July BCH report!
July was my first complete month active on both noise and read.cash. Active maybe is a big word, because I was on a holiday for the first 2 weeks of July. And holiday also means a lot less engagement to online activities.
I did start my BCH adventure on noise around the 8th of June and it took me a little bit longer to start on read.cash.
BCH July income!
Before I go into detail, lets first have a look at the overall figures of July and in total.
Druing July I did earn, 0.2630446 BCH, which at the moment has a value of 119 euro. That's an increase of 75% compared to the June report.
My major source of income was noise.cash, which was good for 48% of the complete income, Read had a share of 10%, 0.23% was interest from Celsius and 35% was the result of converting other coins into BCH.
My main goal is still to become a real member of the 1 BCH club. If things do continue like they are doing now, I could reach that goal somewhere in October/November, which is way faster than the originally planned 2022!
Noise.cash!
Due to my 2 weeks holiday the income from noise.cash did decrease with 5%. I did end the month with 221 followers. Which is almost a double up compared to June.
The easiest money made on noise are of course the QR code challenges. Which always adds $0.95 to the pocket!
I do assume that I can increase my income from noise in August. Of course the value of BCH has an influence on this. The higher this value goes, the harder it is to earn a decent amount of BCH. I do know and understand that the $ would be the same, but when trying to reach the 1 BCH club and only counting in BCH this could mean a set back.
The goal for August is to earn 0.15 BCH! Let's see if I can achieve this.
It also would be great if I can add some more followers to my noise account!
Read.cash!
First let me thanks my sponsors! I do appreciate the support very much! I do look at it as a vote of confidence!
I do need work to engage more here on the platform because I only do have 25 followers. But I do have a plan to increase this. I do need to comment on more articles, writing genuine comments is the best advertisement one can make for his own account! It is like placing your brand in the market.
I did write 9 articles last month. And I am happy to see that the interaction on these articles in increasing, just like the pay-out.

There is a possibility that next month my earnings from Read will overpower the one from noise! But this isn't a competition between the two. Read is for my decent articles, noise is my twitter on steroids!
Due to the fact that I do start earning some decent amount of BCH, I do have the possibility to start upvoting articles from other authors. We do need to give something back to the community! And to be honest, this does feel great! So this upvoting and commenting, should increase the number of followers I do have on read. I will try to double the amount of followers I do have here!
Others!
And there was of course also some other income. I did start to swap some earning from Splinterlands into BCH, trying to reach the 1 BCH goal a little bit faster. And probably I will do the same next month.
Also did swap some TRX into BCH, but this was more or less a one time action!
I can forget the income from the Celsius rewards. I do send most of my BCH earnings to my Celsius wallet, where I do get some interest on my staking. Last month this was good for 0.000602931 BCH. Not a lot but due to the fact that the staking is increasing the interest income also does increase. This way my BCH is also working for me!
Next month
Read on noise did become my main social networks during the past 2 months I during August this will stay the same. I will try to expand my connections and supports as much people as I can. I will also see if I can find some authors here on noise cash, which do want me as sponsors!
Read can only survive if we do give back to each other! This doesn't have to be a lot, but sharing is caring!
Of course this article will also be published on other social networks, so make some advertisement for read!
Cheers,
Peter
Crypto Portfolio overview: July 2021
The portfolio for July 2021 will be closed and evaluated 2 days earlier than in a normal month. This due to the fact that the last day of the month is within the upcoming weekend! I didn't expect lots of changes but I was wrong!
July was a strange month with up and downs. But Splinterlands had a big impact overall. Not only with the release of their governance token, the increase in value of the cards, but also on the value of Hive! More about that later!
Overall
The overall value of the portfolio did grow with a mighty 18%. I would sign for it, if this would be the case every month. Which is also a great improvement is that I was able to reduce the fiat investment with another 7.23%. If I do compare this with the fiat investment which I did have in the beginning of the year, the fiat investment has decreased with a little more than 36%. So that is on the right track. And for sure because the value of my portfolio isn't hurt that much.
Most of this is profit taking and buying back some tokens at a lower price. After which the profit was returned to real life. Most fiat withdrawal were sales of the splinterland assets.
So, the only thing I have to look at overall is the virtual profit/loss.
There is still a healthy virtual profit. In the past month virtual profit has more than doubled up. This is a massive improvement compared with the start of 2021, when there was still a major loss! The loss back then almost did touch $7.5K.
My complete crypto value is actually much higher than the value reported here. The theoretical value of all my splinterlands assets is valued at $18K. But I do consider this to volatile to include in the value of my portfolio. So I do leave it out deliberatly. Just like in the past, I will try to take some profit out of Splinterlands. The profit will be used to decrease my fiat investment even more and increase my holdings in some coins!
Portfolio share pie
In June, BTC has still the major piece of the pie with 31%, followed by KCS with 17% and TRX with 9%. Well I do expect some changes. Let's find out!
It looks like the leader BTC, did increase his portfolio dominance with another 1%.
KCS also does take a bigger share of the pie, with 19% increased by 2%. And here is the surprise I did expect, Hive does take bronze with a 10% portfolio share, due to the increase of value of the token.
BCH is still on the move. Its share did grow from 0.68% towards 1.51%. Curious how far it can get!
Individuals coins!
Let have a look at some coins which do take a major share in my portfolio.
Let's start with the godfather of them all BTC.
BTC
During the past month I did increase my stake into BTC. Most of the money used was profit from splinterlands. My BTC holdings did increase with 6.4%. The overall value of my BTC holdings did increase with a whopping 21%. Like I did write above, shouldn't all months be like this?
Probably next month some small pieces of Satoshi will be added but some other tokens will get some more attention. I will have to make sure that the dominance of BTC in my portfolio doesn't become to big. Not the type of guy who does want to have all eggs in the same basket!
**TRON**
I am getting a little bit worried about TRX. In China more and more government regulations are in place considering crypto. And TRX does have some kind of partnership with the Chinese government. So I will try not to increase my holdins into this one too much. In the past month my holdings did grow with 1.5%, while the overall value did decrease with 4.12%.
KCS
Still on of my favorite currencies. The best things in my portfolio for KCS is that during the past year it has become a risk free assessment. During the bull market I did some selling and buying back, which did gave me enough profit to have recuperated all the money invested into KCS.
In the past month, the holdings did increase only by 1% (mainly interest) but the value did increase with 34%.
**BCH**
How can I write a portfolio report with one of the fastest growing coins in my portfolio? I can't!
My holdings did increase with a mighty 153% and the value did rise even more with 162%. Most of the increase is thanks to the generous people on read and noise! Thank you all.
But also did some some splinterlands profit to increase my holdings, so that I can beat my ETA of reaching the 1 BCH club.
Next month!
Just like last month I do have the plans to decrease the number of different cryptos in my portfolio. But it is hard to say goodbye to some. Still this would make my life a little but easier crypto wise. Like written in my last post, I am in a vicious circle of questions who I do keep asking myself!
Let's see if I can have a breakthrough next month!
Cheers,
Peter

Crypto does strange things with your mind! It's fooling and tricking us!
I am not complaining that I got into crypto a little over 4 years ago. Even not if you know that I did enter the market almost at the end of that crazy bull run. After some great wins, I kept on investing and suddenly the bears did enter the market! That was a pity. But I was hooked! I kept on blogging about it, playing games and so on...
The problem with crypto is that it is so hard to take a profit. We always want more. Waking up in the morning and seeing one of your investments booming, gives a great rush!
FOMO
We want more tokens and like to convert them in a spreadsheet of via a webpage or app into our local fiat currency! Even the ones who didn't invest do the same. We do want to see the virtual profit rising day by day, we do want to see the tokens we are holding going up. Like I wrote several times above we do want more!
This makes it hard to let go some tokens. I still have tokens in my portfolio since the early beginnings of my crypto adventure! It is hard to let go, because I don't want to sell them with a loss. But if I do look back and if I had swapped them into BTC or another top 10, that loss would have been compensated a long time ago even would have made a profit on it!
The ones involved into cyrpto do know the term FOMO very well. The fear of missing out. But when FOMO kicks in, you are probably already to late at the party.
FOMOOMP
Then on the other hand there is the one I do like to call FOMOOMP. The fear of missing out on more profit. You know the situation that you have made a decent profit on a particular token. So you ask yourself the question, should I get out and take my profit or should I stay in, because I do think that it can go closer to the moon! Often suddenly after waking up and checking the market you are kicking yourself because the market went south. And if the market goes south it often goes south fast!
We all know that we do have to take some profit from time to time. But we also do have some occasions in which taking the profit wasn't a good idea! This of course does hold us back big time and does influence our decision making process. We are humans and our mind does trick us time after time.
Take for instance a situation I am dealing with. Yeah I was smart enough to take some profit. A part of the profit was returned to the real life account and the other part was parked into stables. A wise move. But, yeah there is always a but. The banked part is still in stables. I know I do have to make a decision it but I do keep postponing it! When a bear market is in full swing, there is no better place for your money than into stables, if you do want to use it again into crypto. If not, just withdraw it back to your real life account!
The future!
Luckily for me I do have a virtual profit, but a real life loss. I do consider all money in crypto more or less written off until it has returned into real hard cash again! I am living today and not tomorrow!
My dream is to be able to recover all fiat investments into crypto without hurting my portfolio too much. But that is only possible if you take profit from time to time. In stead of keeping it in cryptosphere! Luckily I am in a situation that my life won't change if crypto would vaporize over night!
I don't have the dream or to illusion that crypto will turn me into a millionaire. I was too late at the party, didn't invest enough and made too many mistakes in the early years!
Nor do I have the illusion that crypto will be able to replace fiat money completely. Maybe it will get a share of the pie but no idea how big that share will be!
On the 31th of this month, it is time again for my portfolio overview! And I know the questions which I will be asking over and over again. It is a vicious circle! One of which it is hard to get out of it!
Each day in crypto is a day in which we all have to make decisions. Even for hodlers.
Do you know this situation and asking yourself time after time the same questions. And probably answering time after time with the same answer?
Cheers,
Peter
Splinterlands is hot at the moment! Can you still earn if you start now?
Well let's find out the question asked in the title of this post. I still had an alt account on Splinterlands. This account was empty just like when you purchase the spell book. So as a matter of fact this is the same situation as someone who would buy a spell book today and start playing the game.
As you can see in the image above the account has now cards at all.
Let's see if we would be able to earn back the cost of a spell book which is $10.
Ways of earning!
Playing
There are several ways of earning when playing the Splinterlands game. The easiest and most straight forward way is to play the game. By playing games you do earn DEC. This DEC can be traded on Hive-Engine for Hive being a gateway to other crypto eventually resulting into back to fiat!
DEC has a value on the moment of **$0.00711.**
On average I do win 0.233 DEC per won game. Not a lot, but we do have to start somewhere!
Not only you do earn DEC, but after completing the daily quest you do get one reward chest in the beginning! When you do climb the league, you will go up and will get more chest as reward the complete the daily challenge!
Of course I did forget to take a screenshot of my first rewards for claiming the daily quest, but it was 30 DEC.
Writing!
SPT can be earned by writing post about writing about splinterlands on Hive. When using the tag splinterlands, you can get upvotes in SPT. Holding SPT does give you an extra piece of the Pie of the SPS airdrop (The Splinterlands governance token). You can stake this SPT on Hive-Engine, or just sell it like you can sell DEC. The differences with DEC are that you don't get SPT immediately but only after 7 days of posting, secondly SPT can be directly used in the Splinterlands game.
SPT has at the moment a value of **$0.00411.**
But of course more tokens can be earned by posting on Hive. First of all Hive itself, which could become a gold mine. Splinterlands does get so much attention and this does drip down onto HIVE.
But you can also earn LEO (when posting about the finance in the game) and ProofOfBrain (using the POB tags). Believe this does all add up.
The start!
Well to be honest this isn't the story of a real beginner. The account (https://peakd.com/@fcb.spt) I will be using does already have some followers on Hive and the posts will be re-hived by my main account (https://peakd.com/@fullcoverbetting).
The account also has already some Hive staked!
So this will be my starting point!
Also I do have some knowledge about how to play the game. My main account does end each season in Diamond II, so I do have a head start compared with a real starter! Or at least I should. I will keep track of my progress and will post about this!
Feel free to join my in this challenge and see if you can beat me:

Splinterlands: decision time!
I have been playing Splinterlands almost of the start of the game and to be honest I did invest more into the game than I did plan and maybe also wanted to. But when playing the game you do want to get higher up the ranks and earn more and more crypto!
While I haven't recovered all my investments yet, the biggest part of it has been recovered. But now the value of my complete collection is getting so big, that if I would sell it all, I probably would be able to recover all fiat money ever invested into crypto. So maybe it is time to pull the plug, sell it all, recover my fiat investment and have a pleasant and free ride on the crypto markets!
But. Yes, there is always a but! Splinterlands could become much bigger, there are very promising sings at there that it could. So I do fear missing out on bigger profits!
My complete splinterlands collection and value!
At the moment of writing this post I do have 364 cards in my collection, good for a total listing value of $10644.93. That is a lot! Way more than I ever did invest in the game. So if I would sell it, I can honestly say that Splinterlands was my best crypto investment ever!
If I do look at the value per element I do get this:
But there is more than just cards. I also own some land, unopened untamed packs, some SPT and totems. This does add another $851.4 to the basket!
So the total does reach $11469.33.
So that should like an easy decision. But still it isn't. What if Splinterlands does go mainstream and the value will keep in rising?
But that "what if" question is probably one of the most asked question in cryptosphere! Why is it always that hard to make a decision.
To top it up, the SPS airdrop, a government token within Splinterlands starts today! This is a daily airdrop based on the value of your deck, SPT, DEC and so on. Do I want to miss out on this?
So what to do?
Clueless I am. This shouldn't be the case or should it! The dollar value of the cards is not what I probably will getting for them. I did take the lowest listing prices to calculate the value. But one card alone has for instance a value of $500. I will happy if I can sell for $425 to $450.
I do think that I will start with selling my unopened untamed packs to start with. That would be good for around $500! Which is a great start in my opinion. This will be followed by the totems and the land. Finishing with the cards, element per element.
Or should I just keep it and take a huge gamble. And educated guess! But I do have no idea how big Splinterlands could become or if it could crash ...
Cheers,
Peter

From this week on, Football will more or less rule our life again!
Like the tittle says, the agendas are already filled up again with football. For the Americans among us, I do mean that football game which is played with the feet in stead of the hands. You like to call it soccer!
Both our sons do play football. Both at their own level but within the same club! Both are looking forward to the new season, but for us, the parents, this means that we do have to give up lots of time! While we do this with love for the kids it does mean making some sacrifices!
Changes!
For both the season will also completely different as before. In Belgium the pitch and number of players does increase according to their age.
The youngest one
Let's start with the youngest one. I still doubt it if he does like Football or not. He says he does and let me make it clear that he doesn't have to play football from us. He does need to a sport and we do require that if he does start with a season that he has to finish the season. During the summer break, he told us that he did want to stop playing football and switch to cycling but at the end he decided to continue playing football. Okay for us.
He does play at the lowest level. No problem with that. Every kids should practice any sport at his own level. Too low or too high and the motivation will vaporize!
Last season they did play 5 a side on a quarter of the pitch, this season they will play 8 a side and the pitch will increase to almost the width of a regular football field. Also the ball will increase a size. 8 against 8 does look more than regular football. Some players are freed when moving from 5 to 8, while others (the more physical players) will have more difficulties to adapt.
He is a lot better than he does think, but just doesn't have the real football mindset and probably also does miss some confidence. He could also work at his concentration. I do hope that he does enjoy it this season! He has two practice sessions per week and a game in the weekend. The good thing is that his practice field is next door! Literally!
The oldest one!
For him the real football will start. He does move up from 8 to 8, to 11 a side. Playing on the full pitch! That will be an adjustment. He does play at interstate level, which is also more or less his level. He is more a controlling midfielder or central defender. He just needs to improve in his decision making. Often he does try to most difficult solution which easier solutions are possible!
He adores football and his the right mindset, but he can go berserk when they do loose a game. For sure if he does feel that some of his teammates doesn't give it all! A few seasons ago this did cost him being captain. Which he didn't mind, because he did hate being the captain of the team!
He wont be getting a new coach because the same one of last year does also step over! They do have a well balanced team, but lack some quality on the bench! This could make it a hard season. 11 against 11 on the whole pitch does require a lot from boys who are starting to turn into men! Lots of changes in their body! Physically as mentally!
He does have 3 practices per week (1.5 hours) and a competition game during the weekend. Some of his away game does take an hour drive. When this is the case an away game easily does take 4 to 5 hours of time. Last season this was easier because the did move from the practice ground next door to another location. While will require some extra time from mam and dad!
Physical he is ready for it, measuring 1.64m at the age of 12! Turning 13 next month!
The agenda impact!
As you can reach combined they do have 5 practices per week. And lady luck wasn't at our side. Each practice session in on another week day! So from Monday till Friday we have to take into account one practice session! Luckily I don't feel forced to stay there. So this will be mostly being the cab driver for one and escorting the youngest one to the practice grounds.
To top is up, the oldest one does play his competition games on Saturday, yep you guessed it right, the youngest one on Sunday! So I wasn't joking that football will rule our agenda!
The only thing I do ask from them is that they do give it all they have! I don't care about a good or bad game, I do care if they are willing to run the extra mile for the team or not. If I do ask them after the game if they tried everything they could and the answer is Yes, I am a proud dad. Regardless of the quality of play!
Luckily this season competitions games are allowed again. Which does mean lots of beers for dad :)
Cheers,
Peter
My new sports betting season starts today!
This evening the new season of the Jupiler Pro League will kick off with the game Standard vs KRC Genk. And this is for the start for a new sports betting season!
Just like past season, copytip will be my preferred bookie. The advantage of copytip for me is that it offers me odds, which I don't get at the local and allowed online bookies in Belgium. Another advantage is that it does track all bets, so that no manipulation is possible, which I do find important for a sports tipper!
Last season!
Last season I did only start in February after a long pause in sports betting for me. Sometimes it is needed to run away from it in stead of going tilt and loosing all money.
As you can see last season was a real roller coaster. Had a great start, following by more or less a flat line. And than the bottom was wiped out under my feet. Loosing bet after bet. Just lady luck which wasn't on my side. Luckily things did change and every bet I placed turned out to be a winner!
Overall I made a ROI of .82%. Hey a profit is a profit.
The hit rate was around 50%. 48 bets placed and 24 won.
This season!
Just like last season my bets will be available on copytip. You can see them after the bet has been settled. But you can also follow me and follow my tips blindly.
I will stick to 1X2, Over/Under and AH bets. I will again follow a flat stake betting system, with a base bet of 6 euro.
I do expect to place around 100 bets this season! I only need 50 winners to make a profit. I do play the odds, not the games. No bet is allowed with odds below 1.7! Playing the odds is the only way to make a long term profit in sportsbetting!
Also like last season I will use 2 strategies. All the bets on the Belgian Jupiler Pro League will be categorized under The Belgian Jupiler Pro League strategy. All other football bets will be categorized under the Football Money Maker! strategy. What is within a name :)
My profile on copytip can be found here:
https://www.copytip.com/en/user/fullcoverbetting
The season did start with a loosing bet on the supercup last weekend! But on the positive side the starting bankroll is a lot higher than when I did start last season. The beginning of a season is always hard. For sure in the Belgian competition. The transfer window is still open for more than a month, so the teams can change week by week. Also hard to predict how the new comers will fit into a team! And what gaps are leaved behind by players who did leave a team!
At the beginning of a season every player and team do have high hopes, some which are crushed within the first month of play!
The most difficult games to bet on are the one of KRC Genk, which is my team! Due to covid I decided not to renew my season ticket! So will be forced to watch all games from the couch!
But the beginning of the season is also hard for the bookies. They do have the same struggles as we have in the beginning of the season. A lot of unknown factors! So you can earn big bucks early in the season but also loose big time!

Betfury Olympic Games! $150K prize pool. Giving it a shot!
Like always Betfury isn't shy of another festival! This time there festival is devoted to the Olympic Games in Tokio! This Olympic Games festival will last for 3 weeks. This festival will last for 3 weeks and had a prize pool of $150.000!
An Olympic Box!
The first thing I did was to purchase the Olympic BNB box. This is a BNB box. The purchase price of the BNB box is 0.01 BNB, but after one month I will get 0.02 BNB back. So doubling my money. I know that it isn't a lot but free money is free money!
Next week they will offer a ETH box, followed by a TRX box in week 3! Not so interested in the ETH box, because I don't have a lot of ETH on Betfury, but will try to grab one of those TRX boxes.
The Olympic Spin!
This is what does interest me the most. Even up to such a level that I decided to upload 2500 TRX, to get some spins at their Olympic wheel. The main prize in the wheel is a whopping 3 BTC! I have no hopes or dreams that I will get that prize.
The earn a spin at their Olympic Wheel, you do need to gamble of course. Hence that is why I did upload some TRX to Betfury. For each $100 wagered in BTC or the equivalent in other coins, you do get a spin at the wheel.
Main prize: 3 BTC
You can see the other prizes at the wheel above!
Already earned myself 2 spins. The first spin did give me 0.5 BFG and the second one 0.02 BSW. Both have a value of around $0.01.
Be aware that wagering at sports only counts for 50%.
Special battles
Of course they also did increase the daily and weekly battle prizes. The weekly battle does involve special slots and will have a prize pool of $7K in BTC each week. Divided among the top 100 players with the biggest wagers.
The daily battle is an -in-house battle. Here the daily prize pool is $7K and is shared for the top 200 players with the biggest wagers.
Due to the fact that I am a low stake gambler, both aren't interesting to me!
The plan of attack!
As mentioned earlier I did deposit some TRX. I will only play with TRX and only their dice game. I will play as safe as I can, hoping not to loose my deposit, which is of course possible.
To prevent myself from getting too much burned, I will withdraw each evening the amount of TRX above 2500, regardless of how much that is. At the end of the festival I will leave the TRX behind on Betfury and will use it for sportsbetting during the coming football season (soccer that is for me).
Feel free to join me in trying to catch as much spins as possible at:
https://betfury.io/?r=602e3adb18edfa1999ca8264
If you thank, but gamble with care and only with the money you are comfortably loosing, because it is possible to loose it all!
Cheers,
Peter
Looking back at driving 4 months with an EV car!
In the beginning of February I will allowed to pick up my long ordered EV car. Due to the corona pandemic and being force to work from home it took some time to driver 3500 KM. Which is more or less a bottom line for getting a good impression about how I do love or hate driving a full electric car!
Since 2 weeks, we not only have one but two electric cars at home, so I do think that it is time to write an appropriate review about driving full electric!
So here we go!
The car park!
I guess I will start with telling which cars we do have!
For me it is the Polestar 2, a Chinese brand which is a daughter of Volvo, the wife has an Ford Mustang Mach E, standard rage. She did want to order the extended range, but due to a miscalculation at the lease company it turned out that this car was out of here budget!
Like it should be we do name our cars, but we do have a disagreement about the name of the Mustang. For me it is simple we do have the beauty and the beast! The beast is on the right, the beauty on the left. My wife likes to call her car "The Bullet".
The beast is simple it is a beast on the road with 408 HP, cruising from 0 to 100 in 4.7 seconds. This is incredibly fast for me, my previous car only had 100 HP. Imagine the difference. 660 nm really does push you forward in a blink of an eye. This is the launch edition, so there was more or less only one option available which was the performance pack. This performance pack did come with golden seat belts, which was the reason I did deny it!
The wife her car is the standard range edition and when ordering it, the difference between an real EV car from an EV manufacturer and an EV car from a major car player immediately is visible. While I did have only one option, the option list for the Ford where multiple pages long!
Also the only way to order a polestar is via the webshop, there are local showrooms, but still the car has to be ordered online.
Charging and distance!
Well the most discussions about EV cars are about the charging time and the distance one can drive with a fully loaded EV. Let's start with charging.
Charging
We decided to order a home wall box so that we can load the car at home. Here is already starts to become difficult. How fast does your wall box have to be and what does this mean for your energy bill and electric network at home. We quickly decided to go for a 7.4KW wall box. That means that it would take around 10 hours to fully charge on of the battery. This did had the advantage that no changes were necessary at the plugs at home. This was a hard nut to crack, we are still relatively early adapters, so not a lot of information is available!
The other requirements we did have that split billing should be possible, so that I can send the bill to the company I work for and the wife could to the same. The other was that loadbalancing should be possible. Load balancing does mean that for instance when the car is charging and we do put on the over, that the wall box has to assure that we don't surpass a configured power consumption.
To bad, the wall box we did get doesn't support neither of the two requirements. So we are currently negotiation with the company of the wife, who did pay and install the wall box what the options are. Will be a long road to reach and agreement. What makes it difficult is that they did pay and it is the employer of my wife. If this would't have been the case, the wall box would have been returned to sende!
But charging at public charging points also works good enough! We do have some 11KW charging points close to home, which also does the trick and recently we discovered a fast charging station which does load at 50KW, meaning that within 80 minutes the cars is fully charged!
The distance!
Well this is complete different story! In Europe WLPT is the standard. According to that the Polestar 2 has a range of 480 KM while the Mustang only has 360 km.
But these are really only indications. There is a huge difference between summer and winter (the heating for instance in an EV does come from the same battery as the engine, while in regular cars this is completely different!). Also a big difference between driving in the city and on a highway. To my surprise it uses more energy on a high way than in the city.
In the winter my car will have an estimated distance of 361 km while in the summer it will be around 427 km. The mustang is performance much worse with 271 km vs 306 km (summer).
Last week we did use the Mustang to drive to the ocean which is around 220 KM and at the trip back, almost fully loaded without traffic jams, we only had 40 KM left in the battery. I have to admit that we were with 4 in the car combined with luggage for 4. Which of course also has an impact!
But if I do look at how many days in the year I do drive more than 300 km in a day, probably I won't get above 5. So beside if you do plan a long road trip, this shouldn't hold you back in buying an EV car. And the technology is evolving fast! The only downside is that if you do need to drive unexpectedly a long distance there is no option to fuel it up at a gas station in a few minutes and drive off. So you do need to take that into account!
The enjoyment of driving!
I will focus only on my car and not the Mustang, I haven't driven a lot with that car yet!
I do think that the Polestar 2 is a real eye catcher, lots of people do start to talk to me about the car. Completing the car and asking lot's of questions!
The thing I do like is that you do have full power from the first centimetre on. And it only has 2 gears! 1 to go forward, 1 reverse! That's is. It is not like an automatic car with still 7 speeds. Nope only 1!
Then there is one pedal drive, which is something you do need to get use to. From the moment I do lift the gas pedal, the car start breaking to generate some energy which is send back to the battery. I only have to use my brake to come to a complete stop. You do need to trust it and enjoy it! My wife doesn't get used to it but I do adore it!
And it is quite, you really only hear the tires touches the road. When I do pull up, it feels like you are floating on the roads! Love that sound and feeling!
But that also comes with a responsibility. You do need be aware the pedestrians and cyclist don't here the car approaching, so I am very cautious when I do need to pass them. I can understand why the government do want that the cars will make some kind of noise!
And it stays strange having no engine it all!
Also it does have some great hidden features! Like the take away feature:)
Being fully Google controlled also has advantages. Everything in the car can be voice controlled from asking to play a specific song to turning on the heating of the seats!
I don't think that I will ever go back to a fossil car again!
Cheers,
Peter

Crypto Portfolio update June 2021
June was crypto wise a real roller coaster. We did see it all, market going south for a few days, did hit the resistance and going north again. But in the end the month was more or less sideways for BTC! But some of my tokens did got hurt during the past month!
June for me personally was a breakthrough month. Finally decided to stake some coins so that they could earn interest! I should have done this ages ago! Due to the fact that I did have to move some coins, the transfer fees are noticeable in some of my holdings, but still I do think that it was a smart decision after all!
Overall
(Orange line) While it was a rather negative month, I still was able to decrease the fiat investment a little bit. It did only decrease with a miserable 1.7%. But it is another step in the good direction!
(Grey line) Still surprised that I am still in a virtual profit zone. I did expect maybe a virtual loss. The virtual profit did decrease with almost 50%. This proves that having some stable coins in the wallet really does help. The only problem I do have now, in what to invest them and maybe more important when to invest them again. Or should I just withdraw then back to the real life!
(Blue line) Not a surprise that the blue line is almost following the same path as the grey one. Not big investments were made in June, only did buy a small batch of Fun tokens, but that was about it!
Share pie
As expected the BTC share did increase this month from 26% to 31%.
The top 3:
BTC -> 31% (+5%)
KCS -> 17% (+3%)
TRX -> 9% (+2%)
Lots of my Forth was sold during the month of June, which explains why the top 3 did increase so much. Last month Forth was representing 12% of my portfolio, now it only holds 2%.
Let's have a look at some individual coins!
BCH
Let's start with the newcomer BCH. I only discover read and noise.cash this month. And I do have to admit that the community has been generous to me. In the past month I was able to collect 0.15 BCH, which can be considered a great start!
It now has a 0.68% share in my portfolio but I wouldn't be surprised it this will jump to 2% next month!
Bitcoin
Bitcoin was one of the coins I did start staking. Only a week ago, but still I was able to increase my BTC holding with 4%. This result is the combination of some faucet incomes and the interest I am getting on the stake BTC. It is a slow start but could turn into a giant snowball running down the mountain!
KCS
Well I do have this coin almost since the beginning of my portfolio and always had it on Kucoin. At the start I was just accumulating but during it's peak I did start to trade it up to a point where all my investment in KCS were paid off. So now free money is earning me some free money. In the past month I did again got 1.5 KCS for free as interest. Who I am to complain.
BNB
Almost forgot to mention this. Shame on me. During June I did use some of the funds after selling Forth, to finally become part of the 1 BNB club. BNB is one of the best pupils in the crypto class and by the looks of it, everything it touches turns into gold. So, while late at the party, I didn't want to miss this. The BNB is staked at Binance and does start to earn some interest. In the past month this was only 0,003007 BNB but will increase next month a little bit. Not too much due to the fact that it is locked staking. Will have to set a reminder that I will lock it up again just after my holiday!
BUSD
Another newcomer in the portfolio, but it is more a replacement of Tether. I do have my tether staked on Binance and did notice that the staking plan for BUSD was more rewarding. With the recent FUD again about USDT, I decided to swap those 2.
Next month!
I don't expect any big changes to my portfolio. I do hope that I can double my BSH and that the passive income will be noticeable in the portfolio. Most of my major holdings are long term investments. The other are just sitting in the wallet to be sold. I really should decrease the different number of coins in my portfolio!
Guess this is enough for now!
Cheers,
Peter

My 4 favorites BTC faucets!
During this withdrawing of the market, there is no reason not to gather some more satoshis. I did want to write BTC, but we should not overreact! Currently I am using 4 different BTC faucets. Each with their advantages and disadvantages. But each day they all add some small (and sometimes bigger amounts) to the wallet.
When using faucets, one need to understand that this is more like a marathon than a sprint. You could be lucky and earn$200 in BTC and just a click. While this chance is possible, don't count on it!
When looking at a faucet, some things are important to take into account. Among others the withdrawal limit and fees are crucial. For sure if you also have a wallet where you do earn interest on your BTC. I am using Celsius for this. Each time when I do reach the withdrawal limit, the BTC is moved to my Celsius wallet. https://cutt.ly/1nVmDVL
When you do reach this point, you do get into the passive earning zone, which is heaven for a BTC faucet player!
Another other aspect is the time you do need to spend on the faucet. Some faucets do require daily attention of even several times per day. Rollercoin is one of those. But because I don't want to spend too much time on a faucet, this one is left out of the overview. https://cutt.ly/LmqI6lt
So let's start!
Freebitco.in
Well I really felt in love with freebitco.in. There are more than a faucet, but in the post I will only focus on the faucet part. You can read a more in depth review of freebitco.in here: A Freebitco.in review: it is more than a faucet! (read.cash) https://cutt.ly/On2xgKY https://read.cash/@TheCryptoGambler/a-freebitcoin-review-it-is-more-than-a-faucet-d17a961e
There are 2 ways of earning some free satoshi on freebitco.in. Both only require a few minutes time per day!
First of all, you can roll the dice freely each hour. The main prize is $200 in BTC, but to win this you need to be extremely lucky. The chance to win this is 1/10000. But don't worry even the lowest prize you can win changes each day and it couple to the main prize. At the moment of writing this article this is 93 sats per hour. 3 weeks ago, this was only 50 sats per hour.
So let's assume that you do roll the dice 10 times a day, that is an easy 930 sats! So that is almost 34000 sats per year! Remember this 30K, it will become clear that this is important!
The second way of earning is their daily email. Each email does contain a free ticket for a spin at their wheel of fortune. Here the prizes go from 50 lottery tickets up to a rolex of $15.000. What about that. Most of the time you will win 50 lottery tickets, 50 reward points or 50 sats!
This month alone I already won twice 5000 sats with a spin. Not bad for just clicking on a link and spin the wheel!
Like all faucets they do require you to solve a captcha, but these are the easier ones on the market. When you do become a premium member the faucet requirement does disappear!
The minimal withdrawal is 30K sats. The withdrawal fees do vary and are at the moment of writing this article 2250 sats. But why would you withdraw it when you do reach that 30K mark, because from 30K they do start paying interest of 4.08% on your BTC holdings. One of the better ones on the market!
I can really recommend this BTC faucet. It is by far my favorite one! If you do want to try it out, fee free to use my ref link: freebitco.in https://cutt.ly/On2xgKY
Cryptotabbrowser
This was is listed as second. This because earning some free BTC is fairly simple and doesn't cost any time at all. You just download there browser: https://cryptotabbrowser.com/18489559
They the only things you need to do, is open the browser and you are mining some free sats per day! I do earn around 1000 sats per week. This isn't a lot, but besides firing up the browser I don't have to do anything.
Each week I do withdraw my earning to my celsius wallet, where it can grow by earning interest! I can write lot's of stuff about it, but there is no need to. It is straight forward and simple. And it does pay out! Already had some withdrawal processed and they all did arrive in my wallet! What is also worth to mention is that there aren't any withdrawal fees. So if you do withdraw 1K sats, 1K sats will arrive in your wallet!
Satoshihero
Well it was hard which one I would have to rank third. But the withdrawal limit did push it into third place. Depending on the withdrawal methode the withdrawal limit ranges from 10K sats to 30K sats!
The main thing I do on Satishihero is to spins their Bitcoin Fortune Wheel. Each 20 minutes you can spin 3 times. After that you will have to wait for another 20 minutes. The main prize her is 250K sats, but most of the time you will 1, 2 or 5 sats per spin. So far I have did spin the wheel 946 time, good for an earning of 1359 sats. So you can expect around 4.2 sats each 20 minutes. Told you is was a marathon. But it adds easily 40 to 50 sats to the bucket each day!
The biggest advantage Satoshihero has is that you can increase your earning by performing other tasks. For instance filling in surveys, downloading games and trying them out and so on. I do try to complete a few surveys per week and with earning between 300 to 1500 sats, this does speed up things. https://cutt.ly/5mqDtDJ
They also do offer games to play where you can gamble with your earning. I have tried them and decided that I will stay away from them. They ante is just way too high!
At the moment I did earn 6851 sats. I do hope that with completing some more surveys during my holiday next month, that I will reach the withdrawal limit.
So far, I haven't discovered a faucet on this site, which makes it quick to earn some sats!
Betfury!
Well this was my favorite BTC faucet before I did understand the others. Still I do keep using this, to build up a bankroll which I can use when the football season does start again!
At betfury they do offer you 2 faucets. One BTC and one BNB faucet. Each 20 minutes you can just claim them, so you know in advance what you will get. But you do need to solve a captcha and those captchas does vary a lot!
The advantage they have is that it is integrated within a complete casino. And their own games can be play with a minimal ante of 1 satoshi. So you quickly can build up a bankroll and try your luck! The more you play, the more BFG tokens you do earn and from the moment you do have 10 BFG tokens, you do get a share of their daily divs. With my account I already accumulated 190 BFG tokens, so regardless if I do show up or not that day, I do earn some Sats, BNB, ETH, TRX and USDT. Just great!
The withdrawal limit has been set on 50000 sats, which is quite high compared with the others! Also they do charge a fee of 7500 sats, which is also way higher than the other faucets!
Still I did have to mention it, because I do claim my sats and BNB on a daily basis! Try to power the holdings up with some moderate gambling!
Also here the withdrawal are flawless. Never had any issue with them!
You can try it out here:
https://betfury.io/?r=5e77bbc926d92f03013d9340
Are you also into faucets and I am missing an important one in my portfolio? Tell me why in a comment and if you want to leave a ref link behind. I will use it!
Cheers,
Peter
Euro 2020: now the tournament really starts!
We do have the group phase behind us and for 8 teams the tournament is over. Th other 16 countries still have a shot for glory. They all still dream of lifting the trophy! Let's see what their road to the final is and what the bookmakers are thinking about it!
The bracket!
Above you do see the bracket and the road to the final for each team! Behind the () the odds of the bookmakers. The lower the odds, the more chance a team has according the bookmaker to win the Euro 2020!
To be honest, I do think the the left side of the bracket is way heavier than the right side. I can imagine that the fans of the teams on the right side, all do have the dream to reach the next round.
On the right side I do think that the Netherlands will reach the semis and probably will face Germany (or England).
If we do have to follow the odds of the bookmakers than the semi-final on the right side of the bracket would be England vs The Netherlands.
The left side of the bracket is a lot tougher to predict. Probably Italy will go through to the next round, but all the other games could turn into real nail biters!
Spain did win their last game with 5-0 but that didn't say a lot! This game could be tougher for Spain then most of us and also the bookmakers think!
France also has a decent chance to march on!
The real clash on the left side is Belgium vs Portugal. It is impossible for me to see which team will go true to the next round, I am pretty biased! Belgium is slightly the favorite for this game. It will be a great offense (Belgium) against a sturdy defense. We also can't rule out the Ronaldo effect! While he is getting older, he always does bring something special!
If you do want to calculate the probability of a team to win the Euro just divide 1 by the odds. So the chance of France winning the cup would be (1/4.75) * 100 = 21.052%.
I will not fill in the Belgium vs Portugal game because I don't want to jinx myself!
What are you ideas about who will progress to the next round?
Cheers,
Peter

Me-time! Is pool time!
Sometimes you only know what you did miss during the covid pandemic when you can do it again! There are probably lot's of things that I do/did miss, but like I wrote you only know it for sure, when you can/are allowed to do these things again.
Some are pretty obvious like giving a hug to your parents or meet some friends again! Other are also obvious but do seems less important!
Yesterday it became clear to me that I really did miss the pool session with 2 of my mates. I do mean shooting some pool and not the swimming pool.
Pre-Covid period!
While I was younger (still young at heart), I did never see myself as a person who would regularly go to a pub. Never it crossed my mind that I would have a "Cheers" experience.
I liked to stay at home, watch some tele or play some games online.
But when my oldest did start with football (the real football, so for some called soccer) you do see people from elementary school and with other parents there is just a click. Two of those went on a frequent basis to the local pool hall. And were constantly asking if I would join them.
After a year or so, I decided to join them. This with the idea that it would be a one time occasion. I am a pretty closed person and do find it hard to make real friends. But hey I did enjoy myself. So it did became a monthly appointment.
Most of the time it was the same scenario. Starting with some chit chat and some coffee, moving over to beer and shooting some pool. All the three of us are used to competition and all the three of us don't like to loose! At the start we did play according to our own rules, not even close to real pool competition rules. (There are some nasty rules like that during each shot, after the first contact was made, at least one ball has to touch the side of the table. As time progresses we did start to get a little bit better and started to apply all competition rules in our games. Still the scenario was the same, drinking coffee, talking about sports and life, shooting some pool moving over to beer.
Just before the Covid restrictions did hit us, we came together at the pool hall 3 times a week. Mostly starting with Sunday, then Wednesday and Friday. We now all have our own pool cue. Our sons no longer play in the same team, but we were bounded for life!
Covid!
The Covid came along. Just before the first lockdown we did think that it would be a measurement for only 3 weeks or so, and while the pool hall was allowed to open for 2 more months in the summer, it has been closed from March last year until a few weeks ago.
In the mean time, we did had some meetings in the backyard of one of us, drinking some beer and discussing life. While this was great, it still was different.
So a few weeks ago, the pool bar was allowed to re-open. Only the terrace outside and shooting some pool wasn't allowed. While the two other did want to go immediately I told them that I wouldn't go until 2 weeks after my first covid vaccination.
Last Sunday on my birthday I decided to go back. And while shooting some pool technically isn't allowed but we still did. As regular guests you do have some privileges.
Yesterday we did go for the second time. And o boy at those moment you know what you have been missing. Just like in the old days, it did start with a coffee, some chit chat mostly about the European Championship and shooting some pool. While the game play of the three of us is still rusty, the feeling does come back. Still we need to move around with the mouth masks but that is a sacrifice we are happy to take.
Probably we will never go back to the routine of three times a week. I am happy at home, but my wife is also happy when I am sometimes during the evening not at home, so that she can relax :). I am a busy bee! So Me-Time! looks selfish, but actually it isn't. During those evenings, I can talk with somebody else about life than my wife. I can talk football, which isn't here cup of tea and so on.
The three of us are always there for each other. We have been made at each other, we have cried together, but above all we do have fun together!
Next week it is time to go to the golf course again! That is going to be a disaster, game wise.
So, do you have some moment that you really did miss during the Covid lock downs?
Like to read about it!
Cheers,
Peter
My dark period on read.cash is over!
Well my account is now 3 weeks old here on read.cash. And to be honest it is tougher to get noticed than I did expect. But hey, acceptance by a new community never goes easy!
It is a combination of working hard, persistence and building a brand! This is my 10th article on read.cash, so time to set up a plan for myself. I do like creating plans, it is the path to reach a specific goal!
The early days! aka the dark period!
Let's call my previous 9 articles my early days on read.cash. I could refer this to the dark period. The period where you do put your heart and soul into an article. After selecting the community and topics, you are full of expectations. How will the community receive my article. Will they like it or not, will the find the time and effort to write a comment! So after pressing the publish button, there is nothing you can do then sit back and wait! But this is a wrong mind set!
It took my some time, to notice that the minute you do place the article, you do get your first upvote! Now I know that this is probably from the randomrewarder account.
I did expect a slightly warmer welcome after my introduce yourself post. But 16 views and more important no comments, wasn't what I was expecting.
Only on my 5th article I did receive my first comment! In stead of blaming it on the community, I did some reflection.
The way ahead!
You can't expect to write your first article and hope than dozens of people will see it, read it and leave a comment. You do have to deserve their attention. And in the current days, the attention span of people is short.
There are 2 ways to tackle this issue!
1. Come up with such a great title so that it is a real click bate! Unfortunately for me, this wasn't a gift giving to me when I was born.
2. Engage with the community and promote yourself by writing genuine comments! Comments which does give added value to the original post! This is something I can do. I do like to read about various topics and do think that I have an opinion about everything. And remember opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one!
So it was time to build my own small community within the read.cash community. I start to engage with people, reading more articles and writing genuine comments. This had an immediate effect, my followers count did grown from 2 tot 12. That's more like it. But this shouldn't be the end of the road. More effort has to be done!
This also had as side effect that I did get more views on my articles and the comments are increasing. Comments are the fuel of my engine. It is easy for someone to click the upvote button! It is a little bit harder to click the tip button. But it is even harder to write a genuine comment.
I did notice the biggest chance when I did write my article of my plan to below to the 1 BCH club. I did got 8 comments, full of tips and advice. Thanks for this! I also did score my first tip. Regardless if I am here for the interaction, such a tip does motivate the author to keep on writing, to keep on engaging.
Building a brand!
Building a brand is pretty hard for me. I do like to write about various topics. So it is hard to create a dedicated brand blog. It would be of course a much easier road to recognition if I would only write about one topic and than a topic which is among the favorite topics among the read.cash community! I have tried this at another blogging platform. And while this of course does speed up thing, I did notice that my motivation to keep writing about that did decrease week by week. So it is better to write about what I want to write about. Regardless if it is well receive by the community or not! It is already hard enough for me to write a article worth publishing!
This will be a step by step process. Regardless of how many comments I would write today, I wont suddenly see the number of followers getting above 100. This is a marathon and not a sprint.
So the brand I will have to promote is ...euhm... me. That's all I can offer. That is my real added value to this blogging platform. If people do like the "Me" brand, than that is just great. If they don't like the "Me" brand, that is pity for me. But at least I am still me and not me trying to be someone else because it would look better!
So, to start of this shameless promotion of myself, I did add finally my profile picture. Okay, I will be honest, this photo is 3 years old. I am much grayer now :)
The only way I can promote the brand is to engage with people and their posts. I was thinking about only commenting and pause the writing part for some time. But that would be useless. I would still promote the "Me" brand, but if there are no own posts , why the hell would people follow me? So, I will split the time between creating my own content and engaging.
Earnings!
Almost forgot to mention this! The tipping structure on this blogging platform is pretty unknown to me. It is great that the earning are directly deposited into your BCH wallet.
But the tipping side, does also come from your own BCH wallet. This tip can become a mighty one if the randomrewarder does follow you. Due to this it would be stupid with withdraw all funds from the platform to a BCH wallet which does earn interest. So withdrawing it all isn't an option for me. Because it is giving and taking. I am not the person who is only a receiver!
Just like knowledge, wealth also can be shared. Sharing is caring!
So, I will leave at least 30% of my earning on this platform to support other authors!
If you do have any advice, feel free to interact with me!
Cheers,
Peter
A Freebitco.in review: it is more than a faucet!
I did start using freebitco.in as a faucet some weeks ago. The more I did look into the platform the more I did like what I was seeing. So it is time to start writing it all down and share my idea with you about freebitco.in. https://cutt.ly/On2xgKY
This post is divided into four chapters.
The faucet
The gambling
The premium member
Earn BTC with an interest rate starting at 4.81%!
So it has something for everybody!
I did try out all features to be able to write this article. This goes from using their faucet, trying out the premium member part up to depositing BTC to see how the earning and gambling part works. So this is a first hand review!
Due to the fact that this is a rather long review and post, the next line is the conclusion!
I do like the site and the complete economics behind it. I can recommend it, but you all will have to make your own decision. I for sure will give it some more attention!
The faucet part
Rolling the dice!
Like I did write in the intro, I did get to know freebitco.in as a BTC faucet. So that was my entry point.
Th BTC faucet is fairly simple. Each hour you can roll the dice once for free. With this roll you can win up to the equivalent of $200 in BTC. Hold your horses before you are already spending this money. You only have a chance of 1 out of 10000. But luckily there are more things to be one. In most case you will win 4, 5 or 6 satoshi, depending on the current value of BTC.
It is up to you what you do with your earned/won BTC. You can accumulate it or gamble it all away. Besides getting small pieces of 1 BTC, you also do get lottery tickets and reward points! More about this later!
Their daily email
This part is often overlooked, but it is where more money can be won, than with the hourly roll of the dice. Once or twice a day they do send out an email. In contrast to for instance, satoshihero, this email isn't spam.
Each mail does come with a ticket for a free spin at their wheel of fortune!
The ticket looks like this and if most of the time situated at the bottom of their email. In contrast to the free foll of the dice, there is a bigger variance in prices to win. We can win extra BTC (Satoshi), Lottery tickets, reward point, Amazon voucher, an Iphone or a Rolex worth a whopping $15K.
The mechanism is pretty simple. If you do turn the wheel, you will get assigned a number between 1 and 1000000. The higher your number is, the bigger the price.
So if you do subscribe to freebitco.in, make sure to use the daily free ticket for a spin at their wheel of fortune. The first time I did this, I was very lucky and did win 5000 sats.
The lottery! (LT)
We all do like raffles and for sure it you can win some free BTC. Well in most cases the top prize of the lottery is 0.1 BTC, which is a considerable amount of money to give away for free.
Each Sunday around 5 o clock, the lottery is drawn. There are 10 tickets who do get declared a winner. 1 ticket could be enough to win, but it will be incredibly hard. Last week 274.806.934 where participating in the draw. The one who did win had a little more than 37K lottery tickets, but the runner-up only had 185 tickets and still got a price of 0.059 BTC! What about that!
So, how can these tickets be won! There are multiple way on this path to richness! For instance each hour when you do roll the dice for free you do get besides the BTC also 2 free lottery tickets! Also with the wheel of fortune you can win tickets, I already won once 5K lottery tickets which the free spin. To bad that this didn't result into a winning lottery tickets!
You also can increase the number of lottery tickets by gambling on their website. For each 500 sats you do wager in the paid dice game or wager on sports, you do get another free lottery ticket!
But hey, there are open for anything and of course they do love BTC, so you can also just purchase lottery tickets. When you do want to purchase a lottery ticket, it does cost 1 sat per ticket!
What I also like is that they are pretty transparent on the chance of winning the lottery. Of course this all depends on the number of tickets you do have!
The reward points! (RP)
This is the last chapter in the faucet part. Lots of people don't see the value of the reward points! But each reward point is the equivalent of 1 satoshi. Just like lottery tickets they can be earned when rolling the dice free of charge once per hour (2 reward points), with a spin at their wheel of fortune (up to 5000 RP). But you can also speed up the process, just like LT you do earn them while rolling the dice or wagering on sports. For each 500 sats wagered you do get 1 RP.
The reward points can be exchanged into gits or just BTC. The downside is that when converting into BTC you do need at least 100000 of these beauties. If you are able to collect the desired 100K RP, you can convert them into 0.01 BTC. See they do have more value than people do thing.
If you are sure that you will roll the dice at least 13 times in a 24 hour period, you can also sell some of the RP and in return you will get more free RP when have the hourly roll with the dice!
The gambling!
Most crypto faucets websites or apps do want to give you the possibility to turn your small amount of Satoshi into a real fortune. Will this could be true, their main reason they do give you the opportunity is because they want it back! But let it be clear, there is no requirement to do so! You can also just pile up your faucet earning. Trying to increase it, can result in a mental breakdown or giving it all back!
Freebitco.in does offer 2 different possibilities.
Rolling the dice
They do call it Hi-Lo, but it is just a dice game. Each roll will result into a number between 1 and 10000.
When you don't change anything and press Hi or Lo, you will bet 1 satoshi with odds of 2. Meaning that if you would win you will get an extra Satoshi. Of course you can choose the odds yourself.
As you can see in the image above, I did set the odds on 2.08. This means that if I do bet Hi, the result should be above 5433 and if I bet Lo the number should be below 4567.
But you also get some rewards for trying to get rich. For each 500 Sats you do wager, you will get an extra lottery ticket and reward point. If you are a big roller, it could more interesting. If you do wager combined (not in one roll) more than 0.005 BTC you will get a Golden Ticket (More about that later).
Betting
Because I am also a sports bettor I do like the addition of betting. On this page they do offer you a number of games to bet on. These aren't only sports but also related to the Value of BTC, FunFair and Ethereum.
You aren't betting against the house but against other Freebitco.in users. https://freebitco.in/?r=41852558
Let's take the past Champions League final as example.
Pick a side who you think will win the Champions league. The users betting on the correct team will share the Prize Pool, which at the moment is 0.219 BTC. Not to shabby I think. After inserting the amount you are willing to wager, the will give you an estimate winning. But this can be different due to the fact that more people can start betting.
Do do also have a time weight multiplier. If you do bet pretty early on the game when it is announced, you will get a bigger part of the prize pool if you bet is on the winning side.
Also in the Betting part of the website you can win Lottery Tickets, Reward points and Golden Tickets.
Win a Lambo Hurican!
Did I tell you already about the Golden Tickets? Guess not, but here we are. If you every wanted to own a Lamborghini, now is your chance.
Don't worry there is no rush. This competition only ends within 121 days. So time enough to see if you can score a Golden Ticket.
Just like the RP and LT you can earn golden tickets by placing some bets or rolling the dice on their website. But it can also be won via the Wheel of Fortune. The wagering requirement is of course a little but, euhm, astronomically higher. You do need to wager or bet 500000 sats, to score a golden ticket.
What I do like is that they will show you how lucky you will have to be to win the Lambo.
And of course they do offer you the possibility to buy the tickets directly. It is up to you if you want to take this or not. I am opting out on this one.
At the time of writing this article I am the proud owner of 4 golden tickets. All earn by trying out the paid dice part of the site!
Premium
They did introduce a premium membership powered by Funfair (Fun) tokens.
Depending on the stake you do have there, you do get extra benefits.
These benefits vary from cashback on your bets, a specified free spins at the Wheel of Fortune and an increased interest rate and the BTC you are holding there.
The Fun token did get some blows in the past weeks, just like most crypto around. Due to it being a gambling related token, it could just fit fine into my portfolio. So why not pull the trigger and enjoy some benefits while holding the Fun token.
I decided to invest 12.5K Fun, this would give me the next benefits.
I am mostly interested in the Free spins at the wheel of Fortune, which you do already get the first day!
The route of investment
There are 2 ways to stake Fun at the the platform. You could buy them directly on their website with BTC, or you do buy them at an exchange and deposit them into your account on Freebitco.in.
I decided to follow the exchange route. I did use Binance I did know that it is an Ethereum based token and I was aware of the out of the world fee on Ethereum, but I did not image that these would be so extremely high. To be able to deposit 12500 Fun, I had to sent over just over 14K Fun, around 1500 fun did the transaction cost. The first time I really felt the flaws of Ethereum. I could have stopped at that moment and just kept the coins on Binance, but I did continue. https://accounts.binance.com/en/register?ref=18267658
Shortly after transaction I did get an email from Freebitco.in that the funds did arrive.
Shortly after that I did get my first 5 extra daily spins.
Wheel of Fortune
While I didn't expect too much of these spins, they weren't bad at all.
I did get the following rewards:
5050 Satoshi
5050 lottery tickets for their weekly BTC lottery
50 reward points.
On average I do win around 100 sats per day with my free spins at the wheel of fortune! Besides that around 1000 RP and 2000 lottery tickets per week. Do notice that these are averages, like above I did win on a day 5050 sats, but there are also days that the WOF doesn't give any sat at all!
You don't have to claim there 5 freely spins per day, they do accumulate. I do try to accumulate them, because I like to do 10 to 15 spins after each other, hoping to increase my luck!
Earn BTC
Do you notice the difference between Free BTC and earn BTC? Will the difference is that this is more or less an investment opportunity. For the moment that you do have 30.000 sats on your wallet; you will earn daily interest on your BTC. At the moment the interest rate has been set to 4.08% on a yearly basis.
To test this out I did made the deposit 2 days prior to writing this post. And yes I nicely did receive the daily interest. While only being 74 sats at the moment, this does beat a lot of other site where you do can earn some interest on your BTC holdings.
I did only deposit 0.005 BTC. While I do trust the site, I do prefer not to stake too much BTC. If and when I can double my initial stake, I will withdraw my deposit. Those are the moments I adore, because from then on it is a free route to richdom :)
Celsius does offer 3.51% https://cutt.ly/1nVmDVL@
Binance does offer only 1.2%
The only thing I didn't test out yet is the withdrawal part. While I can't guarantee that this does work, I have no doubts that it will. Otherwise this faucet site wouldn't have been online for already 7 years!
If you do want to try it out, feel free to use my ref link and don't forget to read their daily email!

Any questions, just ask.
Is there room for improvement in my writing, just shoot!
Don't you believe in freebitco.in, feel free to let me know and give me your reasoning!

Today is a special day for around 0.2% of the world population, for the other 99.2% today is just a regular day!
But each day is a special day for another 0.02%!
When you are young you really do like these days because you are getting closer to lots of things. Middle aged people do accept it as it is. The elderly do appreciate those days more and more because it could be their last one.
Well today I am one of those 0.02%!
So happy birthday to me!!!

Trying to bring the carbon foot print down a little bit more!
I do assume that not all posts here have to be crypto related, it is important to have a broad spectrum of different topics. I do know that posts about crypto do very well here at read.cash, but I do feel it as my duty to write about the topics which do interest me and which are important to me!
Living in the Western world and are financially okay, also 2 kids in the house, so we do feel that we are more or less obliged to bring down our carbon foot print. We are trying to do this without sacrificing the luxury in our lives. Sometimes this is a thin balance.
So, we do have one EV car (I know that there is also pollution when building it), and other one is ordered and expected to be delivered in September, we also do have solar panels and did invest into a new more eco friendly heating system for the house.
Due to the fact that we do have solar panels we try to consume as much energy as they are producing. But this post isn't about solar energy, this is about beverages!
Sodestream
So probably you all did see the commercials of Sodastream in which they claim how much plastic waste can be reduced when using one! So in the beginning of 2020 we decided to buy one. Due to the fact that we not sure how much it would be used, we did go for the cheapest model. There was no use at that time to go for the Rolls Royce of the Sodastream.
We also were not sure how it all would taste at home. In the beginning of course it was used frequently, for sure the kids did adore the idea of making their own soda. When time passed by we did see how it became part of the lifestyle.
And it does reduce the garbage pile of plastic bottles. How I can tell, well that simple. Each 2 weeks we can put specified plastic bags at the road, filled with plastic bottles and metal cans. They are they picked up to be recycled. In the pre-Sodastream area, we often had 2 bags each week. Now this has been reduced to 1 a month!
They also constantly adding new flavors and brands to the Sodastream. In the beginning there were only their own Cola or soda, which did taste good enough for us. But being part of the Pepsi Cola empire also Pespi, Pepsi Max, 7 Up and Mountain dew were added to the flavors. Just great!
There isn't also the reduce in plastics being used, but also it takes a lot less transportation. One bottle of flavored Sodastream mix is good for around 9 liters of Soda, so one truck can transport a lot more.
But we also did notice a downside, one which could reduce the use of the Sodastream and that is cleaning those plastic bottles in which you prepare your soda. These are a pain in the ass to clean and they aren’t dishwasher proof.
So it was time to step up! Yesterday I did bought a Sodastream crystal! This version does work with glass bottles. These bottles are dishwater proof, which saves a lot of time and water. You do know that washing with a dishwater does use a lot less water than doing the dish washing yourselves!
Guess I will have to forward this post to the Sodastream headquarters to see how well I do promote their stuff, without intention! Because I really can recommend it!
Cheers,
Peter
Suppose I do want to earn 1 BCH before the year is over. What are my options? And will I succeed?
I did discover BCH a little time ago. Our first acquaintance was here on read.cash. I did try to write some articles here but these weren't so well received. I do have to admit that I didn't spend a lot of time in building a community here. And we all know that this has to be done. So if there is one to blame, it would be myself!
Since a little bit more than a week ago, I did discover noise.cash. This was a perfect fit for me. While I do like to write long articles, sometimes there is something to say in a few words. While I have been on twitter (not so passionate) so I did have something to refer to. The advantage on noise.cash, is that the user base is a lot smaller, so it is easier to connect with people. So that is what I am trying to do. I do like to call it twitter on steroids.
Due to both I did took the time to get to know BCH and while there is still a lot to learn, maybe BCH could turn into Bitcoin on steroids. I do really believe that BCH could be use a payment system in our daily lives. Not yet, but we are still in the early steps of mass adoption. Well I was late with discovering BTC, so becoming a member of the 1 BTC holding club, isn't really an option. But to become a member of the 1 BCH club still looks feasible! I do know that I can buy those beauties on the market, but what would be the fun about that? Also I do like a challenge!
The challenge!
The big word is out. A challenge. So I will start today with the challenge to be a member of the 1 BCH club before the year is over. At the moment I do have just below 0.05 BCH, so I did gave myself a head start. Yeah for me!
So there is .95 BCH still need to be earned! With 197 days left in the year this would come done on 0.004828 a day. Is it feasible I don't know. But heck I will give it a try.
Due to the fact that I am a number cruncher, some would call me a number nerd, I did create a nice and simple spreadsheet to keep track my progress. And I will report on a weekly basis about my progress in the challenge and way of earnings I am using.
Well there are a few rules:
No false play. I will not spam, cheat or do anything which could be called this behavior.
I will not buy BCH on the market yet!
I will be just me. If people do like this fine, if people don't like me so be it. If people do get a reaction from me, it is and will be genuine.
I will be a tough journey to the 1 BCH club!
I did read stories about people who did write a great article here on read.cash and immediately got promoted to the 1 BCH club. I am pretty sure that this won't happen to me. I do believe it has something to do with the support of @MarcDeMesel .
Several reasons for that. First of all, why would someone support me just out of the blue. Secondly I am not the greatest writer on earth. There is more chance for me to win all lotteries on earth at the same time, that I would be listed for some kind of Pulitzer price.
Secondly, my content isn't a perfect fit for anyone. I do like faucets, sportsbetting and blockchain topics. I do adore sports. But above all, I love my wife and my kids.
So I will write mainly about those topics above!
What will I be using?
Noise.cash
Like I have written above I really do love noise.cash. Interactions with people does give me energy. It is a great way spending my time for me. To read what other do think about something, to comment to it and to broaden my horizon.
My account there is a little bit more than one week old. I do have 69 followers, which is a great start in my opinion! So I will give this lots of attention.
Feel free to follow me there also: Fullcoverbetting (noise.cash) https://noise.cash/u/Fullcoverbetting
So far, all NCH earned are coming for there!
Read.cash
I do plan to start this more often. But I do have a long way to go. I do need to put more effort into creating connections. Into placing genuine comments on topics I am interested about or on topics on which I do have an opinion.
I also have a lot to learn here about the communities and tags. At the moment I do have a whopping 2 followers, so I should try to increase this, day by day, week by week. Rome wasn't build on a day, nor my brand!
In total I have written already 6 articles here on read.cash. In total these articles did get 39 views. As you can see there is lots of space for improvement.
So, my job here is to get people to know me. And if they like what they see, great. If they don't, also good.
Celsius
Well my noise.cash wallet is connected to the Celsius Network, who do pay interest on the BCH you do have in your wallet there. Each monday the interest is paid. At the moment their APY is 4.51%. So each week the interest will push me a little bit closer to my 1 BCH goal. https://cutt.ly/1nVmDVL
This is a step by step process. A marathon, not a sprint!
Things yet to discover!
I did read a post of the MyHero account on noise.cash which apps there are available in the BCH network, to earn some BCH.
I will try to explore those and see, if there is something which could be a great fit for me. I am thinking about:
memo.cash -> BCH social network
member.cash -> discussion and reputation platform on BCH
lazyfox.io -> BCH faucets
juungle.net -> NFT marketplace for BCH
gaze.cash -> BCH youtube version
The other mention in that post don't look like something for me!
Will I make it?
While it does sound feasible, I will have to put some effort into this. All it takes is time, effort and being myself. And if that isn't good enough then that is fine also, but at least I will have tried! My first goal is to have an equal number in BTC as in BCH. Always try to set short term goals, which are reachable, if you do succeed in these, this will give you motivation to push further!
What also is needed is luck. Believe it or not, luck is even important and great writing skills, great ideas and so on. If you do put a lot of effort, one push in the back could be enough to get noticed by others. This is the snowball effect we are all hoping on! You never know in advance who will support a post or not!
If you do have any tips or advice, don't hesitate and drop me a comment. I do respond to all genuine comments. I am a friendly guy!
Cheers,
Peter
Parenthood! The most difficult task in the world!
Not all my post have to be by crypto, sports or faucet related. Or do they!
Let's talk about parenthood today. Being a parent is a great thing. In general your kids do bring you love, joy and stuff like that. You do love them unconditionally. But sometimes it does feel like they are just kicking you in the head. Not once, twice but sometimes constantly.
My kids
First things first. As you could have assumed the cats aren't our kids. Just our cats.
We do have 2 sons. One is 12, turning 13 in August, the other is 9.
The oldest one thinks that he is already 16 and the youngest does have the impression that everything what his older brother can/may do is also valid for him. (Spoiler alert: he is wrong).
The youngest one got sick on Sunday and while we were hoping that he would be able to return back to school today, we were wrong. The fever is mostly gone, but he is still coughing a lot. We did a Covid self test which was negative, phew, and did consult a doctor. He thinks that he has some kind of viral infection. So basically a cold. But he also does suffer from hey fever. And this time of the year it is the worst.
His sleeping isn't what it supposed to be, so in the middle of the night he sneaks into our bed. So you can imagine that our sleep is heavily disrupted!
This alone does give a parent enough stress.
The oldest one is close to his final exams in the first year of high school. He decided to follow a challenging direction. STEM. When we were kids, many many moons ago, STEM didn't even exist. The top brainers would do Classic Languages (Latin and Greek), the other just the regular direction. After 3 years we could specialize a bit. For me it was math, while my wife just stayed on the Latin track. I do have to admit that the math he is getting, is very theoretical already. It took me some time to get into this again.
It appears that puberty does start earlier each generation. And well I do hope that he is in the middle of it and not only at the start, because this is already tough enough!
While he should be an A-grade student, he did slip into a B-grade student. This has nothing to do with his intellect but with everything else.
The kids these days do have an attention span, which is shorter than a gold fish. Besides football they do think that social media, playing games (no not the board games we used to play) does rule the world. So he just isn't interested in studying.
We do try everything to motivate him, but we also do have a limit. His math grades did drop to C-level during his last tests. So 2 weeks ago, I asked him to prepare his exams of next week. Of course not a lot has been done.
So I decided to spend 4 days in a row 1 hour with him looking into his math problems. I didn't had that luxury back in my days.
So while I am thinking that I was trying to help and support him. The only thing I got in return are growls. The first day was pretty okay, but yesterday he didn't even know anything about the topic we were discussing.
This did break me more or less. The stress level was already high enough with the youngest one, add to that the lack of sleep and you can understand that this was the drop which to make the bucket to overflow!
Pffff. This morning again it was no sound at all. Getting used to that!
covid
We don't expect much from our kids. The only thing we do ask is that they take their school serious. It is more or less their job. Both are clever enough so they should get the grades they do deserve.
Also we do understand that Covid also had a major impact on their lives. We always being at home. Sometimes we also choice the wrong option due to working from home and let then game during the lockdown and stuff like that.
The oldest one is getting an age where he has to discover the world with his friends.
We do try to be open minded and are willing to discuss everything with them. But we are still the parents.
The wife and I did decided to let him run into the wall. He knows what grades we do expect and does know the consequences. He does think that we aren't ready to take all digital equipment away from him during the summer vacation, which does lasts 9 weeks here in Belgium.
Well there are 2 possible outcomes. 1 he will surprise us, 2 we will surprise him!
Feeling a little bit better after writing this down!
Cheers,
Peter
The Euro 2020 is around the corner! Who are you rooting for?
This Friday we will have the opening game of the European Championships 2020. Yes the year is correct but the covid pandemic did force the UEFA to postpone it for a year!
Normally the house here would already be decorated inside and outside but this year I didn’t find the motivation to do this (yet)!
This was from during the last World Cup!
Outside it was more moderate!
So now you know that I an from Belgium and do support Belgium! But I do work in the Netherlands! And football wise the Ditch are our enemy! So this was my office space then!
But this year everything is different! There are plenty reasons for this. But the biggest one is covid! Also when I do look around me not a lot of house are decorated. People just do have other worries!
Normally the build up to such a tournament start long before the kick off when meeting friends and discuss football in general. But until recently I haven’t seen my friends a lot in real life!
I do find this a real miss in life. Always like the atmosphere during such tournaments. I do life in a multicultural area. So normally house are decorated with all kinds of flags! But even the other nationalities are staying behind!
Belgium
So let’s talk about the chances of Belgium to lift the cup! According to the bookies we are third in line but I di see this differently!
We still have a golden generation but they haven’t scored any gold medal yet. 2 more chances for them with these Euros and the World Cup next year.
Defense
In the goal there should be no problems. With Courtois protecting our nets we do have one of the best goalkeepers of the world!
But our defense is getting older. You could say more experience but I see only a decrease in pace which could hurt us.
Midfield
We should have a worldclass midfield with Debruyne (Pep he isn’t a number 9, really he is not), Witsel and recently Tielemans. This could be a golden triangle which could hurt many other teams!
But, yes there is always a but, Witsel hasn’t played a game in 9 months due to a torn achilles. So the question is how fit will he be and is he is fit enough what will his form be!
Debruyne. Well he already had minor injuries at the end of the regular season in the Premier League and did get rest to be 100% in the final of the Champions. And there he did broke his noise and eye socket. So also here there are big question marks!
Offense
We so have with Lukaku a world class striker. No doubt about that! He has proven this year in the Serie A that he did mature as striker. He is just impressive. Doubt it, ask the defenders of the other teams!
But on the wings we do have problems. Mertens can be more seen as super sub. And Eden Hazard was more injured than he did play games this year. And again he is coming back from an injury!
Carrasco on the other hand looks great. He did impress me during the last friendlies, but that is what they are friendlies!
Doku is upcoming and could be a surprise for many!
Conclusion
Do we have a chance to lift the trophy. 6 months ago I would have said yes. No doubt about it!
But now with a lof of key players with a doubtfull form I guess it will be even hard to reach the semies. But I do hope that they will prove me wrong!
So what do you thing about the Euro? Would like to know!
cheers,
Peter
The faucet portfolio update 1! 2 of the 7 faucets I use!
3 weeks ago I did start a new crypto portfolio. The idea is to build up this portfolio based on crypto faucets! Faucets are crypto related websites where you can earn some crypto if perform certain tasks.
The ultimate goal is have a total value of €250. Which is more challenging than it looks.
As you can see it is a slow start. At the moment I am using 7 different ways of income. 2 are blog related, 1 is mining via the web browser and the others are real faucet sites. In this post, I will explain some of the Faucets I am using. The others will be for in a next post.
The faucets!
Freebitco.in https://freebitco.in/?r=41852558
This is the faucet in which I do have the must trust in. And if you dive into it, the economics behind it is really clever.
There are multiple ways to generate some extra income.
Roll the dice each hour, for a minimal payout of 6 Satoshi
Read their daily email which contains a ticket for the wheel of fortune
Gain interest on your BTC holdings, this interest start when you do have more than 30000 sats in your wallet. Their interest rate is 4.08%.
Play their Hi-Lo game to multiply your holdings
Sportsbetting with the earned BTC
Win their weekly BTC lottery, with a main prize of over 0.1 BTC.
So there are plenty of ways to earn some extra income. Of course gambling could be tricky because you could loose your complete earning. But then you still have the reward points. Each reward point has a value of 1 satoshi and can be exchanged for BTC when you do have 100000 of those.
My goal here is to earn the 30000 sats, needed to get some interest on my holdings. This will speed up things. 30000 sats is also the withdrawal limit. I am trying to achieve this goal before June is over, which will be challenging.
After three weeks of being active on the site, my income looks like this:
Feel free to join the fun via my referral link, this won't have an impact on your earnings:
https://freebitco.in/?r=41852558
Cryptotabbrowser
Because it is sunny, the next one I want to present is mining BTC with a webbrowser. For this I am using cryptotabbrowser. https://cryptotabbrowser.com/18489559
To satisfy Musk, I am normally also firing up the cryptotabbrowser when we are also producing solar energy.
When you do fire it up, you do get a hash rate. This hash rate determines how much BTC you can mine when keeping the cryptotabbrowser open.
I am using this cryptotabbrowser since the beginning of February and mined so far 0.00005555 BTC. With the current weather being sunny, it almost runs daily during work hours and does mine around 1000 sats in 5 days. Not that much but it all adds up.
The minimal withdrawal limit is 0.00001 BTC. So I could start withdrawing my BTC and move it to the Celsius Network, where it can gather some interest.
The other faucets I am using I will discuss in a next article but to give a complete overview I will list them here! https://celsiusnetwork.app.link/126988e421

Saturday morning thoughts! Crypto mentorship!
Yesterday I had a nice evening with 3 friends. It had been more than 1.5 years ago that we were in this setup.
So there was a lot to talk about. Ranging from sports to beer, from Covid to crypto.
I am the only one involved in crypto but only do hear and read stories about big wins in crypto and rarely about the big losses.
But all are interested stepping in to this crazy world. But the thing which do hold them back are the complexity of wallets and the fear of time they have to invest in.
Suddenly the idea was all to put €50 together a month to slowly create a portfolio. I was easily decided bu them that I should manage that.
Guess we will need another evening to see of this will go from plan to action or not.
But the willingness of people to step up into Crypto is increasing. The people who could keep on working during Covid, did save a lot of money. Not spending it at vacations, restaurant or out visits.
These all could be great signs for the upcoming months for the cryptowold. Maybe we are still at the beginning of the bull run!
During this discussion I also did explain to them faucets and give them the link to one which doesn’t cost a lot of time, is simple and where the earning also could be used to bet on sport games.
The one I did introduce to them is freebitco.in.
This will earn them some satoshi but also will make then follow the market a little bit. https://freebitco.in/?r=41852558
So I still think that faucets can be a great introduction to the cryptoworld.
And there are more and more people willing to step in but they do need a guide. Someone who is open and transparent. Someone who had nice wind but also terrible losses. And someone who does have to guts to propose coins to invest in.
This is task we all should be willing to fulfill but it also does come with some kind of pressure. There is a big difference between writing a crypto related article and to give advice to people you know!
Still doubting if I am willing to do this. But if we don’t would else would do it. A big chance that they will jump on a hype and get burned which will result into another lost crypto soul!
Cheers,
Peter
Crypto Portfolio Update May 2021: FORTH did save the month!
Another month has written to the record books. In cryptosphere it is more or less a bloody month, with almost all tokens loosing a big share of their profit compared to the beginning of the year. But most are still in the green since 1-1-21 and that is something we have to keep in mind.
May 2021 was also a month with lots of movements in my portfolio with some newcomers, trading most of my USDT against BTC and of course Hive!
Overall
The overall value of my crypto portfolio did go south with a little but more than 30%. So it wasn't a real nice month. But if I do compare with the beginning of the year, it still more than doubled so I can life with that. But I do hope than June won't be the same as May.
I only returned a small amount of crypto into the real world again. I do expect that in June will flow back into Fiat, but in Crypto you never know!
I like to see the orange line as close to 0 as possible and of course grey above 0. I do know and understand that as long as cryptos aren't converted back into fiat it is only a virtual loss or profit.
BTC still has the biggest share of my portfolio and is increasing its lead. The bronze medal goes to a newcomer FORTH. But more about that later on!
Let's dive a little bit deeper is the most important changes in my portfolio.
BTC
I still do believe in BTC and did increase my holdings with 20%. The biggest part does come from trading 20 FORTH for BTC. I am now very close to my goal which is to have 0.1 BTC in my wallet!
HIVE
I did write in the past month that I giving more attention to the Hive blockchain and what is better prove than to invest in it. So in the past month I did buy 500 HIVE in the market and did power this up. Not that I am seeing an immediate effect, but this is a long term investment.
Also in this portfolio update, the value of the Hie tokens isn't counted. I will write a separate post about this later on this week.
My HIVE holding did increase with 30%.
FORTH: a magical airdrop!
Well just like some here on Hive, I also do publish on .. euhm ... Publish0x. You do earn there, among other, also AMPL. Believe it or not, but in feb of this year 1 AMPL was withdraw to my metasmask. And this was enough to get 92 FORTH during their airdrop! How crazy is that. This really did make my day.
For the moment I did sell 20 FORTH for BTC and am planning to sell another 60 this month, but first I do need to have a plan what to do with it.
I am planning to leave 12 FORTH on metamask, you never know.
You can find me on Publish here:

Ethereum
Will I did decrease my holding in ETH. When it was close to alltime high I decided a small part taking some profit. The idea was to convert this into Fiat, but it was back invested into mostly KCS.
My holdings did decrease with 33%.
KCS
Will I still do believe in KCS. After selling 87 KCS in April, I did buy back 45 KCS in May. Luckily for half the price I did sell them. Regardless of my buy back action, the value of KCS in my portfolio did decrease a lot.
FUN
Will I do buy some FUN also. I did need some FUN to test out the premium membership of Freebitco.in.
In total over 14K fun was purchased. Time will tell is this was a good decision or not. But as crypto gambler I don't believe that it is a misfit in my portfolio. https://freebitco.in/?r=41852558
June
No idea what June will bring us. I do hope that I can reach my BTC goal and start building up some ETH again. But the main focus is trying to decrease my overall FIAT investment again.
Also do need to figure out what I am going to do with FORTH. I will keep 12 at Metatask and the remaining 60 will probably be sold or converted into another crypto!
Cheers,
Peter

The Crypto Faucet blog
Hi fellow read.cashians; I recently joined this platform, so it is time for a short introduction.
I have been in the Crypto world for around 3 years now. I do see one of the biggest problem for crypto onboarders is that it can be overwhelming. This is where I do believe that crypto faucets, can be an excellent addition.
Newcomers who first discover a crypto faucet before getting burned into a scam coin, will probably stay longer.
Faucets were originally invested to attack interest into Bitcoin. Believe it or not, but in those days, people would get up to 5 BTC for completing a task. If they did keep these, they would have been rich now.
Faucets are still used to attract newcomers to the cryptosphere but also to learn wintered crypto veterans about a new coin.
My challenge!
As I wrote, I am familiar with crypto, but I just want to find out if you can create a decent crypto portfolio without spending a dime!
I will report weekly about my progress and about discoveries. I did start this challenge a month or 2 ago, but only since last Friday I do have some decent tracking going on. So be prepared for a first report.
For the moment I am using 5 different faucets. The one more time consuming than the other; the one more rewarding than the other. I will only report and write about faucet sites, which I do use myself. Site which do look transparent and in which I do have faith in; if that is possible with the crypto world.
Cheers,
Peter
