrast to Wink, you do have to deposit the coin into your wallet at Betfury. So son't leave to much on it, if you are not planning to play. Not that I don't trust them, but this is one of the top 10 rules in crypto! The advantage is that no matter how much you play, their is no energy or bandwidth cost involved! What is also important with the increased value of almost all coins is that the minimum bet isn't too high. On wink regardless of the value of TRX for instance, the minimal bet is always 10 TRX. If you do have lot's of them, this maybe isn't a problem, but for most of us it is! So for each coin allowed to wager with on Betfury, the minimal bet is only 0.00000001 of that coins. Regardless if you play with Bitcoin, TRX or even BCH! Their BFG token! Just like on Wink you do earn a dividend token. On Wink it depends on which game you play, but on Befury this is always BFG. BFG is listed on some exchanges, but if they manage to get it on Binance for instance, than the sky is the limit! For the moment the value of BFG is $0.03172. In the past week I did earn 5000 of those. Good for a value of $158. Not bad isn't! I do challenge you to earn the equivalent of Dice tokens on Wink. Not going to happen in a week time! Also regardless with which coin you do bet, you will always get BFG. When earning them, they are automatically staked. And there is no withdrawal period. By staking you do earn a share of their daily dividends. At the moment I do have 13895 BFG, which earns me the follow tokens per day! BTC: 0.00000502 ETH: 0.00003764 TRX: 2.42 BNB: 0.000711 USDT: 0.205 That's more than a dollar a day! Which always does come in handy! Cashback! And there is more. We all have bad days when gambling. In that case Betfury is nice enough to give back some of your losses. How much does depend on the level you do have. It does start with a 1% cashback and can go up to 25% if you are a big big g gambler. I do get 7%, which isn't bad! Mobile! One of the problems, among others I had with wink, is that it isn't available via mobile! This means that I could only play there when I was at home behind my laptop! There is no problem for that with my sportsbetting, but it is great to earn some TRX while waiting some where! Their website does work flawlessly on my mobile! So another plus for Betfury! The plan of attack! I did move 5K TRX to Betfury. I will try to gamble as safe as possible. We always need to remind ourselves that gambling can be a risky business. It is just like sportsbetting. There is no problem with making a profit, everybody can, but keeping the profit and to become a long term gambler is only for the happy few! The goal is to earn between 250 and 500 TRX per day. Everything I do reach an amount above 5250 TRX, everything above 250 TRX will be moved to my own Tron wallet again! This TRX will be used, to create a TRX war chest, convert some into fiat, fund my Splinterlands War chest and to increase my holdings into other crypto coins! My base bet will be 5 or 10 TRX. And will work from there! We will see how far it will bring me, but at least I will earn some BFG with very bet I place, which has a value of $0.03183. At the moment I do have 11500 of those, and it would be great if I could bring this to 20K! Feel free to join me on Betfury! https://betfury.io/?r=611f60ad514d550bfef35bdb

Another crypto milestone: Again 300 KCS We all have coins which we do love. Coins in which we believe. Coins that if they accomplish what they promise will mean a big jackpot for us! For me, one of those coins is KCS! KCS is the native coin of the Kucoin Exchane. I always did see Kucoin as the small brother (from another father) of Binance! They do look similar. The only thing Binance has at the moment which Kucoin doesn't have (yet), is an own chain! ****For the record: This is not financial advice!**** Staking! KCS was one of the first cryptos I did purchase and I did keep on accumulating since then! In the beginning of the year I did pass the 300 milestone already, but when the price spiked, I did sell 80 of those. This was enough to have my complete investment back. A month later I did start accumulating KCS one again. And today is the day I was waiting on, I do have to admit that I did move some tokens around to reach my 300 mark! The great thing about KCS is that is does share the fees they do earn on the exchange with the KCS holders. You only do need 6 KCS to have a share of the pie. They do pay out the divs, exactly in KCS. The more trading is done on Kucoin, the bigger the pie is. At the moment I do earn around 0.07 KCS per day, which is around $0.8. With 135 days left in the years, I will earn another 9.45 KCS for free! It all compounds! That's an extra $142! But that for sure will not be the end station! Value The all time high of KCS is $21.14. At the moment it is trading at $11.58. That is around 55% of it's all time high! If it will ever reach it's all time high again, than my KCS will be worth a whopping $6300. But there is more. I still do believe that even the all time high can be broken. Like I did write above, it is more or less the small brother of Binance. And the value of BNB did sky rocket when they had their own chain. The Binance Smart Chain. Suppose, let's just suppose that Kucoin will launch an own native chain and that due to this the value will spike. Not up to the level of Binance, but let's say 1/6. Binance today is trading at $430. 1/6 of that is $71. So suddenly my holdings would represent than $21000. What about that! I know there are or lots of ifs in the scenario, but in crypto everything is possible! Roadmap! Since a few weeks KCS is back in the top 100 of the coinmarketcap. Currently sitting at the 96th place. According to their roadmap they want to be in the top 50 before the year is over and in the top 30 at the end of next year! If they want to be in the top 50, they will have to triple their value before the year is over. And probably more because the other coins are sitting and waiting to grant them the 50th spot! Even funnier is that they mention that they do want to be in the top 15 within 3 years! That would mean the current price times 12! So it would be trading around $120. Even if they only would reach spot 75 on the CMC, it would mean that their value would have to increase with 50%! Another thing which is in their favor is the new Binance KYC policy! Lot's of people will start searching for a new exchange. And due to the similarities between the two. KCS would be a great fit! So, let's say that KCS is one of my dark horses in my crypto portfolio! It has a share of around 20%. But that should normally decrease because I will stop accumulating it and give other projects some yield. So, if you are looking for a new Exchange, which also does gives something back or looking for a new coin to invest in. Why not do some research about the Kucoin Exchange and the KCS token. And yes Kucoin does support BCH :) You can find more information about it here: https://www.kucoin.com/ucenter/signup?rcode=7J4wKv&lang=en_US&utm_source=friendInvite Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

Buying some luxury goods thanks to crypto! Well I have extracted some money of out crypto and did convert it into fiat! After so much time spend on various blockchain thins, it will time for the blockchain to give me something back! No worries not a single BCH was extracted from cryptoshpere. Still trying to accumulate 2 BCH is that will be ever possible! So most money I did withdraw did came from Splinterlands (https://splinterlands.com?ref=fullcoverbetting) and from some gambling on Wink (https://www.wink.org/?r=fullcoverbetting). One is a long time investment which is really paying off at the moment, while the other as we all know is risky business! But I do try to be careful with the gambling if that is possible! https://old.wink.org/?r=fullcoverbetting So after decreasing my fiat investment into crypto with another 20% it was to to use the money for some extras! The office! It was time to invest into a good office chair. I have been working from home since the first of March 2020. Since then I have visited the office from the customer only once. The office of my employer I haven't seen since then! I already made some investments into a new monitor (also paid with crypto) and some desks so that I could make my own corner office! Still with no monitor, but believe me it is there! As you can see on the picture I am sitting on a dining chair. Not very ergonomic! So it was time for a real office chair! We have been following on auction site for quite some time, so it was time to try out luck. The misses did pre-select some chairs and I started to follow the auction. And to my surprise we did win. Win is a strange word for an auction. Winning does imply for me that you do get something for free or something more than you did put into it! But I am drifting again! I can pick it up next Monday! Looking forward to that! Sitting back and relax will get another dimension! If a meeting is boring, it could become a relaxing hour or so! The present for the misses! Hey I am not a selfish person. So it was time to gift the misses something she did want for a long time but never did purchase due to the cost! To thank here that she let me invest into crypto (she has no idea how much it was) and not being bothered when I am playing again Splinterlands or writing another boring post, even she didn't mind the occasional picture to be posted! I did purchase her the chair of her dreams! Yes it was costly, but that's one of the reason I did step into crypto. To see if it could make our life a little more enjoyable. And finally after 4 years, things are starting to pay off! I have no idea how long this will last, but I will take what I can get without crushing my portfolio! Yes, the growth will stall a little bit, but we also have to remember that we do have real lives! So the only things she has to do now, is to purchase the footstool with does come with it! But also for that, money is on it's way! We can also pick up this beauty on Monday! She already know the location! For the chair she will be able to watch the birds in the garden and the deers if they pass by! And if football is on the tele, which euhm happens a lot here, so can sit there relax and read a book or play some wordfeud! Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

Football is getting an expensive sport! (Total cost for both kids: 4 BCH per season!) I am not talking about the professional teams or what it does cost to support you, but I am talking about having a son or daughter who want to play football! Here in Belgium Football is more or less the biggest sport, followed by cycling! I did play it when I was young and both my sons are also playing it! There are a few days left to pay the membership fee for both sons, and I will cost us a bug chunk of BCH! While of course I have no clue if it was also take expensive when I was a kid, but I am pretty sure it wasn't. Back in those days every town had its own team. Ran by volunteers and supported by the local stores and small business men. You did have to pay a almost negligible membership fee. Back in those days the outfit for the games did belong to the club. After the game it was all put back in the bag of the team and the next game all clothes were freshly washed! There was no entry fee for the parents to pay to see their kids giving it all! What are the membership fees? First we do have to make a distinction between both sons! The club they are playing in does have teams registered in 2/3 different competitions. There is the lowest division which normally only includes nearby teams, you do have a step higher which are the team who do play at state level and the highest allowed division for their club is at interstate level! Depending in which division the team of your kids play, the membership fee is different! This is due to the fact that the lower ranked teams only have 2 practice sessions per week, while the team in state and interstate competitions do have 3 practice sessions. And of course how higher the team plays, the more expensive a coach is. They do need to have some UEFA licenses to be allowed to train a team at interstate level! The membership fee for the youngest is 0.57 BCH! The membership fee for the oldest one is a whopping 0.8 BCH. Like I wrote that is just the membership fee. So we do pay 1.37 BCH in total in membership fees! Of course these fees do differ from team to team. A lower ranked team has a lower membership fee, a much higher ranked team also has a lower membership fee. But it are the teams in between where the cost is pretty high. The lower ranked teams don't have qualified trainers while much higher ranked teams do have lots of sponsorship which does make then capable of asking a lower fee, all of the players are scouted! The team where my sons do play in such a middle team. They do need qualified trainers and due to covid there isn't so much support of the local stores! We never choose this team because it is a middle team but because is was the closest team! We do have one of their practice fields as neigbour! Other costs! But there are lots of other costs! Let's start with the clothing! They are forced to buy a complete clothing package which does cost 0.11 BCH. Two are needed here, so another 0.22 BCH added to the cost! They are free to wear any football clothes to the training. But with 3 and 2 practices per week, you do need to have more than one of course. Also here in Belgium the weather is completely different in all seasons. It can be boiling hot or freezing cold! So even when buying these clothes at discount and at the right places, it will probably do cost you around 0.22 BCH per kid! So another 0.44 BCH added! But hey they also do need football shoes! The youngest one still can buy kids shoes which are of course less expensive than football shoes for adults! But the oldest one has size 41 and has to shop in the regular section already! Let's say 0.08 for the youngest and 0.16 for the oldest! So the total cost is running to the sky! Okay, you do play a lot of money to let them practice their hobby, so when the time comes and they do have a game. You do want to be there and cheer for them! Of course mam and dad want to be present! For each home game we do have to pay 0.018 BCH to get in and watch the game. 16 home games per season, does mean an extra 0.288 BCH! And these are alone the home games, the away games do cost on average more or less the same. So another 0.288 BCH added! See it is already ticking! A game does take a long time. They have to be at the pitch an hour before the game. That is time that the parents do need to kill! The games itself is for the youngest 4 times 15 minutes with a break of 15 minutes and for the oldest one 4 times 20 minutes with a break of also 15 minutes. So you do get some drinks! At our club a drink does cost 0.0035 BCH. Suppose that both parents drink two and of course the kids also do want a drink after the game, which does cost 0.0175 BCH. 32 games per season, per kid. So 32 * 2 * 0.0175 is another 1.12 BCH. Of course this is something we do choose! So if we do add everything up, we do get the following cost per season: Membership fee: 1.37 BCH Clothing: 0.22 + 0.44 = 0.66 BCH Shoes: 0.24 BCH (if you are lucky, sometimes they do need 2 pair in a season0 Entry fees: 0.576 BCH Optional drinking: 1.12 BCH Total cost: 3.966 BCH. Let's make it 4! If you don't want to or can't afford that support your kids then the bill still only stops at 2.17 BCH! Which is a lot! So, it looks like football is turning into an expensive sport! This of course also does increase the competition between the kids and honestly also between the parents! We are lucky that in both teams the parents are fair and square. We don't have any Messi or Ronaldos in the team, at least in the eyes of the parents! If a kid did play superb everybody is talking about it, but if a kid didn't play that well none of the parents are offended when we do talk about it! And that's the way how it has to be! Not only does it cost a lot of money, but it does also cost lots of time! Away games from the oldest are at least a 30 minute drive! Still I am happy that my kids do practice a sport regardless of the money it does cost us! To be honest I am a little bit surprised by the overall cost of a season! Like written we could make it cheaper by not drinking at the game or not to watch the games, but we feel obliged to do so and we also enjoy watching our kids giving the best of themselves regardless of their qualities! I didn't even add summer and Easter camp, which they both normally attend! That would have added another 0.83 BCH! With this total cost, I can imagine that some people do find it hard to let their kids play football! But as a parent you also do try to give your kids the best possible life! Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

Went to a musical. I kid you not! I am not a bi fan of Musicals. But the wife is. And in life you do have to give and take. So it was a no brainer to go to a Musical with the wife. We did buy the tickets more than 2 years ago, when Covid was still unknown to us. The reason was that we did see another musical of them 3 years ago, which was about the WW II. Another reason to buy a ticket is because one of our friends is an extra! Too bad for us she did stop with being an extra during Covid! Daens! This time the musical was about Daens. Daens was a Catholic Priest in Aalst from 1890. During that period that was a lot of poverty in Aalst. The rich were just exploiting the poor! There was lots of kids labor who did have to work from 6.3 am up to 8 pm, and this for almost nothing! Lots of kids died in that period from starving or due to work related accidents! And Daens was the one standing up for them! He did create his own political party which was a mix of the Socialists and the Catholics. Due to this he was banned from the Church! His goal was equal voting rights for all men (back in those days there was no sign of voting rights for women yet) So this was the story line! The Musical! First of all let me tell you that this was the first time since Covid that I did see so many people. I do believe there were around 1000 people in the stands! It was also hot in the theater and we were forced to keep on our month mask! While I did find the Musical on itself mediocre, I was against surprised by everything which was happening! Image that you sit in a stand which is constantly moving around. There are 8 stands in total, all moving separately! This is all based on a local laser navigation system! Even up to a point were all stands do form a circle in which a scene of the musical is played! Imagine that you are setting on the left side of the show, the sit a few minutes later in the center of the right side. There are moments were the stand do for 2 line opposite to each other, so that the train (a real train but than electrical) can roll in! Decor pieces are rolling in and out constantly, creating more the effect of a movie than a theater show! This all back up by 8 gigantic lead screens to create an even more vivid show! I forget to mention that horse and dogs are also used as extras. During the show we also had fireworks and fire coming out of the floor to simulate a house on fire! O man, everything is so synchronized. Just amazing! The wife did enjoy the musical and I did enjoy the show :) So a win win! Probably will also book tickets for a next one! Cheers, Peter

Fixing an iPhone7! Well my oldest son is running around already for a few month with a broken iPhone 7 screen. So it was time to fix this! Already did order a new screen and do have the equipment needed to replace the scattered screen with a brand new one! I have been postponing this for a long time for several reasons: I am not the most handy man in the world (understatement); It does require some time; it is quite a hassle! Done it before! Well this is not the first time that I did replace an Iphone screen. I have done it before. The last time I did this was in the beginning of the complete lock down. That time the iPhone 5 of the youngest was broken! Probably due to a rage quit of the oldest one! With nothing to do in the evening, I did try to replace it myself. That time it took me an hour of 2. The problem with the iPhone 5 SE is that it it pretty small compared to a 7. So there wasn't a lot of room to work with! You can read about that adventure here: Screen repair iphone 5s. DIY | PeakD https://peakd.com/hive-174578/@fullcoverbetting/screen-repair-iphone-5s-diy The obliged before picture! As you can see several drops did take it's tole! The work! I told you already that this is quite a hassle. I was relieved that there was a lot more room to work with compared with the iPhone 5 SE. The first big problem are the 2 first two screws, but to life the screen out of it case. That alone does take a lot of time. For sure, because you don't want to cause a lot more damage! Unscrewing everything and disconnecting the connectors is also done in the blink of an eye! But then I did made my first mistake. I did unscrewed something which wasn't necessary. No problem. No damage was done. But the problems did occur to get those screws back in. We are talking here about screws with a size of 0.8mm (indeed millimetres!). (0.031496 inches). It is already a challenge to pick them up and guide them to the whole where they should be screwed in again. This alone did took me 15 minutes for 6 of those bastards! This is the things that really did cause me some problems. It is the touch button! Only 4 screws required. Still not sure if I did get this connector connected like it should. But more about that latter! Connecting this bastard did took me at least 50 attempts. Getting the cover plate back on, and screwing the screws in took another 15 minutes! So pretty close to the end. After that everything went smooth. Until I did switch the phone on again! The screen was brilliant but the touch button wasn't working! So getting it apart again. It did appear that one of those 3 screws wasn't screwed in hard enough. So that did fell out. And trying to find a 0.8 mm screw is almost impossible. Luckily I could use one from the old screen! Getting the connector in again and turning in the screws was another 20 minutes! Pfff. Switching it on again, still no luck with the touch button! The result! So the son has a 100% perfect condition screen again, but couldn't use the touch button, which is more or less crucial for an iPhone 7. Luckily google knows it all and there is a feature that you can create a virtual touch button! I know that this is only a workaround and will have to figure out I am going to open it again or bring it to a repair shop. That will cost me probably $30 or so, but I do think that I will prefer this above going through all the steps again! Will let you know what I did decide! Still pretty proud on myself! Cheers, Peter

Another Splinterlands investment! A ROI of 300% is expected in 100 days! Well was I thinking about bailing out on Splinterlands due to the fact that my card collections did rise to an unimaginable value! But after looking and some things, I decided to stay and take the risk to loose it all. Loosing it all, it is big sentence because I do have recovered all my investments already. And I am cashing out around $20 on a daily basis! Currently I am playing with 2 accounts. My main account which has lots of cards and my secondary account where I did start with only a spell book. I did start playing again with the secondary account to see if it was still possible to make a profit when stepping in now! Before I will tell about my investment, let's have a look at the status of my secondary account! Simplylars! So far I did earn 900 DEC with playing the game. 900 DEC has a current value of $5.67. So by just playing I did already recover 50% of my initial investment. But I also did earn some cards already! Sp that does add another $2.22 to the pocket. But there is more. Buy playing, having cards and DEC I do also earn some SPS tokens. This is the governance token of Splinterlands. What about that! Just for playing! I could sell them and get $9.83 back. But I decided to stake them, which does earn me some interest over the staked tokens! So within 3 weeks of playing I not only managed to recover my investment, but I am already in the green. A profit of $7, that is a ROI of 70%. And will only increase! The problem is that I do get only 1 box per daily quest! With 33% chance on DEC, 33% on a card and 33% on some potion and a 1% on whopping 2K DEC. Investment! So this is where my investment does come in. You can buy potion quests. For each potion quest you do get 5 extra cards for completing the daily quest. So for my alt account, it does increase from 1 to 6 cards. Increasing my chances on a legendary card! No while I am not stupid I am not a smart ass. So I decided to follow the lead of one of my mates (Costanza) who did write an excellent post about it! His post can be found on Publish0x: https://www.publish0x.com/costanza/splinterlands-reasons-im-buying-quest-potion-plus-400-percen-xqmennp?a=46dB46Ja79 If his calculations are correct, than you can expect a ROI of 300% on purchasing the potion quest! Changes are slim if you only buy 1 potion quest, so I decided to buy 100 potions quests for each account! This did result into an investment of roughly $143. So I do expect a profit of around $300. Not bad for an investment and an investment where there is a big chance that the cards you do have will rise in value. Not only that with the increase value of cards you do have, you will also get more SPS airdropped on a daily basis for the next 349 days! The next 114 days! So for the next 114 days, I can open 10 extra boxes. At total of 1140 boxes for free! I do have a daily investment of $1.25. There will be days that I will earn less, but I do expect that there will also be days that I will knock the ball out of the park! The first extra boxes are already opened. I did earn $0.32 in DEC and $0.46 in cards. So the start was below par with a daily extra earning of $0.78. But it is a start and a investment which does compound on a daily basis! For my alt account the math is pretty simple, because I normally would get only 1 box per day, for my alt account this does differ because I do get there 10 boxes per day! So, make a fair calculation, I will only use the 5 last boxes to calculate my ROI! These were my boxes from today's quest with my main account! To bad the Epic Tortillo the Frozen wasn't within the last 5 boxes! Otherwise we would have started this quest with an great start! If you do wonder how much value my total card collection is, well that is a whopping $23K. Indeed pay attention to the K :). SPS Airdrop! Added this chapter because it appears that there are question about the SPS airdrop and I can't add screenshot in a comment! Each day there is a specific amount of SPS to be airdropped. For all your belongings you do get airdrop points! Depending on the airdrop points, you do get a part of the SPS airdrop! For my alt account that is around 2.5 SPS per day! My main account does have a lot more SPS airdrop point, so it does get more SPS airdropped on a daily basis! Currently I am receiving around 120 SPS per day. The bigger part I do sell on the market, a smaller part is staked. Which does give me at the moment an APR of 280%. But this is dropping. Still good for $20 a day! Each day a new snapshot is taking and all airdrop points are recalculated! If you do have any questions, just ask! As you can see it is still not to late to join the party. If you do like to join, feel free to use my ref link and drop me a note, maybe I can delegate some cards to you for free! https://splinterlands.com?ref=fullcoverbetting Cheers, Peter

Move over Publish0x, here is read.cash! Well I did write the article below and posted it on Hive, Publish0x (don't expect great reactions on it there), Steem and blurt! Trying to make some advertisement for read.cash! I have written 31 posts now here on read, and each day I do like it more and more! Now it is time to make some advertisement for read, hoping that we do get some extra people aboard! From below here is the orginal article on those other blogging platforms! I do have some other plans to make some more advertisement for read! We all have to admit that the earnings on Publish0x aren't anymore what they used to be. Not that I ever did earn a lot here but still. Not only the earnings are down but also the post rate! Which makes it of course harder to find good post to spent your 5 upvotes per day on! So it was time to find a replacement for this blogging platform, a replacement which does bring in some cash! And I did find a replacement. Time will tell, if this is a good addition to my social media platform or not, but I did earn $100 with only writing 31 posts! That's way more than I ever did earn on 2 years on Publish0x! It is not that I will abandon Publish0x, I will still use my upvotes and regardless of my earnings here, Publish0x did show how crazy the cryptomarket is. That to P0x, I did get airdrop a shitload of Forth token, which were sold for around $1000. What about that! But I doubt it that this will happen again to me! So, if you are also looking to expand your social media horizon, let me introduce to you read.cash! Read.cash! Just like Publish0x read.cash is a social media platform. Not like twitter or facebook, but like Hive or Publish0x. Everybody can create an account for free! You can even compare it with medium! But there are some big difference between Hive, Publish0x and read! There is no staking, there is no max on upvotes and there aren't any free upvotes! Just like Hive it is a real community, something which I do miss on P0x. I did write my first article 2 months ago and now 31 articles later I did bank $100 in BCH.  It took me 6 articles to know how things do work at read! But from the moment on, I really did start to engage, the rocket was fully loaded and did had lift of!  The way to earn on Read! There are several ways to earn some money on Read. But is doesn't come easy! Writing articles! The easiest way seems to be written great quality articles! But this isn't a fire and forget platform, like I did write earlier it is a vivid community. So it takes some time to get noticed. At the moment I only do have 33 followers, but I am planning to get even more active on the platform and try to increase the number of followers up to 50 before the month is over. And just like on Hive and P0x, the more followers you do have, the more people could read your article and the more chance on an upvote! Did you say upvotes? Well yes I did. So how does this upvote mechanism work! When you do get an upvote the money of the upvote is instantly moved to your BCH address connected to read! There are no curation rewards. What you get is what you do earn! The big difference is that when you do upvote a post, this upvotes does come out of your BCH wallet. So, no you are of course curious, why people would upvote and if the money would ever dry up! Well there is a bot running around. Sniffing at all post and hand our random upvotes. These are the juicy upvotes. Let's have a look at my best paid post on Read! As you can see my post did earn me $10.64. But $9.96 did came for the TheRandomRewarder upvote! The remaining part did come from 4 of my followers! These random upvotes don't come out of the blue sky! I do think that it is related with how active you are on the platform. Do you engage and do you upvotes other posts! The more actions you do perform, the chances on such an upvote do increase a lot! So at the start, you can or move some BCH to your account and just do like me, be persistent and score your first upvotes. After that you can come more active! Of course you can also score an upvote with writing comments! And just like on Hive and P0x, writing genuine comments is like making advertisement for you own brand! Just like on Hive and Pox, there are communities in which you can post (some are moderated others are free for all) and you can add tags (topics) to your post! Sponsorship! Read is full of friendly people! And some even do sponsor other authors. You can see this as buying some advertisement space on their profiles! At the moment I do have 3 sponsors, which each do pay me a certain amount of BCH per month. When somebody is interested, they can request to buy some advertisement space on your profile page and below each of your posts! They can use the sponsorship to advertise for their own read profile and have a link to another website!   Withdrawals! Okay you have earn some money. Now what. I always like to have some BCH in my account, so that I can upvote other posts or great comments written on my posts! It is like giving something back to the community! The more I earn, the more I share cause sharing is caring! But from time to time I do withdraw some of my earnings to my Celsius Network BCH wallet, where I do earn interest on my BCH holdings! Withdrawal are automated and instant! You can even withdraw in multiple cyrpto currency!  I am now trying to accumulate 1 BCH. From that moment on, the earnings will be used to strengthen my position into other cryptos! Conclusion! If you don't have a read account, I can only advice you to create one. It does take some time investment to get into the community, like it should! But from that moment on, it was like being part of a real community! The only thing I do regret is that I didn't discover this earlier! I really love the community aspect and the fact that if people do upvote my post that it does come out of their own pockets! Which is a real sing of appreciation for my post! So, don't hestitate and create a account at: https://read.cash/r/TheCryptoGambler If you do click the link above, you will see my profile and the prove of my earnings on read! Cheers, Peter

Betfury did launch a new in-house game! Cryptos Betfury keeps on surprising the crypto gambling dapp world and is maybe the fasted growing dapp in cryptosphere! Today they added a new in-house game to their portfolio! In-house games are utmost important because they don't have to split some profit with a gaming provider. Cryptos! Well this game is according to me a combination of a slot machine combined with Poker. It does look a lot like video poker but then with Crypto symbols in stead of cards and there is no second chance! So no hard decision which cards to keep or which to replace. What you see if what you get. Like I told you it is a pretty simple game, one which can attract lots of new players! Like all in-house game the minimum bet is 0.00000001 from the coin you do want to play with! After that it is just pressing the button and cross your fingers! The possible outcomes are: 5 different symbols: You loose your bet (20%) one pair: you still loose the bet but 10% of your ante is returned (50%) two pairs: now it get's interesting because your payout is your ante x 2.5 (15%) Three of the same: even better, your ante times 3.5 (10%) Full house: now we are talking ante x 6 (1.7%) Four of a kind: Not 4 but 7 times your ante (0.8%) Five of a kind: Holy Moly; ante times 60 (0.02%) The have also made the auto play smart enough that it does understand that you only win when you do hit 2 pairs or better! With this lowest possible starting bet, you could try your luck with martingale and hope that after a streak of losses, you do hit something great! Remember to only play with the money you are comfortable loosing! Because the house still has the edge! Their portfolio now contains not less than 11 in-house games. Which is the top of the gambling dapps! Also don't forget that they still have a BTC and BNB faucet running. So you can try it out for free. I you want to try it out, feel free to use my referral link: https://betfury.io/?r=5e77bbc926d92f03013d9340 Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

What's your real crypto goal? And does your game plan support this goal? The problem with crypto is that you always want more. We all dream about crypto investment making a huge impact on our daily life! So the more I do think about what kind of impact crypto could have on life, the more I do understand that I am/was playing the game with the wrong mindset! The ones who do follow my posts and actually do read them, know that my main goal was to decrease my fiat investment into crypto to 0 (zero). In the past month I did convert a pretty decent amount into fiat. Now I was asking did this change my life. **The answer to that question is two folded**. So a YES and a NO. Yes we maybe could afford some extras, but the main part of the converted crypto is just sitting in the bank account, just collecting dust! Some parts were used to purchase some stuff, like a birthday iWatch for me wife and now I also forced her more or less to purchase a chair she was dreaming about. But to be honest, we could have purchased both with the converted crypto! So the real answer is maybe No! But what would be a real life changer for me! So again a question where I did have to find an answer to! And maybe if crypto could allow me to start working 4 days a week in stead of 5, well that would be a life changing thingy! But if I do want to achieve this, I was just playing the game incorrect! Al-time highs! To give myself another view point on my crypto portfolio I did dig up the all time highs of all the cryptos I do have in my wallet. Trying to figure out what the potential value of my crypto holdings is, when all the stars would be aligned. On one side I was impressed by the total value of the portfolio when this would occur and on the other side I was disappointed! If this would happen, the value of my crypto portfolio would for sure be life changing and could give me the opportunity to start working less and enjoy life more! It would means that the value of my portfolio would be four times the value it has now! But If I do keep pulling out money of the crypto market, that dream would be much harder to achieve! What is my real goal with Crypto? I was to late at the party and for sure made some stupid moves in the early years. So the chances that crypto will make me a millionaire are close to 0. While not impossible, I will probably have more chance winning the lottery that this will happen! So, I can eliminate that as a goal! When I did enter the crypto market, I did enter it, to see if it was possible to earn an extra buck or two! Earning an extra buck or 2 does mean that you do need to convert crypto into fiat, otherwise you are just sitting on a pile of virtual money with a virtual profit or virtual loss! So let's say that my goal would be that crypto allow me to decrease the numbers of hours I really have to work! Change of game plan! A good coach in any sport isn't afraid to change the game plan during a game. Trying to turn things around! If I do compare my game plan with sports, I maybe have to say that I was playing ultra defensive watching on a possibility to counter! My main focus was to reduce my fiat investment to zero, not realizing that I am maybe missing out on lots of possibilities! I already did some minor tweaks to my game plan, which does have some positive effect. Until a few months ago, most of my cryptos where just collecting dust, they weren't growing, so by default missing out on potential profit. Or at least a status quo which is in crypto more or less the same as a loss! The changes I did made: Investing into being a premium member on the freebitco.in facuet; Moving the crypto I did have on Binance to their earn section; Moving the crypto I did have on Kucoin to their pools; Opening an account on Celsius network and did deposit some crypto there to gain some interest and claim their free $50 in BTC. While these things are only small improvements I did mean that this tokens where working for me in stead of the other way around! Currently my biggest mistake is that I do take out way to much profit out of the market by converting them into fiat. What separates the normal people from the rich people is that the rich do make money with their money, while the normal ones are trying to save and create a cushion. Okay I admit, we all need to have a balance in our household books! But I am at the moment in a situation that I can take some risks with my crypto investment. If I do loose it all, my life as it is now would change, besides having a huge dent in my ego! So why do I focus so much on reducing my fiat investment? Just to have a great ego? Trying to eliminate the guild feeling of my investment, one which has been written off emotionally a long time ago? So I do need to get back to the drawing board and start investing my crypto earnings mostly again into crypto! There is no reason why I should keep on pulling out all my profits. It just doesn't make sense if I do want to chase my new crypto goal! So changes are due! I will still withdraw some profit into fiat, but the amount I will withdraw will decrease a lot! I will start saying goodbye to some coins in my portfolio which are just collecting dust and swap them into crypto investments which will give me some daily passive income. *****And for sure will re-invest the majority of my earnings!***** Sometime it is good to confront yourself with some simple questions like what is your real crypto goal! If it is to become a millionaire that's okay, but your game plan should suit that goal! If it is to decrease your fiat investment, that's also fine and again you do need to find something that works for you. So, what's your ultimate crypto goal? And is your game plan supporting this goal. Or did you have a secret goal, which is held back by your game plan? In my case, the goal I was trying to accomplish apparently wasn't my real goal. And the plan I did draw out was standing in the way of my goal! Just make sure your goal and approach is aligned to each other! Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

Splinterlands can easily give your BCH balance a push in the back! I am playing Splinterlands (https://splinterlands.com?ref=fullcoverbetting) since the early start. As you did read in some of my previous posts I easily earn $10 to $20 each day by just playing the game and a part of my daily SPS airdrop! Until today all those earning did flow back to my fiat account, but I also do want to belong to the 1 BCH club sooner than later. So from time to time I also did convert some of my earnings into BCH. But that was a long road, costing me some money with the transfer and withdrawal fees. But there is an easier road. A road with is less costly! So let me explain this to you. Maybe you already know it, but for the ones unaware of this possibility, it could save you some money! Let me use the DEC rewards as example! DEC earnings! Each time when you do win a battle, you do earn some DEC. The amount of DEC you do win depends on lots of variables. Do you belong to a Guild, what cards you did use, are you into a winning streak and what League you are in. At the moment I am battling out my battles in Diamond III. On average I do earn around 70 DEC per battle won. The value of DEC at the moment is **$0.00550.** So 70 DECs is around $0.385. From Splinterlands to Hive-Engine! So for this example I did withdraw 607 DEC to my hive-engine wallet where the magic will take place. This withdrawal is almost instantly. So, now it is time to sell this DEC for some HIVE on Hive-engine! I sold my 607 DEC for HIVE. I did get 7.49 HIVE for it. My old route would be withdrawing the Hive to my Hive wallet, which would cost me 1% of my Hive withdrawal in fees. Then I had to withdraw it to Binance, no fees there. Swapping in into USDT, again fees to pay. Using the USDT to purchase some BCH, another loss in fess. Finally I am ready now to withdraw it to my BCH wallet, which again does cost me fees. The withdrawal fee on binance for BCH is **0.001.** So, my new route is very simple, has less transaction and some are fee less. I do buy swap.bch with my Hive on Hive-Engine. On Hive-engine there is no fee for selling or buying tokens! So my purchase request has been sent out, now I do have to wait on another party to complete the deal! Last move! Well patience is not one my best qualities. So I am going to use another another transfer I made this morning to complete the route! Withdrawing swapped tokens from Hive-Engine is pretty straight forward and isn't rocket science. Just select Bitcoin Cash as the token you do want to withdraw. Fill in the amount of BCH you do want to withdraw. This immediatly also show you how much BCH you will receive. In my case this is 0.00637917. So I only pay 0.0000644 BCH as transfer fee! Which is incredibly low compared to withdrawaf fee on Binance. Don't forget that I also did save a lot of BCH in transaction fees and withdrawal from Hive-Engine. The last step is to fill in your BCH address! Click on Withdraw BCH and approve the transaction and the BCH is on it's way to your BCH wallet, which is Celsius in my case, which does earn my some interest on my holdings! So this is a lot easier process to increase my BCH holdings compared to the old route I was using. Not only is it simpler, it also does save me a lot of money in transfer and withdrawal fees. Now I will to try this out for other tokens as well. Because this could save me a shit load of money! Okay only pennies, but a penny not spend is a penny you don't need to earn :) The prove! As you can see, the BCH is already virtually in my wallet. I only need one more confirmation of the blockchain! So another 0.006371 BCH closer to my 1 BCH goal! It also still not to late to start playing Splinterlands. You can start with purchasing the spell book for $10, which could be recovered in less than a month! And with some luck, much sooner! I did start playing with an alt account 2 weeks ago and already did recover 80% of the initial investment. I do expect that this week I will be in the green with that account! If you want to try it out, feel free to use my ref link: https://splinterlands.com?ref=fullcoverbetting Which I did knew this route before! Cheers, Peter

A lost but great Saturday! Yesterday looked like a lost day, but actually it wasn't! Football! I did write some time ago that Football would rule our life and agenda again and it did! I had to get up early on this Saturday, because the youngest did have a friendly away game. To the alarm clock was set on 7 am. Remember that this is a Saturday! It took us a 45 minute drive to arrive at the stadium! It was the first time that he had to play 8 against 8. The coach does want us to arrive an hour before the game. That hour being there is the time to catch up with the other parents. Welcoming the new ones and catching up with the one who were also there last year! We did know in advance that the opponent would be way to strong and also that the youngest was still tired so I did expect him to play his a game. During the first quarter he was sitting on the bench. Couldn't blame the couch for that based on his performances during the past week. He did play the other 3 quarters and he did made me proud. He gave all he had. Never did I see such a work ethos from him. He is one of the smaller player on the pitch but was fighting like a lion. At the end they did loose 8-4 but I didn't care. It looked like he made the switch and finally does have some belief in his own. After that I was rushing back to the car and driving home again to pick up the wife and go the game of the oldest son. He did play against the same team. Also hard for his coach, because this is the first time that they did play 11-vs-11. So you should try out different players at different positions. When we did arrive we did see that he was the captain of the team. This is something he doesn't like because he tell us that this does bring some extra pressure and responsibility with it! He team did play good but ran into several counters, resulting into a 2-6 loss. But also he did gave all he had. So proud dad here also. The lost part! After eating some lunch (at 4 pm) I decided to lay on the bench and watch some Olympics. And that's where the lights did go out! It was a nice nap but didn't had the planned! After dinner, did watch the Genk game and they do was over! Luckily I am involved into crypto so did some earning in the lost day! Cheers, Peter

@TheCryptoGambler

Fiat money is becoming more and virtual (and that is good for crypto!) I already wrote about this topic once. The original article was posted on steem/hive on the 21th of February 2018. That's around 3.5 years ago. It was written when month masks weren't common on the streets, where you could still hug everybody or give a kiss as greeting! That Covid did struck us and not only fiat but more and more things have become virtual! Like work, an office and so on. Lot's of things have changed. Covid was in the country where I do live the real breakthrough for online shopping! Let's see what I did write 3.5 years ago! The original post can be found here: Fiat money is becoming more and virtual | PeakD https://peakd.com/bitcoin/@fullcoverbetting/fiat-money-is-becoming-more-and-virtual The intro! The more I think about crypto coins the more I also think about fiat money. Not if I have enough or that I do need to pay the bills but its getting more virtual by the year. My sons are 6 and 9 and by the time that they will earn a wage, cash money probably does not exists anymore. I do have a mortgage but never have seen the money used to pay for our house, just like I never have seen the money which is used to pay the monthly down payments. My wage is electronically deposited into my account. Lots of bills are paid automatically so I never see that money. I only use real cash when I’m at a bar, at the football games of my sons and to pay for bread. And that is it. My parents did not had this. They had to pay for everything wit cash. So a lot of evolution took place. Of course my sons are older now :). They are now 9 and almost 13. And still they haven't seen a lot of cash. The only cash they see if when they do get birthday gifts or with new year! The oldest one also has 20 euro in his pockets, but he never uses it! The wife and I are deciding if we should open a separate bank account with a debit card. I did get my first debit card when I did start working, before that all we had was more or less cash! Or cash on the bank account of course. I still have my mortgage :(. 9.5 more years to go. I still don't get my wage in hard cash but it is send to my bank account! But I don't think that there were more than 10 days this year so far that I did had cash in my wallet. My wallet is filled with cards. Cards to pay with, cards to use at the charging station to load up the car and so on! Most things we do purchase are via online shopping. We do try to minimize it and try to support the local stores, but sometimes it just comes in handy to order it online! Due to the fact that I am mostly working from home, I do have time to go to the bakery and use my card to pay for the bread. Even now at the pool bar, I do pay my beers with a debit card! (Always debit, rarely credit because credit cards are a huge pitfall) It has come so far, that we tend to avoid restaurants where we can't pay with a card. Just because we don't have fiat with us! So the only days that I do need cash is if I do go to see the football games of our sons. Most of the time, a card purchase isn't available! I still believe that cash will become scarce. Not claiming that crypto would wipe out fiat at all in the first coming 10 years! My bold statement back then! This is an unstoppable train. It keeps on going further and further. This is why I think that cash money will disappear sooner than later. Lets give it 10 years! Government once were trying to eliminate cash money, to eliminate fraud and tax evasion. Due to these action and all the bank fraud that took place, John and Sue Doe will soon embrace the coins were are staking today! Mhh, I wasn't high when writing this. Cash money will disappear, but for the moment I doubt it that crypto will replace it soon. Cash payments were always a torn in the eye of governments because they are hard to control! So companies are forced more and more than only accept wire transferred money due to this. But this also did open a door and gave crypto another unexpected use case. I am not talking here about money related with drugs or crime. But just day to day payments between people. At the moment these are still untraceable for governments, and this is one of the reason government do hate it. Besides of course there is no tax on it and that they can't control it! So back to the story title. Why is the fact the money becomes more virtual day by day a good case for crypto! The older generation were raised with fiat, my generation also but we were able to make the switch. But the newer generation are raised with online shopping (no cash involved), with debit cards (no cash involved) and tranferring money peer-2-peer via mobile apps (again no money involved)! The banks do try to adept to this! Bank offices are closing all over the world on a day to day basis! People are used to online accounts and so on. And it rarely happens that a customer call the bank that he needs a huge amount of fiat money! So this means that for those generation for which money if just a number on a screen, and step to crypto isn't that far fetched! And this does opens a door for crypto adoption! For the moment that a business like Netflix or so will accept crypto it will become unstoppable! But still crypto won't replace fiat soon! I am not saying that this will never happen but it will not happen overnight! Also don't forget that at the moment old money still rules the world! And without minor governmental control, it still be something like the dark web! Gambling like always is a technical front runner and don't forget that internet only become big thanks to gambling and porn. That did pull people to the internet and made it what it is today! A great addition to crypto at the pay-2-earn games on the blockchains. They also do attract investors and new players, some of which were never into crypto before. And last but sure not least, blogging/social media platforms like read.cash, noise.cash, Hive and publish0x among others. These days everybody can earn some crypto by just writing down there mind and interact with others! What a great invention this is! Mild governmental regulation could be a firm push in the back! If they would treat it like they do treat the stock markets, that would be a great start! This could convince lot's of people to jump on the crypto wagon, bringing new fiat money in the market, resulting in a never seen bull market! So, this is not financial advice, nor I am some kind of Nostradamus! This is just my 2 cents about crypto and fiat! Also no statement yet, it BTC will be the king or if it ever will be dethroned! It was a historic day for Belgium today at the Olympics! Well this ~~could~~ ~~become~~ was a great day at the Olympics for team Belgian. 2 shots at a gold medal. One with the men's hockey team, just like all Belgian teams they do have a nickname which is the Red Lions, the second one at track and field where Thiam is defending here Olympic title in the Women's Heptathlon! Never team Belgium did win 2 gold medals at the same day at the Olympics! Never was a Belgian capable of prolonging their Olympic title! And look today, we took 2 golds and Thiam did prolong her title! Hockey! We aren't a Hockey land for sure. Or maybe I should say we weren't! The story of the Red Lions did start in 2007 when they did qualify for the first time for the Olympics! That when the dream of chasing an Olympic medal did start! The hockey players decided to become professional and give everything up for a medal! But it took a generation change before that it really did result into a Silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics! This didn't satisfy their thirst for Glory. So they did start investing more and more companies where willing the support the next goal. A whopping Olympic Gold medal! It is not that they did start as a huge favorite but as reigning World Champion and a bronze medal at the European Championships they did have a chance! They cruised through the group phase of the tournament, Spain was a worthy opponent in the quarters. In the semis India was sent home. The final was up against Australia, who were also searching for another Olympic Gold medal, the previous one was won at the OG in Greece! The game turned out to be a nail biter for both countries. Belgium did score the opening goal but this one was erased by the equalizer early in the fourth quarter! After that both teams had some small chances but it went to a shoot-out. This can be compared with the penalty kicks in football. Australia did win the toss and decided to start. Their first attempt was saved by VanAsh! After there were successful attempt. But, Denayer cracked under the pressure and missed. 2-2 with both 2 attempts left! And again a save from specialist Vanash and Hendrickx didn't miss! 3-2 lead with both one attempt left! Australia did miss their last attempt, but the VAR decided to it had to be retaken! The Belgians were already celebrating and running around! So that was a harsh decision and it had to be tough to get back in focus! But Vanash again prevented another goal! And this time the decision was final! I am not a real hockey fan, but like written above it was a real nail biter! The only time I did see a hockey game life was at the London 2012 Olympics! Thiam! The leading lady of Team Belgium! Together with a hockey player she did carry the national flag during the opening ceremony! Here first day wasn't the best! But she was lucky to see another favorite for gold stepping out of the game! After the first day she was only at the third place! Probably she would have expected a better high jump where she did stay 10 centimetres under her personal best! After day 1, she was standing on third with 3921 points, surprisingly anothr Belgian at second place (Vidts) with 3941 points (she broke 3 PBs during the first day) and Vetter was leading the pack with 3968 points. Vidt achilles heel the Javelin did cost here a bronze medal, but with another 2 PBs on day 2, she really can be proud at her performance! With a long jump of 6.6m, she passed Vidts and was closing in a Vetter. While the closing 800m isn't the best of Thiam, it is still better than the PB of Vetter. So the Javelin would become crucial! Both Vetter and Thiam did do excellent, but with a throw of 54.68m, she did put the heat on Vetter, who had to throw in the second group! I do think that Vetter did crack under the pressure. She only managed to reach 51.2m, which is well below her personal best. So at the start of the 800m Thiam had a lead of 5 seconds and with a better personal best she should be able to cruise to gold! And she did! Another amazing performance. Just like the Hockey team, she won the European and World Championship and can another Gold medal to her trophy showcase! An amazing day for Team Belgium. To bad that 4 of 7 discipline took place in the middle of the night Belgian time! Curious if both, Thiam and the hockey team, can prolong their title in Paris, located in a much nicer timezone for me! During the Olympics in London I also did see some Atletics. The women's high jump, the 400 meter men and the qualifications for the 100 m sprint with Usain Bolt! Will see if I will visit Paris 2024. Depends on the situation and if the kids want to go. Team Belgium now has 3 gold, 1 silver and a bronze medal. I do think that will be it. Maybe the jumping team can sneak another medal, but we will have to wait and see! Cheers, Peter

The BTC faucets I am currently using! We all have dreams about bitcoin reaching $100K or even more. Today BTC value hoovers around $40K. Resulting in the fact that 1 satisho has a value of $0.00038. Not a lot. But all small things do add up. So that's why I do try some faucets from time to time. Had been playing around with some of them, and some where ditched and others were keepers. I a mostly interested in the faucets where you aren't forced to play an on daily basis! Due to this reason rollercoin didn't make it too the list. I will give them another try because they have introduced weekly rewards. If you do want to try it out, feel free to use my ref link: https://rollercoin.com/?r=kkmnnotm So without any further blabla here is my top 4 list! Freebitco.in (Verified) This my most favorite BTC faucet. It doesn't require a lot of attention and the earning are pretty decent. At the beginning of this month I did have 0,00054334 BTC or 54334 Sats. The great thing is that when you have more than 30K sats on your account you do start earning interest. I am a premium member here, to become this you do need to have 12500 FUN staked. This gives lots of advantages, like 5 extra free spins at their wheel of fortune and no captcha requirements. I try to roll the dice up to 8 times per day, which does earn me at least 800 sats per day, which is around $0.3 per day! Also if you do click on the link in their daily email you can win up to 5K sats or even a Rolex. Freebitco.in has my verified stamp because they do pay out! These are my stats on freebitco.in: If you are into BTC faucets and this one ins't on your list, add it sooner than later! https://freebitco.in/?r=41852558 Satoshihero I was doubting between number 2 and 3 on the list, both come very close. But I decided to go for Satoshihero! Just like on freebitco I mainly try my luck at their free spins. Each 30 minutes you can have a free spin at their wheel, prices go from 3 sats up to 250000 sats. My best spin did deliver me 250 sats. Yipee! At the beginning at the month I did have staked 8000 sats. Around 3K is earned by spinning their wheel, the rest via filling in some surveys. You can really speed up things when using the other possibilities to earn some BTC. I do like it because it only takes max 15 seconds each 30 minutes. And they don't care if you skip a day! Satoshihero doesn't have my stamp verified yet because I haven't reach their withdrawal limit yet. https://satoshihero.com/en/register?r=2g157eg5 Cryptotabbrowser This is the easiest way for me to earn some free BTC. Just download the browser, keep it open and start mining some BTC. And they do pay out. So far I have withdraw already 0,000085 BTC. I know this isn't a lot but I do send these earning to Celsius, where I do get some interest on my holdings. Each month my stack on Celsius in increasing thanks to cryptotab browser and each week my interest in BTC is increasing. This is just a great combination, one which each faucet enthusiast should have! https://cryptotabbrowser.com/18489559 Cointiply I have discovered this gem only recently, so at the moment I am trying it out. Besides rolling the dice free of charge each hour, you can also watch some adds and earn tokens. At the beginning of this month I only had 286 sats, but this is increasing rapidly! For sure the CTP adds earning a decent amount of tokens! It is a step by step process. First I will try to reach 10K of their tokens and maybe create a CTP advertisment for read.cash! **http://cointiply.com/r/4XGVn** Monthly progress! Trying to earn some free BTC is a marathon and for sure not a sprint. Therefor I will try to report my progress on a monthly basis. At the start of this month I did have .000775 BTC which the equivalent of $29. If BTC would ever reach $1M this would be around $500. And it keeps on growing! So the baseline: Freebitco.in: 0,00054334 Satoshihero: 0,00008 Cointiply: 0,00000286 Cryptotabbrowser: 0,0000875 **Total**: 0.0007137 Cheers, Peter

First day at the office since 520 days! Today was the day that I did go back to the office. We do have a new project lead, so it was time to meet her face to face! Since the 1st of March 2020, I haven't been to the office of the Client of my employer. That's 520 days! The morning ritual! For the first time since the 1st of March I did feel the time pressure in the morning. You do want to get at the office before the first meeting does start. It is only a 25 minutes drive but it is a 25 minute drive. Also the kids do have their football camp this week, so for the first time in a year, we did need to call in the help from my parents! Luckily they were very happy to help out! The drive! Once alone in the car after dropping off the kids at my parents house, it did feel like it was yesterday that I drove to the office. But it was a great ride. It was the first time the Beast did cross the border to outside the country! I am very happy with his adaptive cruise control! But then the problems did start! Normally I am not allowed to park in their parking lot, because I am rented in. But due to Covid and the fact that only 30% of the people are allowed, everybody is allowed to use the parking lot, which is in the basement of the office. So when at the gate, trying to use my badge, the gate didn't open. So after pressing the speak button they did open. But once at the parking you can't have access to the office. Still with the idea that my badge only didn't work at the parking gates, I couldn't open any door at all. The problem is that these are tourniquets which only allows one person. So I did have to sneak in with somebody else. Not really covid proof I would say! The office Everywhere there are signs, walking paths and so on. It has turned out to be a one direction office. Places were you normally would sit with 8, only allows 2 persons! Really strange! So it was time to find a desk and my colleagues. But if you only can sit with 2, it doesn't have a lot of advantage coming to the office! Regardless of that it was nice to chat with some colleagues which aren't a member if my team. You really can have some chit chat, which it was I did miss at home. What also was a culture shock for me that month masks weren't mandatory. In Belgium this is. My wife has to put on their month mask when she stands up from her chair. Here none is needed! But having 2 monitors is better than only have the laptop at home. So first thing to do when I do come home is to order one or two monitors! Also strange that I had to eat at my desk, normally I would do this when walking around but the weather did not allow this! But you need to get use to office sounds again. People calling and chatting, which makes it hard to concentrate! I do need to get used to this again! Also the coffee is lesser than at home! But the view is better! Still it was a great day and something to do much more often. For sure I won't wait another 520 days :) Cheers, Peter
